I used Customer Services to register the Toaster

UPDATE: This Review has now moved up to 5 stars: re the registration problem mentioned below. Annabeth at Bosch Customer Services UK, has now done a manual registration for me from her end. I am very grateful to Annabeth for her help. I now have my 2 years Guarantee.

(I raised the issue through the on-line contact form for Bosch UK.)

Purchased a Toaster just before Christmas. I have made sure it is working and I now want to register it for the 2-year guarantee.

But the procedure for doing this is awful. (The UK link did not even work anyway, so I had to try and get in through Belgium).

I do NOT have a Smart Phone. I do NOT want to sign up for this...which supposedly allows me lots of extra benefits I do NOT need, from several manufacturers, whose appliances I do NOT even have! ............

Chester: excellent

We had an excellent visit to the Chester Store on our Xmas break. (Such a pleasure, as we have no local stores any more near our town.)

There was a good selection of current styles available there.

Kate, the Manager and Louisa were so friendly and helpful and we both bought items.

What a stunning new Country Rose cardigan

Wool Blend Fairisle Yoke Zip Up Cardigan

This new Country Rose cardigan in Cream/Very dark Grey or Black is wonderful. Great quality and lovely Scandi design.

(It is so nice to get something different from the Blue blends.)

I am a 14-16 and the Medium fits perfectly, with a bit of room to spare for Winter layering. It does not cling on the hips and is not fitted into the waist.

Also: excellent speedy delivery from Evri.

Thanks EWM. I LOVE this item.

Don't bother to get an ISA with them if you do not do on-line banking!

Totally awful experience with their ISA.

They do not offer a rollover at the end of the maturity period, so they just plonk it into a low rate cash ISA. Then when you do want to do something with it, their process is just so dreadful, it is practically impossible to do anything with it.

You are treated as if you are a new customer. You cannot even do anything in a branch to get the new ISA set up...quote.... "as none of the staff in branches are trained on Savings"!

Today just finished me off. I telephoned them to put the matured 10k into a new ISA fixed for a year, only to be told that their Savings team has had so many applications, they have had to close it down. So I could not do it.

I venture to suggest that.....(if we believe that they are indeed so busy)......then that might be because all the exisiting ISA customers who are not on-line have had to start all over again, as if they were new customers, when their ISA matures and that swamps their Savings team.

An utter UTTER shambles for such a longstanding bank.

Conclusion: they do not need our money as older people and they do not want customers who are not on-line banking either.

So awful, that I just decided to close the Cash ISA down and call it a day. Pulled it out as Cash. (In my case, a Transfer out into another Provider's ISA had also not been possible.)

I shall "NEVER darken the NatWest ISA door" ever again!

WONDERFUL Green/White Fleece Jacket 2148648

I just ordered this Country Rose fleece in the Sale.

It is absolutely wonderful. Such good quality and nice and warm with the Sherpa Lining. Very soft exterior too.

I am size 14/16 and have been buying the Country Rose cardigans in a Medium.

For this Fleece I took a risk and sized up to a Large. So I can layer it over cardigans etc.

It is absolutely perfect. And note that it is NOT fitted around the waist. (Fitted waist can often be very annoying when layering.) Also, it covers up my rear! (I am 5 feet 6.)

The Evri delivery was as usual excellent and speedy.

SUPER-happy with this purchase.

Lovely healthy red Basil plants

First time purchase of red Basil plants and Oregano.

Such strong healthy plants. The basil smells divine!


Two tips:

These are living things, so after you make an order, check the website for where they have got to with their deliveries. This will give you an idea of when they will come.

Also, the little balls in the compost are hard-shelled slow release fertiliser. (Not snails eggs!)

Awful stressful experience

Awful stressful experience.

For 10 days I have been tracking a package sent from UK to Belgium.

And for 9 days, the address shown in the Belgian Post tracking was the correct destination address. I have all the screenshots.

Now they have suddenly changed the address on their system from BALstraat to BALIEstraat.

