Good Value For Money But Poor After Sales Service

I recently bought a petrol chainsaw and you will struggle to get better value for money anywhere. The delivery by DPD was first class and the product arrived within two days of ordering.
What let’s this company down is it’s after sales service. I already have a Parkerbrand chainsaw which requires a replacement recoil starter. To save on postage costs I wanted to order it at the same time but alas it is out of stock. When I telephoned their sales was advised that the part wouldn’t be restocked for another 3-4 weeks. This is the third time in two years that I have tried to order a replacement part only to be told it is out of stock.

I recently transferred an ISA from another provider to Shawbrook and the process couldn’t have been simpler. Instructions were easy to understand and communication at each step of the process was excellent the transaction was completed well within the projected timescale.

Beware Of The Service Charge

We have used Itison on many occasions over the years and their customer service is excellent.

Recently they have introduced a service charge which I am not in favour of. Supplements of any kind, if necessary, should be included in the cost of the offer.

Five Star Customer Service

We have a perfectly good suitcase but unfortunately two of the wheels were worn and would not rotate properly.

On checking the iT website there was a link to follow for ordering replacement castors and the process was simple and straightforward. At the time of placing the order the castors were in transit from their factory in China but throughout the process I was kept fully informed of progress.

A very smooth transaction and great service from the iT team. Thank you.

Simplicity of Booking and Use

The process from making the booking to exiting the car park is simple and very straight forward with easy to follow guidelines.

We have used FastPark on several occasions in recent years and it is so convenient for the terminal that we would only consider using an alternative car park should the price become uncompetitive.

Warranty Policy Is A Scam And In Need Of Review

After having a chainsaw for only 9 months with only moderate use the brake stopped working rendering the saw unsafe to use.
Customer service was very helpful but I was astounded to be advised that problems with the brake is considered as normal wear and tear and is not covered by the warranty. I even returned the brake assembly to the company at my own expense and despite the problem being a broken spring they still insisted it was normal wear and tear. The brake is only activated periodically for the purpose of testing.
I could have replaced the spring myself but was advised that I would have to purchase a whole new brake assembly at a cost of £20.
I fail to see how a broken spring after a period of only 9 months can be considered as wear and tear and would suggest that the company needs to take a serious look at its warranty policy.

Great Service and Competitive Prices

Due to a sudden and unexpected illness we had to cancel our 12 night European Explorer at short notice.
We discussed the options with Ewan who was professional and efficient in helping us rebook the same holiday for later in the year.
We have used Ramsays World Travel on a couple of occasions and their service is always first class and their prices are competitive.

A Shambles From Start To Finish

I placed an order online for 3 items which were to be delivered from their warehouse. In accordance with their “contract of sale” they should have been delivered the next day. When they hadn’t been delivered 48 hours later I contacted the company by chat line only to be informed that my order had been lost/stuck in the system and a new order would be raised.
Today (72 hours after I placed the order) I received 2 of the items but received a message from the carrier that the 3rd item had been delayed and it would be another day before it is delivered.
Toolstation state that an email will be sent when the items are despatched but at no point did I receive such notification.
All in all a totally shambolic transaction and abysmal customer service.

Super Efficient And Friendly Staff

We have taken advantage of Itison promotions for many years and the majority of time everything runs smoothly.

On the few occasions we have experienced a problem with either processing a voucher or making a booking with an establishment the staff at Itison have been easily contactable by either email or phone and the issue has been resolved promptly and efficiently.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Itison to potential purchasers.

Avoid this company…Abysmal Customer Service

The XYZ conditions state that a response to any enquiry will be made within 48 hours.

I enquired about a 2 day Chain Saw Course which they advertised on their website but after 3 days received no response so I emailed them again. After a further 9 days I still hadn’t received a response so phoned their office.

The assistant advised that the course is only run for a group and when I asked why they didn’t make me aware of this she became very abrupt and said “I’m telling you now”

Very Efficient Booking Service

We cruise on a regular basis using various companies and discovered Galaxy Cruises via a promotion in a daily newspaper.

There is always a degree of wariness when dealing with a different company especially one which is relatively new. However, my fears were totally unfounded and the booking process provided by Adam was quick and efficient. There were a couple of phone calls but most of the communication was done by email giving us time to consider the different options.

From noticing the promotion in the newspaper at 2.00pm the package was finalised and the deposit paid by 8.00pm. All documentation was emailed 2 hours later at 10.00pm.

An all round excellent service and at no point during the process did we feel pressurised. Many thanks Adam.

Great Company To Deal With

Website is easy to navigate and the booking process was simple and straightforward.

Having had used Viator in the past they are always punctual to pick you up and the guides have always been excellent.

On the one occasion we had to cancel our excursion due to unforeseen circumstances the cancellation process was simple and the money was quickly refunded to our account.

Always An Enjoyable Experience

The Itison website is easy to navigate and placing an order is simple and straightforward.

It is very seldom a problem is experienced with an order and, when it does happen, it is usually nothing to do with itison (eg a business unexpectedly closing down). On the very odd occasion I’ve had to contact Itison the staff have been extremely helpful and efficient and the problem has been promptly resolved.

Extravagant Overstay Charges

FastPark is a welcome addition to parking at Edinburgh Airport especially since transport is no longer provided to and from the Long Stay Car Park and Maple Meet and Greet no longer operate at Edinburgh.

The booking process was straight forward and instructions on the website for dropping your car off are simple and easy to understand.

Unfortunately for circumstances outwith our control our return was delayed by 24 hours and we advised Fast Park accordingly. When we eventually picked up the car we were charged an additional £15 for the additional days stay.

The original cost was approx £6/day and, whilst I accept that an additional cost should be chargeable, an uplift of 150% appears excessive.

Five Star Customer Service

I use Itison promotions on a regular basis. Their website is easy to navigate and the process for redeeming vouchers is straightforward.
Unfortunately I made an error when purchasing a recent voucher and missed a clause in the “small print” which stipulated that the voucher could not be used on a specific date. I contacted the Itison team to explain my error and the matter was resolved by Gillian within hours.

I submitted the same enquiry to 3 different Golf Tour Operators and Golfbreaks response was almost immediate and by far the quickest.

The advisor was knowledgeable and was able to provide answers to all my queries.

The booking was concluded within 24 hours of my initial enquiry and I would have no hesitation in recommending Golfbreaks to potential customers

Courteous Driver But Company Could Do Better

The package was delivered on the stated day but, unlike other carriers, no time of delivery was advised. As the package had to be signed for it meant that we had to stay in all day.

With all the modern technology available surely Tuffnells could instal a system to advise an approximate time of delivery. Even a morning or afternoon notification would be better than nothing at all.

Poor Customer Service

I ordered two curtain poles and the total order of the value was £124.

Delivery was quick but on receipt one of the poles was shorter than I’d ordered. I reported it immediately to the company but It was insinuated that I had cut the pole myself to the wrong length. Only after jumping through hoops and several emails later did they acknowledge that the wrong length had been despatched in the first instance and a replacement was sent.

It is a true saying that you can judge a company on how it handles a problem and Poles Direct fail miserably in this area. I would add however that on the plus side the quality of the product is excellent.
