Cancelled our booking
We pre booked an accessible van to get mum to an appointment and 5 minutes after the specified time they cancelled! Their customer service team were lovely to deal with but told me that rebooking is not a guarantee of a taxi being available. I will not be using them again!
Awful
Awful. Guy was mad because I didn't pay in cash, red flag, was mad because it was only a ten minute trip, and because he apparently wanted me to get my shopping out way quicker than possible. Then, shouted a bunch of abuse. Even though I paid just 1 min ago. Will never, ever get a taxi from Dandenong Plaza again. This dude had no reason to take the job, if he didn't want to, but he was the first guy in the line. Definitely worth waiting for an Uber driver who is not psychotic.
Got scammed
Got scammed, charged $38 for an 8km ride 10pm at night no traffic, 10 minute duration, should have known better after seeing ACA segment using the same scam tactics, lodged a complaint but because I didn't have cab details or ask for a paper receipt 13Cabs simply won't respond to the complaint anymore, Spotto has not replied to emails nor answered any of my calls (drops out after 30 minutes on hold) to retrieve receipt and track the driver, back to Uber for me, learnt my lesson giving Taxis and Spotto another try
Qld 13Cabs cannot be trusted
I booked a cab to take me to the hospital for a post op appointment I paid in the silver service app $53.30 upfront flat rate! I thought it was a bit expensive for an 8 klm journey, everything went smoothly until we got to the destination I went to get out but the driver had locked me in and demanded another $61.04!!! Over $100 for an 8klm journey! when I got home in a different cab service that only charged me $40 I called my banks to try to stop the transactions but they said it was too late and insisted I contact police which I did! I phoned police link who also confirmed the driver committed a crime and they insisted I file a police report in person at the station so I did that! The situation is still pending and all I ask is for the money to be refunded or I am going to be forced launch legal proceedings against the driver & silver service cabs! It’s so disappointing that a once wonderful service has been reduced to ripping people off as routine! The $53.30 has been returned to my account but the outstanding $61.04 has not! The driver is a criminal he broke the law and I’m entitled to compensatory damages I’m prepared to write the entire thing off as a glitch if the money is returned, but if it is not I will be following up with police and a legal team and visa investigations! Who will force the refund due to fraudulent billing by silver service cabs! The booking request number is: Request #13489369O

I did eventually get a partial refund, but only because i had to fight like a bulldog to get it back! Try uber! And always always insist the meter be turned on as soon as you get in a cab and never ever prepay on their taxi apps EVER! Its funny because as soon as i posted this grievance the network media did an expose on the cab industry across the country costing the cab company’s 10’s of millions in lost revenue!
CAB 13 not trustworthy at all.
So today was the third time over a few weeks that I waited in vain for the booked Taxi to arrive. I was tracking Sharma driving cab TX2301 on the app for 7 minutes waiting patiently in front of our office building, then suddenly a message comes up: "thank you for your patience while we find you a driver" As with the previous incidents I also got a text message stating the my booking request has been cancelled (no explanation as to why) and that I must confirm if I still need a cab?? The person that eventually picked me up then explained that my fare is small (short distance) and they "drop" you when a better fare comes along. Also apparently the drivers do not like the fixed fare either, especially if traffic is heavy as they do not make a lot on it. To top it I got a voice message from Cab 13 call center claiming that the first taxi was at my pick up point? I was outside for 7 minutes tracking the taxi on the app until it dropped the booking, did not see any Taxi, so I suspect they did the call to cover for each other. I have downloaded the UBER app and hope to have better luck with it going forward.

Unreliable almost missed flight
Booked day before for 4.45am Tallai to Robina station to catch Airtrain for international flight. No taxi arrived and had to walk 4km with luggage to avoid missing flight. Second time this happened. Do not rely on this company
Booked a cab
Booked a cab. Waited over 1hr and they never turned up. Rang to see what delay was and had no option to talk to anyone. Only options cancel , edit booking, make new booking. As none of options were right I did not select. They then disconnected call it is a shame that a short trip is not considered worth their time. Rang Yellow cabs and had a driver in 6 min. Very poor service.

