Review of Cleaningwhizz

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The Worst Cleaning Company EVER!!

This is an honest review. I booked Cleaning Whizz for a deep clean of my 93yo Mom who unfortunately is in hospital. I choose CW because of the reviews & website which stated they’d been in business for many years & only used professional cleaners. It was booked for 10am Saturday for 4/4.5 hrs for £325, they arrived 11.20am (flat tyre). I was a bit dubious as the manager Vishnu arrived with 2 young foreign lads who didn’t speak very good English and didn’t even acknowledge me. They didn’t look as professional as the photos of the cleaners on their website but I was assured they were good at their job. Was also surprised as told it would take 6/6.5 hours. I left but went back after 6pm thinking they must be about finished. I was absolutely shocked when I walked in and looked worse than when we left it! This is a small bungalow, small lounge, kitchen, bathroom and 2 bedrooms (only requested the bedroom carpets to be hoovered and steamed, no further tidying of these rooms). Over 6.5 hours and they hadnt even started steaming the bedroom carpets! The bathroom was poorly cleaned, shower filthy, sink not cleaned properly. Wardrobe mirror badly smeared. All windows were cleaned but badly smeared as was the lounge mirror and cabinet doors. Cobwebs remained. Furniture wasn’t moved and swept under. Thick dust on tv stand. Small tables dirty. Kitchen floor looked worse. Kitchen table not cleaned. I could go on. I’m not sure what they were doing for over 6.5hrs but an experienced cleaner could have done the whole bungalow in half the time & what they had done wasnt to a professional standard. I wouldn’t even say it was basic. I took photos that were sent to the manager. When he came back I was upset & said I wasn’t paying for such shoddy workmanship but he said he wasn’t going until I paid. I threatened to call the police as I felt quite intimidated. Vishnu offered a reduced rate or he could get another cleaner, Donna, to come & do the job properly. Apparently Donna is very experienced but as I pointed out, so should all of this cleaners! I accepted that & Donna will be coming back on Monday but it’s not acceptable when a cleaner has to clean up after the cleaners?! Shocking. The boys hoovered and mopped before leaving but very basically. Worse still, as there was upset and time wasting I wasn’t able to visit my mom in hospital. This deep clean was to relieve some stress but it only added to it and more inconvenience with the cleaner having to come back. Please do not reply with excuses as you know I’m being truthful. I will update this review when the job I’m paying for has been done properly.
UPDATE
As above, Donna was booked for 10am to actually clean. She called me at 8.30am to say due to personal reasons she couldn’t make it until 1pm, which was fine. I went to my mom’s at 12.50 but she didn’t turn up. I rang numerous times with no answer & she finally rang me back at 2.15 to say she wouldn’t be coming that day but would come the following day. As this job was to be done before my mom was discharged from hospital I told her I wasn’t sure and would get back to her after I’d spoken to my sister. Whilst I had empathy for Donna’s circumstances, I was also fed up of the company by this time. I also was informed that my mom was being discharged the next day when we visited that afternoon so was too late to rebook Donna. I politely told her we wouldn’t be using Cleaning Whizz again & instead my sister & I spent a couple of hours cleaning as we had very little time. Donna said we still had to pay for the time the boys had done but I flat out refused because the cleaning was NOT done, not even to a basic standard, & we had to clean up after the cleaners! She said Vishnu, the manager, would be sending me an invoice, if that wasn’t paid he would add a late fee & if it still wasn’t paid then he would take me to the small claims court. I said that is fine, I’m not paying & would win in court with the photographic evidence I had of this company being far from the professional company it claimed to be.
The next day, Tuesday, Vishnu started ringing me early but I didn’t answer. I had left the same review on Google. Donna also rang me. Eventually I picked up to be told that Vishnu isn’t seeking payment after all, they had seen the review and would I consider removing it? I said no! Vishnu continued ringing me & I eventually answered. He was on the phone for 10 minutes saying how the review was affecting his business, he has had a cancellation and no further bookings since. He begged me to remove it & offered me £100 if I removed it first! I said I’d remove it after he’d paid me but he wouldn’t so no doubt trying to scam me! Countless texts and phone calls which was harassment. Then they responded to my G review with blatant lies and excuses, making out I was awkward & a liar! Terrible unethical company. Makes me question how genuine the G reviews are..

