Cheap quality - scratches within days

Whereas the design is beautiful the quality of the product(dinner table) lacks. Even with very careful use there are visible scratches all over the table within days.

We contacted customer service and were told that this is normal and they would not do anything about it.

Great service - and product!

I ordered a Storm table directly from Zuiver. It was delivered already on the next day, very well packaged. Unfortunatelly, there were some issues with 2 of the legs. After contacting Zuiver via email (it was Friday evening), I initially received prompt reply on Saturday but then the response ceased. I called after 5 days without a reply and was very well answered by their customer service. My new table arrived again the next day - this time without any issues. The old table was collected in a couple of days.
Despite the issue with the first table, I'm giving 5 stars because the customer service was exceptional - and because the table is great!

Awful quality. The "Dutch" brand is just a marketing facade

Wish I could attach a photo to my review.

We bought 5 Zuiver Jort Rattan chairs in Grey/Natural three years ago, and one immediately arrived with the bottom bar unsoldered. We are a family of 4, so that chair was standing as an extra anyway, so we let it go.

After around 1,5 years, the seats started showing signs of wear, and in 2 years three chairs completely ripped. We aren't overusing those chairs - just for family meals. The declared chair load is 125kg, but no one is our family is above 80kg (me and children are much less). So the chairs got destroyed (I mean, fully - with the seat falling out) in about 2 years, with reasonable to low usage.

I couldn't remember where I bought the Jort chairs, so I contacted the "manufacturer" - Zuiver - directly.

I was ready to pay for the replacement pieces for the seats. Any manufacturer surely has those... unless they don't manufacture themselves, of course. I am in manufacturing business myself, and I would do all I could if our products started falling apart.

But not Zuiver.

I was told that they cannot help me in any way, and, if I don't remember where I bought the product, there is nothing they can do. (I wonder what difference it would make, but ok).

Truly appalling approach for a supposedly "high-end designer European" company. The quality is awful, especially for such a price. I will, naturally, never buy from them again, as they don't stand behind what they produce.

Repeat defect: base crumbled again on Zuiver lamp

This is now the second Zuiver Metal Bow floor lamp I’ve owned, and unfortunately it has suffered the exact same problem as the first one I reviewed here in 2023: the base completely disintegrated.

The first lamp, purchased from Westwing, was refunded in full after I contacted customer service and posted my original review. I was told this was an unusual and unheard-of issue.

However, with this second lamp, things are even more disappointing — out of fear of a repeat, we didn’t even touch or move it after installing it. Despite that, it suddenly tilted. On inspection, we discovered that once again, the filling material inside the base (beneath the metal shell) had crumbled into a powdery, salt-like substance.

The lamp has been treated with care, never subjected to shocks, and is otherwise in perfect condition. For a product at this price point, having the same failure twice strongly suggests a design or material flaw, not bad luck.

I am now waiting to hear from Zuiver on how they will handle this and whether they will address the underlying problem so it doesn’t happen to other customers.

Beautiful couch

I bought the zuiver senses couch. We love it!! It’s as described.. feels plushy and comfy and big.. so far (2 years) we are happy with our purchase.. I do recommend to turn around the cushions, from time to time..

Avoid this brand if you value your money

I am beyond disappointed with my experience with Dutchbone ( one of Zuiver brands) and feel completely deceived both by the product quality and customer service.

I purchased six chairs at a premium price from a trusted vendor carrying the Dutchbone brand, expecting durable, stylish furniture. What I received was a total disaster. Two of the six chairs were already damaged on arrival — wood was peeling, poor craftsmanship, and clearly substandard materials. The vendor sent replacements, but that was just the beginning of a nightmare.

Within just six months of NORMAL, regular use, every single chair started deteriorating — wood peeling off the edges, deep cracks, and even the leather coming apart. When I contacted the vendor, they dismissed it as "regular wear and tear." Are you serious? Thousands of euros spent, and this is what you call normal wear and tear?

After the vendor went bankrupt, I reached out to Dutchbone directly, expecting some level of responsibility from the actual brand behind the product. What I got instead was arrogance, denial, and contradictory excuses. First, they claimed they’ve never had such complaints before — then they said the damage must be due to improper use, they had complaints but not to this extent before. Which one is it then after all? No issues before or just constant denial and excuses for every complaint you get?

Their idea of a solution? A “small discount” on another purchase from the brand. Why on earth would I spend another cent on a brand that delivered such poor quality and zero accountability? I still have the wrecked chairs, peeling and cracked beyond use, as a daily reminder of this expensive mistake.

Dutchbone clearly does not stand behind their products, and once your money is taken, you’re on your own. I have never experienced such a blatant disregard for customers and such unprofessional handling of a clear manufacturing defect.

If you value your money and expect furniture to last more than a few months, stay far away from this brand.

Ofcourse I understand your frustration. We have tried to accomodate you within and outside our guidelines. When an vendor goes bankrupt, we will take the warranty upon us for 2 years after the purchase date. This counts for production issues. We have seen damage to PU leather or chipped paint before after a certain number of years, but the extent of damage in the short period of time you have shown us in the pictures shows a clear external factor that is not caused by an error in production.

I am sorry to hear we could not improve your perception of our brand or offer a satisfactory solution.

Overpriced and Poor Quality Service – Not Worth the Money

I purchased four NDSM chairs. Three of them were fine, but the fourth one had both quality issues and a missing screw. The company replaced it with a new chair, but once again, a screw was missing, making it impossible to assemble. For such expensive chairs, I expected much better service. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. I do not plan to shop here again. They should ensure all products are complete before sending them to customers. Definitely not worth the price.

Chair's metal legs broke off while…

Chair's metal legs broke off while sitting on it, nearly killed a baby.

Other chairs of the same set show the same weak point and will likely break too. Only normal use.

Avoid at all costs, dangerous low quality products.
