I’m not new to poker - I’ve been playing for years. However, I am new to online poker. The first few games I entered I struggled to understand why other players were getting so upset with me when I chatted with them. I mean, at my friendly games with my mates, that’s our usual – play a bit, laugh a bit, chat a bit. Then I noticed that my site – ZyngaPlusPoker – has a page on Poker Etiquette which tells you all about how to behave at the online poker table and what you should and shouldn’t do. And there it was at the top of the list – don’t chat. I never realized that online was different from my regular poker games, and that every word I was saying was possibly providing valuable information about me and my game play to my opponents. Since then I’ve learned what’s expected when I sit at an online table, and my game is flourishing.