Review of Iceland Foods

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Bloody Iceland and their stupid crate…

Bloody Iceland and their stupid crate liners instead of bags. Whoever thought up this idea needs sacking! Nobody likes them, customers and delivery men alike. As soon as I take the liner off the delivery man and put it down, all my shopping falls out and rolls around the floor, sometimes things get damaged, but usually me as I can’t bend down without pain and I have to pick my sodding groceries up off the floor. Every. Single. Time!!!
I’ve complained to Iceland via phone and IM but was told the liner trial was a success! To whom??? The only person it actually benefits is the person who does the packing as they can throw everything into the crates, thus saving time. Delivery men don’t like them as you can’t even pick them up by the handles.
Been a loyal customer for a long time but going back to Asda or Tesco as can’t be doing with this every week. Nor do I want to spend my money nor give my loyalty to a company who has little regard for its customers……

5 stars for Iceland/ delivery etc

5 stars for Iceland/ delivery etc. I use every week and have nothing bad to say except for the absolutely useless bags!! They do away with normal carrier bags to save plastic, in favour of crate liners that the food falls out of as soon as you try to move it!! Every single time I’ve got food rolling about the floor and you cannot do anything with the bags afterwards! At least with normal carrier bags you can reuse or recycle, so the whole ‘saving plastic’ concept is completely lost as these end up straight in the bin! The delivery men are as frustrated as I am. As I have mobility issues, having to keep bending down to retrieve food is painful and tiresome. Not convenient at all and is making me question my shop choices.

Review of Evri Parcels

Would leave no stars if I could

Would leave no stars if I could! Been expecting a consignment of 4 items. I was told it was to be delivered today. Delivery man comes, doesn’t knock the door but heard him leaving a parcel inside the porch, which is fair enough. When I opened the box I realised that it only contained 1 item, and was only big enough for that item so there must be another box on the van that they haven’t bothered to check for.
Of course, the tracking shows that ALL have been delivered as there was only 1 tracking number for all items.
I immediately tried to contact customer service but I reckon I’d have a better chance of contacting Satan in hell! Everything is automated with only a limited range of questions, which were not relevant to me.
I wouldn’t have chosen this company because of their known incompetence, but it’s the one used by the online store I made my purchases from. Absolutely shocking, they just don’t seem to care.

Review of Aldi UK

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

What a Hassle!!

I placed an order for 5 items online, including 2 heavy items for the garden, in June. One item was a pre order for 1st July and would have a 3-5 day wait. I received several emails stating that my order was on track but didn’t receive any of the 5. I phoned customer services only to be told that they couldn’t find where my order was! It ‘should’ have been with the courier but the trail had gone cold. They promised to contact the courier and get back to me within 48 hours. 48 hours came and went so I phoned back again. Was told that they had had no reply so I was still in the dark. Then I received an email to say that some of my items had left the warehouse (although not what items) and I will get an email when to expect delivery. I received 1 of the 5 items a few days later on 9th July and a confirmation email from Hermes that delivery had taken place and showed a pic where it had been left.
I received another 2 items on 14th July so I checked online to see where the other 2 items were. It showed that they had been delivered on the 9th with the first item but the confirmation picture was also of the first item. I most certainly didn’t get them! I contacted Aldi again to be told that it looked as though those 2 items had been sent back to them, but could offer no explanation. If Hermes had delivered one item, why not the 3? They thought that perhaps they had been damaged but Hermes hadn’t informed me when they delivered the first parcel! By all accounts, if I hadn’t have checked online I would have still been waiting for them as it showed they had been delivered.
What peeved me the most is that Aldi had to offer me a refund as those items were no longer in stock. I said, as they have been sent back to your warehouse can’t you just send them back to me? Absolutely not, I was told! So I had to wait for the items to physically be delivered back to Aldis warehouse before they could issue a refund, which would then take up to 10 days to be refunded to my bank! It is now August and still no refund! Have just rang them up to be told there had been a ‘glitch’ in the system which meant when they received the goods back I hadn’t automatically been refunded. So they have done it manually today. BUT could take up to 10 days for it to reach my bank!! It’s a complete farce and a very frustrating and disappointing experience. If items are in stock when you pay for them then that’s what you should receive. I would think twice about purchasing again.

Review of Floors Direct

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Not A Good Experience……..

