I had a remarkable day tour with Full Day Punta Cana, the kind of experience that makes you step out of your comfort zone and embrace new exploits.
We kicked things off with the dune buggies—gritty and exhilarating, splashing through muddy waters, kicking up dust and laughter in equal measure. On one of the days, we stopped at the blue lagoon cenote (a natural freshwater sinkhole), where the scenery was captivating, and the people jumping in looked like they had stepped straight into a movie scene. On another day, we visited a natural-looking pool cenote, tranquil and stunning, offering a completely different but equally magical swimming experience. After the buggies, we had lunch: light, satisfying, and just enough to refuel without weighing you down.
Next came horseback riding, something I hadn’t done in ages. Even though I was out of practice, it felt grounding and spirited, connecting me to a simple joy that feels almost timeless. Then we braved the zipline, which transformed what I thought would be intimidating into a spellbinding sense of weightlessness, culminating in a splashy landing in the water. We rounded off the day floating down the lazy river and relaxing in a waterfall pool, a stunning way to unwind and savor the experience.
