Warning: Do Not Accept Employment at DSV Amsterdam Westpoort
I was employed at DSV’s Amsterdam Westpoort facility through a staffing agency. Although the tasks themselves were simple and manageable, the working environment was unacceptable due to widespread sexual harassment and a complete failure of management and agency support.
I personally experienced stalking by a male colleague. Despite formally reporting the incident to both DSV’s HR department and my staffing agency, no effective action was taken. Female employees were routinely sexualized, objectified, and subjected to persistent unwanted advances. On multiple occasions, women who complained were advised by the agency to “cover up more” or adjust their clothing, rather than the perpetrators being disciplined or educated on professional boundaries.
The frequency of inappropriate comments, unsolicited requests for dates, and overt harassment was extreme; it occurred daily and created an environment where many women, including myself, felt unsafe. Ultimately, I was forced to resign in order to protect my well-being, as neither DSV nor the agency provided any meaningful support or intervention.
For these reasons, I strongly advise against accepting employment at DSV Amsterdam Westpoort, particularly for women.

The work environment at this location is highly toxic and unprofessional. The direct supervisor exhibits bullying behaviour, consistently dismisses input (even from more experienced colleagues), and shows clear favouritism. New ideas are routinely rejected out of hand.
Despite being marketed as a “family environment,” the atmosphere is dominated by fake politeness, persistent gossip, and backstabbing among colleagues. Personal likability appears to outweigh competence when it comes to growth opportunities or recognition; objective performance and expertise are largely irrelevant.
Career development is effectively non-existent unless you are in the supervisor’s small circle of preferred individuals. For the vast majority, this is a dead-end workplace where merit plays little to no role.
Recommendation: Avoid applying or accepting an offer here. There are significantly healthier and more professional logistics employers in the Amsterdam area.

DANISH CROWN HAARLEM (Netherlands).
I will never fully recover from my time at that workplace. It was, without exaggeration, the worst professional environment I have ever encountered.
The vast majority of employees (approximately 95%) were Polish temporary workers who did not speak either English or Dutch. Communication was nearly impossible. When conflicts arose, many of them would shout at colleagues in Polish, leaving those who didn’t understand the language completely defenceless and unable to respond or protect themselves.
The atmosphere was extremely hostile and aggressive. I personally witnessed and experienced repeated verbal abuse, as well as physical aggression. On one occasion, a colleague was deliberately pushed down the stairs in what appeared to be a racially motivated attack (the victim was Black). Police were called to the building at least four times a week during my time there.
Working conditions were inhumane. The temperature in the regular departments was around 5 °C, in other sections approximately 3 °C, and in the freezer it reached −35 °C. In the expedition department, where I was placed, no proper training or instructions were provided. I was expected to figure out complex processes entirely on my own, under constant pressure and in freezing conditions.
Through the agency, many workers (though not myself) were forced to work seven days a week, often on double shifts of up to 18 hours a day. The combination of extreme cold, aggression, isolation due to the language barrier, and lack of support pushed me to the brink of burnout. In the end, I felt I had no choice but to leave as quickly as possible.
I strongly advise anyone considering a job there to stay away. That place is not merely difficult—it is dangerous for both physical and mental health.

I strongly advise against working at this company under any circumstances. During my brief employment of just a few months, I experienced severe and sustained workplace mobbing and bullying that created a profoundly toxic and hostile environment in both the office and warehouse areas.
Management, supervisors, and team leaders were the primary source of the problem. They not only failed to address the bullying but also actively protected the perpetrators. When I repeatedly sought help and reported the harassment, no meaningful action was taken; instead, the situation escalated and retaliation followed.
The atmosphere felt oppressive and prison-like, with constant stress, humiliation, and psychological pressure. The impact on my mental health has been severe—I am now under the care of a psychologist to address the anxiety, depression, and trauma caused by this experience.
This is not an isolated incident but a deeply entrenched cultural issue enabled and tolerated by leadership. For the sake of your well-being and mental health, please avoid employment here at all costs.

In the begin was sound nice, i talk with a spycologist then i talk with someone else and since then i recivereing almost no contact with them, they are very slow, i understand they short on staff and there is many people with mental issue, but it would be nice if they say something like we cant take you at the moment so is better if you found something else, instead i have to waiting for their answer for what? What I am afraid of is that I will not get real help here because they don't have enough time for new patients.... I hope I am wrong.