I sent for several samples as I am moving and need flooring for the whole house.
I had to pay £10 delivery which I didn’t mind, even though most companies offer free samples AND free delivery.
I waited several days and hadn’t received samples (Floors direct state on average a 2 day delivery time), so I rang to enquire.
I was told that all samples had been sent out and to wait a couple more days but to ring back if I hadn’t received them and they would send more out.
I waited a few more day but nothing turned up so phoned back again.
Was told they would definitely send out another lot of samples that day. I thanked them and waited. And waited. And waited!
Another 8 days went by so I rang again to say the first nor second lot had turned up.
Was asked to ring back on Monday as the sales team wasn’t in until them.
Rang on Monday to be told all samples had been previously sent out but they can’t do tracking as they send over 100 samples per day. They did say maybe the weight was too much so would send a third lot in two parcels and would do it straight away as I rang early.
Later that day I received an email stating that they had contacted Royal Mail to track the parcel (although earlier I was told they didn’t use tracking!!), that they were refunding my £10 postage for inconvenience caused and hopefully the samples would turn up soon.
I don’t believe they were ever sent out because Royal Mail wouldn’t have lost 2, potentially 3 parcels.
I’m glad I found out how insincere the company was before I made a large purchase. I’ll give my money to those companies who delivery what and when they say they will.

Review of E

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Changed from 1 to 5 Stars!

**I have changed my review from 1 to 5 stars after a very positive post feedback experience. Tracy from E phoned me after seeing my comments on here to apologise on behalf of the company. She is lovely and went above and beyond to make amends. So much so that in all probability I will change to E for both gas and electricity in my new house**
I only switched to e from a company I was happy with because I had a salesman on the doorstep offering a smart meter. This was appealing to me as having a disabled child in the house and prepay meters, sometimes it was difficult to get out to the shops to top up, particularly during winter.
I was also offered a £50 refund after being with the company for 12 months.
It’s now 11 months on and I still haven’t got my smart meter despite several phone calls!
The initial date for the engineer came and went with no show. I was told, AFTER I contact them, that it was because not enough people in my neighbourhood had made the switch, therefore they had no engineer in the area!!??? Basically it wasn’t worth their time to send someone out for just me and however many others had signed up.
That’s not MY fault! My contract was with them and when I signed up last August, I wasn’t told it was dependant on how many of my neighbours joined whether I actually got a smart meter or not! So I went through winter still having to get to the shops to top up even though that’s the main reason I switched in the first place!
I also applied, and got turned down, for the Warm Home Discount, which no other utility company has refused me before because of my severely disabled daughter. I was told it was on a first come, first served basis, although I applied early enough and wasn’t told this at the time, nor by any other company.
Now as it approaches 12 months and I should be receiving my £50 refund, I get an email to say ‘sorry you’re leaving’! What!?
A phone call later and I’m still none the wiser.
Apparently I have switched company for electricity BUT not gas? But I am still using e’s electric top up key? And I have not even thought of leaving as I wanted my £50! And it’s to a company who are known for being more expensive so I wouldn’t have gone with them anyway! E said they can make the switch back but would take 6 weeks, but as I’m due to move out soon, it not worth it.
Joining this company seems a lot of hassle for something that’s pretty straight forward.
They haven’t actually delivered on anything that they promised and for that reason, when I move house I won’t be switching back to them. I have lost my £50 refund anyway as you have to be with them for gas and electricity for 12 months and apparently I have switched my electricity, although I am still topping up through them!!
Going to go back to good old fashioned paying quarterly once and for all!!

Review of Trusted Psychics

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Fraudsters and tricksters!!

