Mixed Feelings

Mixed feelings from me.
When I needed help, they were very ok, attending twice within two hours, and transporting me and my car home.

I did however have to pay £25 up front as my car is quite elderly.

By mistake I didn't cancel auto-renewal, tried to call them on renewal date. It was the weekend, so had to wait until the Monday. My mistake cost me another £25 (refund less admin fee).

I'm with RAC now through car insurance (it was cheaper too), and shan't return to Autoaid.

Overall view

Overall, a solid four stars from someone who pops in for a coffee most mornings, either with or without food.

Food (quality of cooking) can be variable sometimes, but overall nothing much to complain about.

Lost a star for the occasional wrong item, or food not hot enough.

WiFi has been playing up lately, and the changed recipe vegetarian sausages are my two main negatives.

Please bring back the shakshuka.

‘Irresponsible and unprofessional’

‘Irresponsible and unprofessional’ are amongst the politest words I would use to describe this company.

Marketing and taking money for goods (Mountjaro) that they don't have, and bearing in mind the forthcoming price rises, likely never will.

Once the supply problem is clear - the solution according to YM seems to be “let's not engage with our customers, in fact we’ll just turn off the phones”. At least the poor lady (Maddie?) who had to deal with grumpy and worse customers will get a break. The only time I spoke to her, she did do what she said, and I got my order a couple of days later. Thanks Maddie 🙂

This time (repeat maintenance dose of 5mg, so not difficult and all documentation already supplied to YM), nothing except silence for two weeks. What's to review, my BMI is still way above what it should be, and my other meds haven't changed. Delaying my dose however will (or should) mean that I need a smaller dose again. Where’s your pharmaceutical responsibility, YM, when folks get enhanced side effects due to actions outside their control?

This morning, I tried to call again at 0900.
I was number 6 in the queue. A full 30 minutes later, I was still number 6, so I hung up. I immediately rang back to receive the "phones are down" message, so it's clear that this company wants to avoid all customer contact.

Edit - upgraded to two stars because on the news this morning that the manufacturer is withholding supplies until after September 1st, so that THEY can charge UK pharmacies more. So not entirely YM fault, although they clearly need to improve how they operate.

Review of Nectar

£500 points that I can't use

The couple of times that I've tried to spend any points in-store, I've failed, spending unlocked or not!

Customer Services? Off-shore based, and do their best, but don't really help much. This time, I can't even log into my Nectar account after resetting the password. The same email address that I'm sent a link on to reset my password is apparently incorrect when used on the logon screen. Work that one out.

Another call to CS resulted in my being told that my account has been disabled and I will hear from them once it's been sorted, and I was given an escalation number.

It's nice to have over £500 worth of points, but they're about as much use as a chocolate teapot if I can't spend them!

Edited from a three star to a two star rating, on the basis that having just contacted Nectar again for an update, been informed that I have to wait 15 working days for them to get back to me. Truly dire

Waste of time

Ring you back? They don't.
Ask the same questions several times, yes. But they still don't understand.
Repeat prescriptions the same - I've been waiting a week for somebody to press a button so I can collect a repeat prescription.
Good for the GP's I suppose, but not for their patients.

The number of one star reviews sums up whether the system is working or not

I've been with Halifax for over 20…

I've been with Halifax for over 20 years, but this is my first and hopefully my last customer service interaction with them.

Previous reviews describing the CS as abysmal, non-existent, and unhelpful, are not in my opinion too far short of the mark. Maybe the CS agent I had wasn't typical, or was maybe having an off day, but basically left me hanging and needing to deal with things myself.

The auto chat system itself worked fairly ok but the human aspect .....

Prescription ready in 40 minutes wasn't…

Prescription ready in 40 minutes wasn't done over 24 hours later (I still had to wait almost an hour). Whilst waiting, another customer said that they had been told hers would be ready 48 hours previously.

Used to be 5 stars, sadly lacking now.
2 stars is probably generous.

What a joke!

After many years, I finally decided to create a FB account, went through all the steps only to be informed that I've "violated their community standards" when I haven't even been able to log in, let alone post anything.

My message to FB therefore is "The second word is 'Off'. You can choose the first one yourself".

You don't even deserve one star in my opinion.

Best value I could find for an on-site…

Best value I could find for an on-site PCR test that was reasonably local to me.

Tested @ 1015 yesterday, lab confirmed receipt a few hours later, and result emailed to me less than 12 hours after taking the test.

Top marks from me - what's not to like?
