The broadband has been OK since it was installed a month ago. However, the install process was chaotic. I booked an appointment for the install to start, only to find out later that this was entirely... See more

Reliable, consistent service. Quality company, great people. There's no comparison.
When I heard about Zen being the only Which? recommended broadband supplier for 6 years running, I had to check it out. I completed the online transfer process but the website wouldn’t take my card payment. I called the support line and spoke with Matt Gaughran. He escalated the issue for internal investigation and waived the card payment as a goodwill gesture. He then took the time to explain their monthly charges are fixed for 2 years, they often reduce the charges for loyal customers and provide sector-leading hardware. He then followed this up with an email confirming our discussions and providing his email and phone number should I require any further support. After suffering the frequent price hikes of Sky and the only means of support being an automated app, this was a very welcome change and a business model that certainly appeals to me and my needs.
Hopefully the excellent first impressions continue, well done Matt and Zen, I was very impressed!
Been a broadband customer for several years but it's not the company it used to be.
I upgraded from copper to full fibre broadband when they emailed to say it's available. Worst decision I ever made. Now I have a 2 year contract and the worst fibre install possible. Instead of using the same route as the copper that was there they took an entirely new route based purely on it being quicker and easier. They have strung a cable across the back of my neighbour's property so close they cannot open their bedroom window properly. Now weeks later they still haven't done a single thing to resolve it. Lots of platitudes about it being escalated to the highest level but all follow-up is done by me. They haven't initiated contact once with any update. Their phone lines now have a permanent "we're currently experiencing high call volumes" and the department I'm forced to deal with only works 5 days a week 9-5. No idea how they're winning all these awards for customer service. It's not from good customer service.
And the kicker? In addition to being on the hook for almost £1000 if I cancel I can't actually go back to my old connection since after upgrading I am no longer permitted to have copper broadband. So I'm stuck with a fibre cable that's made my neighbour who used to water my plants and collect my mail when I was away hate me and no way to stop using it.

I have been with Zen for a few years now and I have upgraded with them twice now. When I upgraded the last time, there was no price increase, I just had to sign up for 2 more years.
It has never let me down and I also have an internet phone line with them
Reliable with good and knowledgeable customer service
The whole setup initially was great.
The service itself is great most of the time, but due to where we are, it drops quite frequently. So I've tried several times to speak to technical support, but can't get through. Which is very poor.
The fact I can't get through to technical support is why I gave 3 stars. I would have gone 5 otherwise.
The service is reliable, and the company personnel is easy to reach by phone or email etc. I also rate the non increase in cost which most other companies land on users twice a year.
The only downside for me is that sometimes the strength of the WiFi reception can be a little weak.
Knowledgeable, easy to deal with as I have been a Cisco network engineer for over 40 years

Staff are very helpful but, WiFi is not as good as Sky who I was with previously, also Zen charge for a booster which Sky supplied for free.

I have been with Zen for about 5 years and on the whole it has been trouble free since the initial set up when the technical team talked me through the installation. When I moved house this year there were a few hiccoughs but Zen helped with OpenReach delays!

Very helpful on phone. Lose one star cos initial order was lost
However. Zen is by far the best of broadband providers I have used.

The process of moving from my previous internet provider to Zen was achieved without a hitch, thanks to the efficiency that Zen exhibited. From the moment I first contacted Zen, through the website, the management of moving my broadband was achieved without disruption of my broadband service, and communication and support from Zen, when required, was exemplary. Night and day comparing Zen to my previous provider.

I like the fact that your contract stays the same throughout. No price increase, which is what we need from now on. I haven’t experienced any problems with the service and when it was installed, I was walked through everything. I even recommended Zen to a friend, who also switched to them. I would say to anyone, if you are looking for a great deal with no yearly increases, then go with Zen. They will send reminders every month of when they will be taking the payment and the amount. I am very happy with Zen.
