Ridiculous handling fee. It’s almost the price of the replacement part.

I bought a polycarbonate suitcase about four years ago, and one of the handles recently broke. I ordered a replacement part, but was charged over $30 in handling fees — almost as much as the new handle itself.

It’s very frustrating to be charged such a high fee just to repair a product that is supposed to have replaceable parts. At that price, it hardly feels worth fixing, and it discourages customers from choosing this brand again. Unfortunately, this experience makes me hesitant to purchase another suitcase from this company in the future.

Worst suitcase ever, never had as many problems with ANY other brand

Bought an aluminium carry-on. First, a lock wouldn't open. Sent it in, received a new one. This one opened, but after just a few times of usage, wouldn't lock again because a latch broke. Sent it in a total of three times, because it always broke. Reason for this was that they constructed the whole lock in the cheapest possible manner with a lockhold just glued onto the latch. This was not the only corner-cutting to be found in this almost 1000$ piece of cr*p. Why they think that the only important thing is the aluminium body and the rest could be neglected for making a bit more profit is beyond me. Buddy of mine had the exact same problem, and we are both back to value luggage as we refuse to be suckers for brands who regard their customers as dumb show-offs who don't care about quality. Never again.

Products unusable aft 1.5 years

TL;DR: I bought two ZH items. A year and a half later, both are unusable and ZH will not replace them. Bad products, bad customer service.

I bought two Zero Halliburton suitcases within the last 1.5 years: the Geo Aluminum International Carry-On ($1,050) and the Classic Lightweight 28" ($745). After normal monthly use, both became unusable.
The Geo Aluminum’s combination lock failed, then a latch stopped closing entirely. ZH refused to replace it and would only repair it if I shipped it at my expense and bought a temporary carry-on to use while theirs was being fixed.

The Classic Lightweight lost a wheel during airline handling. ZH wouldn’t assist because it happened at an airport, and the airline didn’t cover the full cost.

Bottom line: two premium bags became useless in less than two years, with no reasonable support.
Check the ZH reviews from long-term owners, not the honeymoon reviews.

Overpriced Chinese made products

Overpriced Chinese made products. They claim it’s “designed” in the USA.they have gone out of their way to hide the fact that all their products are made in china. I asked, and there was no response, which is another thing, you can only reach them by email. No phone numbers. Then after you receive it, they finally say,” our products are designed in USA and made in china to specific specs”

Do not buy Haliburton Zero Luggage the…

Do not buy Haliburton Zero Luggage the warranty is a scam. They tell you its lifetime and this is how they get around it. For a simple wheel replacement they tell you to ship the entire case back to their repair facility knowing that would be astronomical shipping cost or impossible (internationally). The wheels simply pop on and off easily but they wont ship replacements out. Its all a scam, I have 2 cases I spent over $2000 that are worthless and both have the same issue, btw I have only used them once.

I've been using my Zero Halliburton suitcase for 10 years, and it's been a reliable travel companion through countless trips. Only recently did one small piece break, and when I reached out to customer service, they were incredibly helpful and quick to address the issue. The durability and exceptional service make this suitcase a standout—couldn’t be happier!
