Again driver left parcel in my safe space.Thank you.
We were at home and obviously he didn't have time to ring the bell, but that's fine, the parcel was left safe and dry. So these last 2 deliveries were spot on.

An all round great experience.

I bought a very expensive down Rab coat/jacket which I found was the best black Friday reduced price at BCH camping. It arrived promptly and is exactly what was expected. My first purchase from BCH, but I shall certainly check them out in the future for anything relevant. An all round great experience.

As always Claire went above and beyond…

As always Claire went above and beyond to sort out the details of my holiday, I am quite fussy and usually know exactly what I want and she works hard to accommodate my needs. All the office staff are always most welcoming and friendly. I could have booked this holiday myself on the internet, but prefer the personal interaction from Miles Morgan staff.

Great shoes easy to order

Great shoes, I almost always buy pavers as they are comfortable and still stylish.
Easy to organise click and collect, then you can try on the shoes in branch and return instantly for free if they do not suit/fit.

We worked extremely hard

We worked extremely hard, (my husband worked 60 or 90 hour weeks) all our lives to save what was left of our income after taxes to provide for us when we were too old or infirm to continue working. We invested in good faith in AEGON believing it to be an ethical and sound financial company. We now find that when we need to withdraw some of our savings to use before we are too old and disabled to do so, that we meet nothing but procrastination and obfuscation.

In February we made arrangements with our Financial Advisor who forwarded this request to AEGON in early March. We are still waiting for our money and every contact we have had with Aegon either by email or telephone simply says “we re too busy to complete your request" or subsequently "we are too busy to deal with your complaint". Do you honestly think that 5 months is a suitable time for a withdrawal to be processed or a complaint to be dealt with.

AEGON needs to improve its services and accelerate it's procedures along with escalating this complaint.

Abysmal treatment of customers

Sent a request to reassign a bond and a withdrawal on 18 March. Followed up by email on 2 April and received an automatic generalised response. Telephoned on 7 April and 8 May but was unable to get any timescale at all for my withdrawal. Sent complaints on 13 May and 20 May, neither of which was even acknowledged. I was so anxious that I checked whether indeed the company was still trading.

Great pillows

Great pillows. Only got 3 stars because first delivery only contained 1 of 2 ordered and was delayed by DPD several times until an impossible time so I had to reschedule causing a further 3 day delay. However after phoning customer service the second was delivered promptly with charming and good service.

Always helpful staff

I wanted another pair of shoes I already have but in another colour which was not available in the shop in my size, so the staff kindly ordered them in and kept them until I was able to collect. Later that week I bought a completely different style as well. My experience is always good, with helpful friendly and efficient staff.

Usual friendly efficient welcome and service. My order was ready, but because an email I had sent regarding my discount voucher had been misplaced, they arranged to discount my order in the shop. I shall certainly be coming back for some items which I really want but will not be on sale till 30 October. I love Cook food I'd have more if there was room in my freezer.

Excellent pre travel service from Tara

We have used VJV before had had a wonderful time so have booked the Nile cruise including Aswan. We've not travelled yet, but I just wanted to praise the exceptional service we have received from Tara who went above and beyond in sorting out some specific requests when her colleagues had told me it was impossible previously. She is a credit to VJV.

Delivery arrived on time and as expected, the delivery guys were efficient, friendly and helpful.
We have not checked the package as we will not be opening it to erect our pagoda for a few months, but the packaging appears intact.

Be warned this is a luxury train but not a luxury journey

Day 1 from the Rovos Rail station Cape Town we had a 3 hour bus journey (we'd been told 2 hours) to meet the train in a derelict station near an impoverished town. We were given canned soft drinks and snacks. Boarded the train and then had 2 days with superb food and excellent service, although the scenery is almost the same for the whole journey having missed the winelands due to bus, although a few animals were spotted with long lens cameras. None of our group of 23 slept on the final night due to screeching wheels and constant sudden stops (10) as though the train had hit something.
Day 4 we were delayed for 3 hours disembarking constant long stops as for whole journey, sadly all of our group who had eaten the scallops had severe food poisoning as well, then disembarked in a siding and had to climb down onto and over the tracks with our luggage to waiting bus. Although the staff were very helpful. Followed by a 2 hour bus journey to the Rovos Rail station in Pretoria.
Be warned this is a luxury train, but not a luxury journey and our experience is far from unique, a friend made the same journey with Titan on Rovos last October and had a very similar experience.
We certainly did not 'get what we paid for' Rovos is full of excuses but until they have sorted out their problems they must be more honest with their customers about the experience and charge accordingly.

We do apologise for the bus transfers on this journey, we were indeed affected by Mother Nature herself due to a level-9 storm hitting the Western Cape. I have read through your comment sheet and thank you too for your kind words regarding the “enormous efforts that must have been made to enable us to travel.” Indeed, logistical somersaults were being performed behind-the-scenes to get the train moving, thank you for your gracious observation.

On the final day, once we arrived at Kookrus for disembarkation, we realised that one of our transfers had not arrived despite it being confirmed earlier during the morning. Unfortunately, we had no other choice but to group passengers together to ensure all arrive safely at their destination.

We are of course disappointed and sincerely wish to apologise for the disruption and for any inconvenience caused. We hope we can welcome you on board again one day so that we can redeem ourselves.

Lands End did a great job rectifying Evri incompetence

Evri completely failed to deliver my parcel, but Lands End refunded my postage and dispatched a replacement Royal mail. Sadly even this arrived too late for the event, and did not suit me anyway, but fully refunded. Then surprise surprise, the original order arrived via Evri 14 days after they had falsely confirmed delivery. Lands End did a great job in dealing with the problem, but I wish they didn't use Evri always an incompetent courier.

Thank goodness for LINDA.

LINDA.
Gave me the correct advice and sorted out all my problems. She is charming and efficient and knows her job. I have been trying to get meters removed from my property since 27 July with many aborted phone calls and emails to the complaints department. She undertook stage 1 on 13/9 and by chance she was there when I called on 14/9 and she arranged stage 2. All other customer service/complaints staff from Scottish Power have been appalling. I suggest that Linda is used to train all their operatives so that they understand customer service. Or else ask Octopus who did the same job for me without any problems.
