Zing Energy designs and delivers complete renewable energy systems that are built around each property, its energy use, and the people who rely on it. We support businesses, public sector partners, housing providers, and residents with practical energy projects that are carefully assessed, clearly managed, and properly completed. Our approach starts with understanding the site, the customer’s needs and how energy is used day to day. From there, we specify the right system, manage the installation with care, and make sure compliance, certification, documentation, and handover are handled properly. For organisations, that means a reliable project partner focused on lower operating costs, reduced reliance on grid energy, and long-term value. For residents and end users, it means clear communication, respectful work in and around their property, and support from a team that understands installation work affects real homes and routines. Zing Energy focuses on doing the right work properly: survey-led recommendations, managed delivery, quality workmanship, and a smoother experience from first conversation to final handover documentation.

You didn't tell me when they would be arriving, or how many even though I explained my illnesses to you. You told me one thing was happening then the workers turned up to do something totally different. I wouldn't recommend you to anyone. Your call operators do nothing but lie and aren't helpful at all.

Just moved into a property that had the solar and heat pump installation through a government grant two years ago.
I am astonished that the installation was approved by the person in charge as it is absolutely awful.
Radiator pipework has been drilled through an existing architrave and then connected to the radiator at the top and bottom instead of it just being at the bottom.
The water tank is far too large for the cupboard in which it is installed so the doors cannot close and are permanently open.
The system has had a leak in the loft for a while and only noticed because no there’s a hole in the ceiling.
Electrics inside the cupboard have just been connected into a junction box and left laying on the water tank.
I contacted Zing to see if the install could be moved into the garage as every other property in my close has had done and was told no. The previous owner had agreed the install and signed it off and as far as they’re concerned it’s not their issue.
Well if getting someone close to 70 years of age to agree on an install that is so not appropriate for the property is their only back up then I would avoid Zing at all costs.
Indeed I would go as far to say that their contracts to install any grant related work should be taken from them and never be reinstated.
I have tried several local contractors and none of them want to touch the install.
Following this post I received a response from Zing clarifying the installation date and that no concerns were raised at the time regarding the installation.
That does not absolve you from installing a system that has glaring no no’s. I have been in various trades over the years and none workman I have ever worked with would have carried out work in the manner it has in this house.
If the previous owner was told that the installation had to be done that way why would she have questioned it?
The hot water cylinder is too large for the cupboard in which you installed it. Why has this been done and not queried by the contractor, not the customer?
There is a radiator with its pipes drilled through the architrave at an angle at two separate heights. Why was this approved by the company?
It seems to me that Zing employed sub contractors with little or no experience in installations.
Nobody from Zing would have been to the property to sign off any works and if they did then they are complicit in this mess as much as the contractor who installed it.
Any company worth anything should rely on its reputation for quality work, not rely on the fact that nobody queried it before the warranty period expired.

The work was carried out efficiently, the contractors who came were polite, helpful and kept me informed on what needed to be done in my home.

Happy with the workers at my home. Quieter and politer than blokes on a roof can be expected to be in the miserably cold weather. The solar panels will take some getting used to but everyone’s in the same boat and they’ll my bills easier so I’m very pleased.

Everything from the my initial application has gone smoothly. Zing were polite, efficient and everything went along smoothly, they organized a surveyor to the property to evaluate what and where installation was needed. They informed me when installation was due and this was prompt. Their contracting team of craftsmen including Gas fitters, Electricians roofers etc were all first class. I would highly recommend Zing as a company. You can’t get better.

I contacted Zing on 02/10/2025, after my heat air pump had been serviced, with some issues highlighted in the engineer's report. The Air Pump was not level, some wires inside had not been correctly dealt with and the hole through the wall had not been filled in correctly.
All these issues have now been sorted to my satisfaction.

Well managed from start to finish. Easy to get hold of someone at Zing if there was a query. Workers were hardworking and polite. Thanks very much

Zing installed an Air source heat pump and solar panels at my mother's property. Properties need to be well insulated for this type of system to work economically. They identified at the outset that there may be a need for further roof insulation. No additional insulation was provided even though there is clearly a need for it. Trying to get an answer from them was difficult and the last piece of advice they gave was to contact some local company to provide the insulation. I've tried doing this ie contacting a local company but I've had no joy with the most local outfit saying they were just inundated with work. So, I am left in limbo and another autumn and winter is fast approaching.

Took our money and wasted months with internal delays and excuse after excuse for not proceeding. Avoid this company at all costs.

I had External Wall Insulation, Solar panels, a heat-pump and boiler installed. I was not expecting a great service/job based on passed experience with various types of labourers, but the quality of work with Zing restored my faith that there are very good workers out there. They all worked like Trojans and did an excellent job.

The people and workers are great no complaints. It was extremely long hours for them and us and because they were pulled off my house to do another maybe the standard of workmanship suffered. The plastering wasn't great and the skirting boards were just straight bits of wood as opposed to matching them in. Two of my light fittings were broken and they did not replace them but did fit the new ones I bought for free. The problem was after, the heat source is so slow to heat the radiators they did not sign off the solar panels and I am still waiting for EDF to recognise my panels. That bit could have been explained or had help with to do all that. It's expensive to run this system and I haven't been able to use it on benefits.£30 for 9 days. I'm sat here with a hot water bottle just like I did before it was installed. I got it done because of future house sale.

Had solar panel, loft and interior insulation, heat pumps fitted. Although a lot of upheaval at the time, work completed in 8 working days. Every team - plasterers, plumbers, electricians, loft insulation, office admin, rubbish collectors have been brilliant, they all work incredibly long hours and are very professional, good rapport with everyone, excellent communication throughout, would highly recommend.
The engineers at Zing Energy did a great job of installing our solar panels. I would highly recommend them.