It has cost me over 50 pounds to send this package. I am terribly worried the package will not arrive safely now.

EDIT: The package has now safely arrived after 13 days. But not before they had tried to deliver it to that wrong address.

(I contacted the chat-function. A helpful person called Jonas said he would send an e-mail about the address problem. Thank you very much Jonas, if what you did, enabled the package to eventually arrive.)

Warehouse issues: only one item in my bag

UPDATE TO REVIEW SHOWN AT THE BOTTOM:

There were in fact 2 different tracking numbers generated and two different packages with one pair in each, but I could only ever see one tracking number on my Account. (The one which did arrive first was a tracking number that had never been shown in my account!)

It looked like the 2nd pair was not coming, so they issued a refund. Now the 2nd pair has actually arrived. So Customer Services is going to ring me back to take the payment again!

Very confusing for me as a customer and caused me a lot of effort to sort out. Some warehouse system problem happened, I think?

Very disappointed with JL on-line ordering. A shambles!

Ordered 2 pairs of trousers on Saturday 27 April at 0036. (Both exactly the same.)

Same day at 01.38 I get an e-mail saying one item is out of stock. When I went into my account, it said that one item in the warehouse was damaged. Thus it could not be sent and they would send another replacement if they could find one.

So at this stage, one pair of trousers was due to be still sent out today Monday 29th.

Today Monday 29th.... I looked back into my account and it showed BOTH pairs as now coming out in the same delivery package. So I presumed they had located another pair.

I went to the One Stop shop to collect and.... yes you guessed it.... the bag only contains ONE pair of trousers.

Thank Heaven I was collecting at the One Stop shop, so I was able to get a confirmation that there was only ONE pair of trousers in the bag. (If this had come to my home, I would have had no proof!)

I have paid for both. My account shows two pairs as delivered. BUT I have only received one pair.

Herman at Customer Services in Capetown says I must now wait 24 hours for them to do a trace.

I shall be very VERY upset if they cannot locate this other pair of trousers and the only pair left on the website gets sold out tomorrow. (Even more annoying because this is one of the few things that has ever fitted me!)

In short, this is a complete shambles. I feel like something is not right at the JL warehouse.

Very happy indeed with my delivery

My book was sent via Ebay, UPSP, DHL. Wun Express. Finally Royal Mail.

From USA to UK.

This was really fine for me.

Once it was scanned and went into the sack/container at Melrose Park, Illinois, the tracking then goes silent for 11 days.

(Presumably it is on an aircraft and going via European hubs, before it is scanned again).

Then suddenly it pops up again when it arrives at the London Airport.

This is actually an amazing logistical operation.

E-bay tracking was good and so were all the given tracking sites, for the interim stages before and after the silent period. Took 2 weeks in total. And in a wonderful condition, too - no damage to package at all.

Always excellent service

From the point I rang up about my old bond that was maturing. (I think the kind and helpful initial advisor was Angel.) Through to actioning the three things I had asked to be done. Everything went absolutely perfectly:

a. Open up ISA with most of the old bond funds
b. Leave small surplus in old account as instant access
c. Put an extra deposit by cheque into the ISA.

I have been with Leeds for quite a few years, now. They are always excellent, both by post and by telephone.

BEWARE: Their Mediums are now Small!

Have purchased in previous years and never had a problem with their Medium size. Plenty of room and Easy fit.

But ordered the Medium Forest Fairisle cardigan this time and it is barely a Small size! Especially on the hips. And it is also very short.

Decided to check out their sizing and it now says that the M is only Size 12 to 14. (Not 14 to 16 which I am used to).

Incredibly disappointing, as the design is lovely.

Wonderful service, fantastic new season fairisle pink cardigan

New season: pink fairisle cardigan, Country Rose.

Lovely excellent quality item. In the usual style and weight of the winter range. (So not thin.) Lovely pink and burgundy colours on an oatmeal shade (cream/beige) background.

Also it is wonderful that it is not fitted on the waist and hips, so we have room in winter for layers.