Ok, most people will say it’s our own fault for believing or wanting to believe that someone can use their ‘psychic ability’ to connect over the phone to give you a reading from spirit. But sometimes we go through something in life that’s so difficult that we need something to get us through. Some turn to drink, some drugs, I turned to Trusted Psychic. Foolishly!
I spoke to a number of ‘psychics’, some absolutely rubbish and some seemed spot on. I now realise how naive I was at the time and the problem I was encountering was the same as 98% of other callers so it was easy to ‘tune’ into me and my circumstances as most was in the same boat.
I spent over a year with the one ‘psychic’, PRECIOUS, who fed me a load of BS but I was clinging onto anything at the time. I came to think of her as a friend and she even gave me her personal number (mobile and landline) so I could have personal readings away from the constrictions, and the price, of the website. Of course, I still had to pay her but we agreed a price which was considerably less than the website charges but she was getting a better price as she didn’t have to pay the middle man. But we would also text each other, WhatsApp each other, and Snapchat. I had total confidence in her. I paid via bank transfer so knew her real name as AMY WILLIAMS. She would talk about me going to visit her in Rhyl where she lived. She even introduced me to another of her so called psychic friends, Juli, who also gave me a reading. This went on for over a year until the things she’d been predicting with such conviction, proved beyond a shadow of a doubt to be all lies. I was devastated! I couldn’t believe she’d conned me and I’d been a fool for so long. She eventually fell out with me because I refused to pay her friend the remainder of the reading balance as I said I’m not paying any more for lies and bs. She turned nasty and blocked me from contacting her. Up until then I would also occasionally use the site for other readers but from that point on I totally avoided it as I woke up to the deception. All in all, I’m ashamed to say, I spent many thousands of £s on Trusted Psychics and Amy Williams. It was money that I didn’t have and had to borrow to get me out of that mess.
If we were happy and content in life we wouldn’t be contacting these people! They know this and they prey on our vulnerabilities. In my case, I was suffering from depression and my mental instability clouded my judgement and rationale. That money would have been better spent paying to see a counsellor and trying to get myself in a better place!
The founders of Trusted Psychics and all similar sites do not care about people, only money. Anyone can join up to be a psychic, with very little scrutiny, just as long as they have the ability to make them money. It’s scandalous. People are pretty much desperate when they ring these people, I know I was. Reviews on the site are also false, only printing the positive, leaving out negative comments. That’s happened to me a lot. I did complain by emailing but was ignored so rang up and insisted they print my negative feedback, which they had to do as I was on the phone! That was the only time though. Avoid like the plague if you are in any way mentally out of sorts, heartbroken, damaged or grieving as it can prolong your recovery stage. Not to mention seriously damage your bank balance!

I have been ordering from Yours for the past 10 years or so. The only company I’ve found that have real clothes that fit larger ladies! The fit is usual true to size, good quality and order is at my door within a few days.
I’m always looking to see what new stock they have in and as I’m writing this I’ve got a top and leggings from yours on!
The only gripe I have is I wish some of the necklines were a little lower as a don’t like high neck v necks.

Great experience ChristmasTimeUK

I used this company for the first time this year and order several items. I received the next day! I was very impressed and so I placed a larger order. Again it was received next day. The decorations are lovely. In fact, the only decs I have on my tree are from here as have gone all white this year.
I cannot fault the experience I have had with them and I would definitely purchase from them again.
The only gripe I have is I think the delivery charge is excessive.

Frustrated!! Never Again!!!

Wish I had read these reviews before ordering. As it’s a large well known company I didn’t hesitate to order. I placed an order on 22nd November for some Xmas decorations. I was told they would be delivered by Friday 27th. Friday came and my order was still showing as processing and everything Id ordered was now out of stock so I rang customer services for advise. Seeing as so many customers have had trouble getting through I was prepared to wait......and wait I did! Nearly an hour to get through! CS looked into my account and said one item was out of stock and that was causing the hold up (what???), so he cancelled that, issued a refund and said it’s all ready to go and will get the order by the beginning of next week. I’m 5 days into next week now and my order is still showing as processing!!!!! Just rang up customer services again, another long wait, to be told it ‘should’ be sent out this evening. Or tomorrow! This is a large, nationwide company, I can’t believe they seem so disorganised! I can order off Amazon and receive next day delivery. I’ve had things off eBay next day or at the most a few days wait. Other companies seem to be operating within a reasonable timeframe. This is unacceptable. Can’t keep milking Covid!! If they know customers are waiting for a delivery on a particular day, a courtesy call or email to let us know our orders have been delayed would make all the difference to the reviews they’re getting now!
Never again would I order from this company.

Dreadful company!

Dreadful company!
A saw an ad which was offering thigh shapers for just the cost of postage. I know certain sites like WISH does this so I thought I’d take advantage.
I googled the company first to make sure they were legit and they seemed to be.
I entered my details for the coat of shipping, and only AFTER I’d paid did it pop up that as well as shipping I was being charged an extra $45 for a one off payment.
I logged into my bank immediately but the money had already been taken (or taken out of my account whilst it was pending).
I rang my bank up only to be told they couldn’t do anything until the payment had cleared.
I have sent a lengthy email to the company as it’s little more than fraud.
A confirmation email I received said the charge was for ‘exclusive membership’! What!??
There was absolutely nothing that mentioned membership, and if it had, I wouldn’t have touched it. I didn’t sign up for, check any boxes or agree to anything other than the postal charges. It didn’t show me the added payment until after I’d paid, funnily enough.
Bloody con, I’ll fight to get my money back, no matter what it takes.
