Maine Coon Worthy

This is our third 3 Fat Cats purchase and they were eagerly waiting whilst we opened the box. We have two Maine Coons so anything needs to be big and durable and this hasn’t disappointed. It was in use instantly and there is more than enough room for them to curl up on top. No one has hopped inside yet but I’m sure it won’t be too long!

Second timer - will be cancelling

Well, this is my second chance with Hello Fresh.

Recipes are good and there is quite a wide variation. ‘Extras’ make some of the meals expensive and I’m afraid that after the discounted boxes I’ll be cancelling again as the ingredients (especially veg) are just really poor quality. Refunds for busy people who then have to go and shop to replace what should have been right in the first place just don’t do it for me.

Where do I begin!?

Where do I begin!?
We were bought a two night hotel stay as a gift. We booked the hotel in Carlisle for our wedding anniversary. I paid an extra £61 on top of the voucher for breakfast for both nights- it was advertised as a Best Western with a bar, restaurant and gym. Also bear in mind the hotel choices are VERY limited if you don’t want to pay a heap extra.

We arrived and asked to book for an evening meal at 8. Nope! We were told they don’t serve evening meals but there’s a pub down the road or a chip shop. Oh and it wasn’t a Best Western!! So for the first night of my wedding anniversary I was in a pub with 6 TV screens playing two different football matches. How romantic!
I’d already started a conversation with Buy A Gift by this point.
After being woken up for the umpteenth time at about 2am I decided to start looking for other hotels available. My husband joined me in this search at 4am when we accepted fate of not being able to sleep in the noisy hell hole.
I continued to update Buy A Gift with the goings on. George (the human behind the screen) was particularly sarcastic on one occasion stating that as the TVs in the pub were not part of the experience he couldn’t do anything about it. The thing is George, if the hotel had been described accurately in the listings and booking confirmation, I wouldn’t have booked it in the first place - I can spout sarcasm too.
Breakfast was equally underwhelming if not nauseating based on the presentation and awful coffee and we checked out - on the pastures new. I stated my complaints as we checked out and was contacted by the hotel the same afternoon stating that the hotel had refunded the corporate credit card of the third party booking agent for Buy A Gift. I contacted George again to state that the hotel had made contact with the third party so things should now be resolved but I was told I still had to wait until they had made contact. I seemed to be more effective in getting things moving than they did.
Anyway, I continued to chase, asked to speak to a manager then a lady (much more useful and professional than George) escalated it to a manager to get things moving.
Sadly for me, the next person in touch was George who clearly expected a fan fare when telling me that there had been a refund and they were going to uplift it to £100. Wow! So the hotel had refunded £72.81 and I’d also paid £61 on top of the original voucher cost. How does that make £100?
So I now get a voucher to spend taking a gamble on whether the experience will be total garbage again.
I’d have been happy for my £61 cash back and to have never set eyes on the company again.
I’m still currently awaiting details from George to tell me how I can escalate this to a manager and speak to one myself.

My advice? Book things yourself for the best possible outcome. Shop around and find bargains yourself; when you see what you end up with from Buy A Gift you’re probably being ripped off…. Especially if the information displayed in the first place is incorrect.

Good price but some issues

Whilst you can’t fault them on price, we did have some issues. Items are shipped from distributors all over the place so shipping price is actually really high if you order a lot of different products.
Coverage details do not match the manufacturer’s for the Corotiles we purchased and this led to us being short. When I called and mentioned this I was told that if I’d have called he’d have worked it out properly - I can work things out properly if I have actual dimensions!!
We had issues with shipping notifications
One of our follow up orders was ‘lost’
Again, the price difference between the web site and some other made it worthwhile, plus they did listen to my email and refunded me the discount I missed out on BUT they do need to make a few changes, not least shipping costs - £21 shipping for a roll of flashing is just ridiculous!

I’m not yet sure my parcels have reached their destinations so can’t fully say what I feel about the experience.

It’s very much now in the hands of not having a human error as I’ve not labelled the parcel myself.

What exceptional customer service!

What exceptional customer service!
We went into store today as my Cricut iron had stopped working. I had emailed customer services and they said to simply take it back for an exchange. That seemed way too easy but it really was that easy.
Dale, in the Lincoln store, told us to simply ask at the till and they would sort it. They didn’t have the exact same model but rectified the situation for me and I got my exchange.
All staff were incredibly friendly and went that extra mile.
The store, as always is filled with great products.
Thank you so much for a positive shopping experience.

Overall really impressed

This is a great service, really makes life much easier thank having to visit the pharmacy especially when you work long hours.
The only difficulty we seem to have is that many of my husbands medicines are not available when they are needed and there are sometimes waits where we have had to reverse the prescription and collect it from elsewhere.

Misleading website

Service in store was great but the web site was wrong.
The lock box I bought had a picture of a box with no keys - it had a combination lock instead. Perfect!
Not so! Combination lock boxes are not sold and the picture on the web site did not match the picture in the catalogue.

When finally sorted I’m happy with the…

When finally sorted I’m happy with the deal but it didn’t go without hiccups!

The first phone call, we negotiated a deal but then the line went dead and I wasn’t called back. The second time it all went through and I was sent the wrong colour.
Sending back was annoying, you have to send back Royal Mail special delivery for £7.65 and obviously wait for it all to process before the replacement is sent out- just under a week.
I have managed to get a postage refund (assuming it appears back in my bank) but trying to contact and get the right people to speak to is hard. If you’re transferred no one picks up so always ask for the direct number.
Finally sorted now and happy with the phone and deal but it could have been a better process.

Auto glass could not have made it any easier

Auto glass could not have made it any easier from start to finish. Booking online was simple. Sadly I needed a Saturday appointment as work do not allow screen replacements to be carried out in their car parks, therefore I had to wait a little longer. The technician was courteous, polite and well skilled. I’ve had no problems with my windscreen and the wipers are certainly better than the previous ones!