100% happy with this.

DATA BREACH WORRY NOW. HMPO process is BAD once printed.

UPDATE on case below. It finally turned up through my door on August 21st, 19 days after printing/ sending to Courier. No reasons given as to what went wrong and exactly where it had been after August 2nd.


HMPO:Terrible process: Data breach worry. So stressed. Just feel like crying!

3 When I looked at my tracking number, there was a picture of somebody else's door and a package that was delivered at 2 o clock in the morning on JULY 27th, 2023. HOW CAN THAT EVEN BE? MY PASSPORT WAS NOT EVEN PRINTED UNTIL AUGUST 2ND!!

4 Countless phone calls and e-mails from me since August 2nd to HMPO and TNT.... that this had gone seriously wrong and could be a drugs or passport fraud issue. HMPO refusing to act until they heard from TNT. TNT not responding to any e-mails at all.

5 Only after I became really stressed and upset on August 8th, did someone at HMPO have the GUMPTION to escalate this case to a Customer Service Manager at this Company Teleperformance. Now TNT has said to me HMPO must have put it in a wrong envelope. And HMPO is blaming TNT for the issue.

6. It is now with the Delivery Investigations Team at HMPO, since August 9th and I STILL have not had any information as to what has happened. The tracking says "something" went back to the "Delivery Centre" on August 8th, but that could just be a dummy entry to close the tracking number out?? (I am doubtful it was my passport??)

I am in a big queue at Delivery Investigations. HMPO told me they deal with cases in date order of request, so still nobody has focused on the fact that this is potentially not just a regular wrong delivery. NOTHING EVEN ADDS UP AT ALL WITH THE DATES. COULD FRAUD BE GOING ON AT ONE OF THE MANY COMPANIES INVOLVED IN THIS PROCESS??

We could have Passport Fraud going on here at one of the Companies involved with my passport and a serious Data Breach has definitely happened to me.

What is worse, I think they are all just going to sit on this. I suspect they will not tell me the truth of what has happened. And because they warn us our passport can take 10 weeks, they are not going to be in any particular hurry.

WE ARE NOW 15 DAYS INTO A DATA BREACH, WHERE PASSPORT FRAUD MAY HAVE OCCURRED. I HAVE NOT BEEN TOLD WHAT HAS HAPPENED AND WHERE MY NEW PASSPORT HAS BEEN. AND WHERE IT IS NOW.

UTTERLY SHOCKING STATE OF AFFAIRS.

PS ADVICE: Keep immediate SCREENSHOTS of all your Tracking updates. As soon as you are in it. That picture of the mystery door, has now disappeared off my tracking number..... but I already have a copy of it.

PASSPORT COURIER PROCESS IS WORRYINGLY DEFICIENT

But the delivery process is very poor.

I stay in all day on August 2nd.

I look at the tracking number details again. I can see my address, but I can see something else, too, which is very worrying. Another package was on the tracking number which is not mine.......

AND THE ATTACHED PHOTO IS NOT MY DOOR. How do I know someone is not couriering illicit stuff which they should not be, using my address???

I have called TNT twice about this. All that is happening now is that the delivery day keeps being pushed back a day at a time. So now its delivery date says 8 August 2023.

This is so depressing and worrying, as you feel you dare not leave the house. And I am very worried mine is all mixed up with that earlier mystery delivery.

Not impressed at all.

PS Royal Mail: old passport came back safely 3 days ago! Tracked 24 hour.

I stay in all day on August 2nd.

I look at the tracking number details again. I can see my address, but I can see something else, too, which is very worrying. Another package was on the tracking number which is NOT mine.......

Lovely product, great on-line shopping experience

I was out with my sister in her car. I purchased some very pretty butterflies stoneware mugs in an outlet. Very nice quality, too.

Later I decided I should have bought 6 mugs instead of 4. But the outlet is not close to my home and I do not have a car. So I went on-line to order.

The delivery has been super-fast, by Royal Mail. And the items were beautifully and safely packed in recyclable material.
