We took the self guided bike tour Verona, Italy to Lake Garda. Overall we would not recommend this self guided tour to others. We loved the locations as places to visit and we were fine with the accommodations, our luggage arrived on time when transported and the bikes were very good. We did not care for the routes. The first day, we could not complete 2/3 of the route which sounded like the prettiest part on actual bike paths, along the river. The GPS took us through a construction zone that was not passable. The second day was a lot of road riding and large grade gravel. We found that cars were not very friendly on the road and it felt very unsafe. The third route was very nice when we were on the Cammino di Fede Solidarieta, however when your GPS brought us through Lazise we got lost and really struggled to get back on course, putting in an extra hour and miles just to find the Cammino di Fede again. We were able to finally get back on track using our own GPS on our iphone. Again that day, when routed through another town, we ran into construction and had to lift our bikes through a barricade. The final ride along Lake Garda to Garda was very pretty and while we enjoyed the view, it was very crowded with pedestrians. We decided to modify the MacAdventures plan that day by taking a ferry from Garda to Sirmione and biking back to Peschiera del Garda. I regret to state that we would not recommend this trip and won't be using MacAdventures again.
