Exploitative and disgraceful

Firstly, Boiler Juice’s (BJ) pricing did not reflect the actual upturn in international oil pricing as a consequence of the war in the Middle East. Instead, it appears to have been a wholly exploitative, self enriching, opportunistic price. I paid £1.40 per litre, up from around £0.58 per litre three months ago. Moreover, BJ refused to sell leas than 500 liters. Further exploitation of its customer base.

To add insult to injury, they turned up (admittedly several days early) unannounced, just expecting g the customer to be there. Perhaps greater efficiency would see a reduction of costs.

We are stuck with heating oil for now, but as soon as we can get rid of it, get rid of BJ, and move on, all the better.

A very poor service from a very ruthless organisation.

UPDATE: I note BoilerJuice’s response below. It answer nothing and seeks to ignore the facts. I happen to run an energy company and follow the facts very closely. BJ’s pricing does nothing of the sort.

We are extremely sorry your experience has led to a poor review of our service on this occasion, with the ongoing situation in the Middle East, we are experiencing market changes outside of normal patterns.

Oil markets have been very unpredictable and prices are changing constantly; this has caused a temporarily inflated wholesale cost of heating oil which is now reflected in consumer pricing. We expect this to be temporary while the industry waits for commodity prices to settle.

Once again, we are deeply sorry that you had a poor experience this time and hope we can be of service in the future.

Driver was late and did not seem to care

Driver was late, made no attempt to contact me, did not offer anything by way of explanation.

Once he had finally collected me his driving was extremely poor, demonstrating a lack of confidence on the roads resulting in highly irregular acceleration and deceleration, making it a very uncomfortable journey.

Exceedingly good cocktails

These are very well mixed, neatly packaged, quickly delivered and exceedingly good cocktails (I stole that from an old advert) - offering extensive choice. It would be easy to assume that packaged cocktails like this would be second rate; they really are not. Serve them correctly - bit of ice etc, and they are spot on. Make sure you spend a bit of time squeezing the package to get the full contents though. Air-pockets can hold a bit of the good stuff, and you really do not want to miss any of that. Finally, do not get put off by price. A pack of 9 is about £4.50 a cocktail. I would take that every day, to sit in my garden and enjoy.

Very much worth it

Exceptional kit. Extensive range. Expensive, but…..we happily pay a fortune for top, well known brands. The difference here is that this kit is a top brand, well thought through and well made. It’s worth every penny.

Backed up by an exceptional web site, great images, precise and clear supporting information, and the type of communication throughout the buying experience that so many companies have abandoned.

Excellent boat and a fabulous all round experience. Antonio made it even better with his clear instructions on safety and accessing the dock. His punctuality was an added bonus. I would definitely book this again.

Ordered 6 new glasses, received 3 dirty ones instead

Ordered 6 x glasses. Took a long time to arrive. When they did there were only 3 x glasses in a battered old box, and the glasses - although somehow intact - were dirty.

I have emailed this shower twice and had no reply. Avoid them like the plague.

We are very sorry that you only received 3 glasses and that they were dirty, please accept our apologies. I can see that my colleague did respond to your email yesterday at 11:31am to apologise and also send the missing items to you. Unfortunately our stock does spend the majority of its time in a warehouse before dispatch, also the shredded cardboard used to pack the items contribute to them arriving dusty. We would always recommend washing any items thoroughly before use due to the way they are stored.

Exemplary Service

I tend not to write reviews, but in this case felt that excellence, that is often so absent in the service industry today, deserved appropriate recognition. After a great deal of searching for the right product, Sportsbikeshop had it immediately available (unlike many competitors) and handled my order quickly and efficiently. Not only did they deliver for free, they kept me reliably informed throughout the process. Buying on line can be hit or miss, and often frustrating, but the level of service and support offered by Sportsbikeshop took the risk firmly out of the equation. I will definitely be using them again.
