This was not a late delivery - COMPLETE FAILURE

This was not a late delivery. This was a complete operational breakdown.

We ordered critical welding gas online for our robotic welding cells. Without shielding gas, production cannot run. This was a confirmed delivery and our entire manufacturing schedule was structured around it.

The delivery never arrived.

No phone call.
No warning.
No update.

We had six members of staff on site ready to run production — and they stood idle all day because the gas did not arrive.

At 4pm, after losing an entire production day, we contacted BOC ourselves. Only then were we told the driver had loaded the wrong gas.

So BOC knew the wrong product was on the vehicle — yet no one thought it necessary to inform a customer whose operation depends on that supply.

This resulted in:

• Six staff paid for a non-productive day
• Robotic welding cells offline
• Missed output
• Disruption to customer delivery schedules
• Direct and measurable financial loss

Mistakes happen. Failing to communicate them does not.

For a company supplying critical industrial gases to manufacturers, this level of operational negligence and indifference is staggering.

We now expect a formal explanation, acknowledgment of the financial impact, and meaningful compensation for the loss caused.

Manufacturing runs on reliability. On this occasion, BOC failed completely.

Unacceptable.
