Major outage after just 5 days

New connection installed just five days ago and already have a major outage.

Fine, I thought, issues happen. I'll just call support. Coming from Virgin, who everyone likes to complain about, I had a certain level of expectation for the service I would receive. This was absolutely not met - it was clear immediately that I was talking to someone that is just reading from a script. I notified the call handler that THEIR OWN STATUS PAGE indicates a DNS outage at the same time my internet connection went down. Totally ignored - I was just told to reset my router. I went through the status page info again, and again I was ignored.

I have been told that the issue has been escalated and that an engineer will be in touch. Nothing after 12 hours so I call again. I am told it could be up to two days before anyone can help me. Unacceptable.

It seems after reading the trust pilot reviews that I am screwed. Should have read them before switching, lesson learned!

I will keep this review up to date. If this issue isn't resolved in the next 24 hours I will be cancelling my direct debit and sticking with Virgin.

I was drawn in by the lower price of…

I was drawn in by the lower price of selling though Purple Bricks and if it had worked out I would have been a happy customer. However my property did not sell for after being on the market for 7.5 months with Purple Bricks - this I can live with, sometimes properties don't sell, but the service I had wasn't the best and as a result I have decided to move to a local high street agent.

The marketing that was put together for the property was extremely poor - the quality of the photos was awful and did not show the size of and scale of the property in it's true light. The description of the property was brief and did not touch on the positive aspects of the property.

I received one phone call from my assigned agent in the 8ish months the property was on the market. Apart from that no support was forthcoming apart from a text at Christmas to say the market was slow.

If the property had sold itself (like we hoped it would) all of the above would have been overlooked - but if you have a property that needs selling by someone that knows what they are talking about, can engage a potential buyer and show them the potential of a property - consider a traditional estate agent.