Cheating selfish driver left my family stranded
On 5 December 2024, at about 4:15am the driver arrived to collect my family members for a booking to the Airport.
The driver's name was Pardeep. He told me that in order for him to take my family to the airport as booked, I needed to cancel the booking and pay him cash for the ride. He said not to worry as the amount payable to him by cash would be the same amount that I had been quoted in my pre-booking.
I told him this did not seem correct and to wait whilst I called 13CABS switchboard to confirm. He did not wait around and drove off.
I was on the phone to 13CABS. By then, it was 4:18am. According to my phone records, I was on the phone with 13CABS for a total of 28 minutes. Our check-in was due to close at 5:30am.
Despite multiple bookings, no replacement cab came to pick my family up.
We had no choice but to drive to the airport and pay for long-term parking. It cost us $200.
I wrote to 13CABS to seek compensation for the monies spent. My family lost money because of their driver refusing to take us to the airport unless he pocketed the cash direct.
13CABS have refused to pay me any compensation. It is appalling. They have not accepted any responsibility for this. It is truly disappointing.

Terrible service. Priority was added to booking TWICE but no cab showed up. Booked ahead of time but the company booked more customers than they could accomodate. Customer service was unhelpful and rude. Late to our event. Was charged for the service anyway
Cab did not arrive despite repeated calls and booking 2.5 hours in advance
Booked a cab at 9:30AM for 12:00PM pickup. Cab did not arrive so rang customer service at 12:10PM. They said that they could not find a driver but would escalate to a supervisor who would call me back. Still nothing at 12:25PM so called customer service again. Got same story as first time. Called Hastings Taxis who had a cab forus 20 minutes later. Solution - management of 13Cabs should close the company and let somebody who is competent take over.
Unreliable and discourteous
I booked a maxi cab to the airport 2 weeks in advance. They didn’t send one. No apologies, no call. I called them. The service representative couldn’t care less about me not being at the airport for an international flight on time. They suggested to take two cabs and then put me through to a driver who hung up after i told him of the oversize luggage, the other one did not come within 10 minutes. I called and cancelled and took an uber (2 min wait). Then their app showed that the trip was completed when I never took it and cancelled it when none of the drivers arrived. If they charge my credit card I will refer it for a criminal investigation and to the licensing authority.
USELESS FOR TOURISTS - NEED AUSSIE MOBILE PHONE!
Can't book online or through app without an Australian Mobile Phone number so this company is useless for any overseas visitor. Considering it claims to service the airports, train stations and hotels this seems a bit stupid.
Driver was texting and driving, verbally abusive
Driver was texting and driving, missed me and kept driving down the road so I had to sprint after him on a 32 deg day in Brisbane. He then laughed when I finally caught up to him and didn’t get out of the car to help me with my bag. I was considerably angry, and shut the boot after putting my own bag in with some force, then he got out and yelled at me pointing fingers. As a solo female traveller I felt unsafe, and asked him to pop the boot and give me my bag. He drove off.
Complained to customer service with a safety concern with no response. Don’t use this company if you’re a solo female traveller.
Roadworthy?
In Hobart yesterday. I doubt the taxi is roadworthy. Filthy, I tripped over the floor mat and the door handle fell off when I opened the door! I have a photo of the vehicle.
Poor service
Arrived nearly 10mins early, couldn't move from my location because they couldn't change my booking for a TAC claim, which took nearly 20mins, I'm unable to get to my specialist appointment because of their errors and inability to do their job.
No show for booked wheelchair taxi…
Booked a wheelchair accessible taxi from Hyde Park to Sydney central railway station for 6.15am Saturday morning the night before. No show as no one picking up the ride. Contact with 13cabs assured us that we would have a taxi in 10 mins and also the same story when we contacted them again when no taxi arrived. We gave up after 45mins & got a passing taxi for the luggage & non disabled passengers. I had to go alone in my electric wheelchair on the streets to get to the station. We nearly missed our train (to Melbourne) as a result. As we left the station and on the train some 80mins after our booking, the app STILL showed that no one had picked up the ride….. Absolutely disgraceful.
If I’d not been able to navigate the streets on my own in my chair, we would have been stuffed!!
