Infringement of intellectual property rights

We recently noticed that our copyright had been infringed when three documents were uploaded to the Yumpu website without our consent. After contacting customer service, everything was resolved and the documents that had been uploaded to the website were removed. Great service and support

Never had an issue with the service. We work with many clients and sometimes set them up with services on our onboarding. Requested a refund after I was billed the full subscription price.

I was billed the full subscription price after a trial without any notification ahead of the charge. I had requested a refund as it states in the companies policy that I would be notified ahead of renewal. I would have cancelled had I been given a proper notice, i reached out for a solution however the customer service representative I spoke to was extremely blunt and micro aggressive (jurgen). I had provided evidence that no communication was sent however the customer service representative would not budge. I am extremely unhappy and would urge anyone think carefully before joining, they also seem to viewing my ip address whenever i am online which is concerning. Deleted my account since and will happily clarify further detail.

Joined as a client to platform my…

Joined as a client to platform my magazine. My magazines would not load, I even went as far as to get an external contractor to help but no look. I requested a refund as I had paid for a service/subscription which did not deliver. I was offered to speak over teams, but I work in the day and unable to make that, an email and a refund would have been perfect. No refund. No communication. No magazine. I have subsequently had to move across to a different platform.

Skip it total scam they show you the paper or book you seek then make you sign up make a profile that has your information in it they point point out this cannot be changed later then once you are all through with that and you click the link to the book. you cannot read it cannot download it. they tell you its unavailable.

Yumpu stole our book and is publishing it illegally.

Yumpu is allowing people to read my wife's book for free, without her permission. The only way they could have got it was to purchase the kindle book from Amazon and change it to a PDF. So is this site committing widespread theft or are we the only victims?

A Disgraceful Company: Thieves of Intellectual Property

Yumpu doesn’t respect authors' rights. Do you really want to be complicit in this? Not all authors live in luxury homes or drive fancy cars. Many of us rely on our work to make a living.

I discovered by chance that my book had been uploaded there. It’s true that after my complaint, they removed it. But the user who uploaded it has thousands of books—most likely without respecting authors’ rights—and those are still up.

So no, Yumpu doesn’t respect the law or authors. Would never ever trust this company.

Regarding your statement: Your statement that you take copyright protection seriously is nothing more than empty words. There are thousands of stolen books on your platform, and the situation continues unchecked. In fact, the user who uploaded my book has increased the number of books in their account, which strongly suggests that Yumpu does not enforce copyright laws effectively.

Updated March 12, 2025:

Today, I discovered that my book has been uploaded yet again. You claim that you "take the protection of copyrights very seriously and assure that every reported case is carefully reviewed and appropriate action is taken." However, this is clearly not true.

The user in question has continued to upload thousands of books in the meantime, demonstrating that no real action has been taken against them.

I just started to upload all my archive…

I just started to upload all my archive of magazines we have published and I think Yumpu is really easy to use. I loved the easy way to insert videos and external links and it was so easy to embed my publication in my website
I just ask for help with the view on my phone. It seems that on the phone the magazine is not a flip e-paper.
Anyway I think Yumpu has a very good value for money.

Plenty of embed options. Easy to use. Personal attention to users when needed and with great efficiency. You can pay for one year or just for one month or as many months as needed. I have been publishing with Yumpu for years and I only have good words for them.

I too am still being charged $240 for a…

I too am still being charged $240 for a trial membership they would not allow me to cancel after the trial period unless I paid the balance due. Since I didn't pay for the second month (after they auto drafted the money for the first month) they BLOCKED me from accessing their site and are STILL billing me.

I didn't even use their services! And now they are sending rude emails threatening to take me to court because the amount was refused by bank last month.

They must be desperate to hold on to whomever is gullible enough to begin a trial with their company.

I have never been told I couldn't cancel once a trial period was over. And $240 for their services.. a month? FOR WHAT?
