Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 655 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Customers frequently pointed out that items, particularly fragile collectible boxes and physical games, arrived badly damaged due to inadequate protective packaging or rough courier handling. People also experienced severe frustrations with pre-orders failing to arrive on launch day, alongside receiving little assistance or communication from support when chasing their missing parcels. Some reviewers were genuinely happy with the surprisingly fast delivery times and efficient shipping services provided for regular orders. Many consumers additionally appreciated quickly receiving digital codes via email and finding good bargains on various tech products when transactions went smoothly.

Bit Premature for Survey Request

Well apart from the fact I am still waiting for my delivery I am not sure what I can comment on. Maybe you could ask for these surveys AFTER the products have actually arrived. Otherwise I shall continue to give you 1 star.

Cancelled my order without telling me

I pre-ordered Lego Boda Fett on July 4th. The product was realised on 1st of August 2026.

I saw the pending amount on my banking app, which they were taking. I waited one week after August 1st to email them to discuss my order. Nothing. 2 weeks have gone by now, with another email sent out. Still no order or email response.

Ive now checked my banking app for the amount meant to be taken. Its completely disappeared, meaning the money has not taken.

Though on my GAME account they say the order is ready to ship.

Very disappointing from a bug company!

No longer a premium UK company but a devious one

No longer a premium UK company but a devious one that sends clearly substandard second hand games/display games and claims to be NEW. Returns link does not work (shock) and want me to pay to send back games which they will reject refund as took the their 3rd party security sticker off to inspect the condition! One of the games came NEW with missing cover art, only worked out after removing from carboard slip. 4 out of 8 games actually worth keeping, shame that the high street giant has turned to THIS!

Be extremely careful when selecting Fraser+

I made an online purchase from GAME for £149.97 on 7 September 2025 using Fraser+.

I did not knowingly select a 36-month repayment plan, yet the purchase was placed on 36 instalments—the longest repayment option. This meant the balance would remain outstanding and potentially attract interest for far longer than I had intended.

Whatever the division of responsibility between GAME and Fraser+, the finance options presented during the GAME checkout process should be completely clear and should require customers to actively confirm the repayment period they have chosen.

I have raised the matter formally and will update this review once it has been properly investigated. In the meantime, I strongly advise anyone using Fraser+ through GAME to check the repayment term very carefully before completing their order.

I’m expecting a delivery today

I’m expecting a delivery today. Been informed it is expected to be delivered today but still yet to receive an email saying “out for delivery”. Just playing the waiting game. If it comes today I will be filled with joy and would be giving 5 stars

Release Date delays

Ordered Halo: Campaign Evolved for Xbox Series X on the 5th of July, with a release date of 28th of July you’d think there’s plenty of time for them to get my order processed and dispatched but oh boy am I wrong.. We’re now on the 5th of August, a week after release date and there is still no sign of my game and my order state on Game’s website is ‘ Received’. Not processed.. Not Dispatched.. ‘Received’.. a whole month after ordering a game.. You can’t get ahold of anyone, AI has taken over their customer service to clearly save money and it’s
like getting blood from a stone, you just go round in circles and it has no idea what’s going on.
The reason I ordered from Game is because I wanted a physical copy, you know, the thing that’s keeping this company in business (although I’m sure this place will be gone soon enough).
Do not order anything online and hope it turns up on release day.. you’re better off just going to a store like Argos in person and collecting.

Absolute breach of consumer rights

Absolute breach of consumer rights. Do not buy premium consoles here.Bought a PS5 Pro bundle, and the controller developed a mechanical hardware fault within two weeks. Took it back to the Workington branch well within the legal 30-day window under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.The store manager flatly refused to help, stated she "didn't care what the law was," and falsely claimed returns had nothing to do with them. She tried to force me to buy a second controller while pushing me to make a fake insurance claim with Domestic & General. D&G have since confirmed in writing that the manager wrongly turned me away.Shocking, aggressive customer service and zero respect for UK consumer law. Avoid this store and buy your consoles from Amazon, Currys, or Argos instead where statutory rights are actually respected. Paid via credit card so thankfully my bank is recovering the funds under Section 75. Disgusting way to treat a loyal customer and the store was Workington branch in sports direct
