My 18 month old female dog has congenital CKD. Treatment is through diet. This insurance company will not consider even partial payment to dietary specialist. She is formulating appropriate diet using diagnostic results. ONLY TREATMENT IS DIET. She is not eating well and is slowly losing weight. They will pay for endless antibiotics, but will not help with dietary treatment that could help end the countless repetitive infections that are always a precursor to more antibiotics. Antibiotics that they cover to the tune of 90%. Short sighted.
