I purchased 2 heritage Oak 6ft benches…

I purchased 2 heritage Oak 6ft benches in March 2021 from Garden4less, which looked great on arrival. These benches have been outdoors positioned on a slate patio and had regular outdoor applications of wood oil over the 4 years.
However, over last winter I noticed that the plank edges on one of the benches were beginning to rot. I contacted the supplier, Garden4less and sent them photographs. I asked about the warrantee terms and was told 2 years. In the meantime I had a specialist gardener look at the bench. He informed me that the bark end had not been removed and hence the wood rot. I contacted Garden4less once more, and was advised to contact their supplier in the UK - called Innovators. The agent informed me that the oak used was sourced in Germany, shipped to the Far East - I think Tawain and then shipped via the Suez Canal to the UK.
Innovators requested bench photos showing wood rot. The person I spoke to said that they would consider the issue and get back to me. This did not happen, so I contacted Garden4less once more and they replied that there was nothing they could help me with since the 2 year warrantee had expired.
There are 3 main issues here:
1. Poor manufacturing processes were used i.e. bark ending which should have been removed.
2. The global foot print that astonished me. I thought that these benches were sourced and made in the UK.
3. No acknowledgement of design fault and poor customer service from Innovators.
Hence I would not recommend Garden4less and Innovators for thepurchase of Garden furniture.

Sorry we couldn't replace your bench, Jan, but as it was out of its 2year warranty, and you purchased it in 2021, we are unable to help.

VERY EASY TO ORDER

VERY EASY TO ORDER, BUT WANTED AN ORCHID AS A CHRISTMAS PRESENT BUT NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL JAN 5TH 2021 SO HAD TO SETTLE FOR AN ALTERNATIVE.

Tried to place order using website but…

Tried to place order using website but when it came to payment I got logged out. Spent ages waiting for someone to answer your telephone. Eventually got through and was told to reorder. I repeated my order and found that the price of the oven had increased by £10.00. Rang again and again had to wait for a response. Spoke to Kenny who said that he would arrange a refund to match price increase. What should have been a simple process took me about 5 times longer.
