I highly recommend 1st 4 signs . They made a pet memorial for my beloved cat of 17 years. It was very difficult finding a suitable pet memorial company that produced a good photo & wording. I chose 1st 4 signs because the quality looked good. I couldn't get through to their phone line. However you can contact by email them. I was so pleased when it arrived it exceeded my expectations. The quality of the memorial plaque is superb. The lettering & shield over the photo is excellent. And at a very reasonable cost. Such a beautiful tribute to my wonderful cat. Thank you 1st 4 signs

This is the third time I have ordered from 1st 4 signs. Each purchase has been exactly how I have wanted them to be. All the slates I have ordered have been gifts to loved ones who has sadly lost someone. I bought one 6 years ago, a personalised one and it's still going strong with the pictures still very clear. The latest one I ordered is also exactly how I wanted it and the people recieving the gift were reduced to tears. Thank you so much

I ordered à memorial sign for a pet and due to difficulty with website I tried ringing them.I never got to speak to anyone but Hung on.I didn't réalise that their phone number was a service number.Just checked my mobile bill and the unqnswered calls racked up £20. 50% of the cost of the sign.BEWARE.

The company's response is incorrect and totally misleading. 0843 numbers are business chargeable numbers ( I WASNT AWARE OF THIS BEFORE GOOGLING).
"0843 numbers are not free. They are business rate numbers and will cost you money."

My order arrived today and it’s absolutely beautiful. I lost my 23 year old brother 7 weeks ago to suicide, and we buried his ashes in his Nana’s grave. It’s been a difficult time, The sign is perfect and I can’t thank you enough for how perfect it is for both of them x

Ordered 1 slate sign for the front of our driveway, looked so good I ordered a second one to match. Not much else to say, would recommend and use again. All packaging was cardboard, no plastic or polystyrene in sight which was nice to see.

I ordered a memorial plaque with a photo of my dead 5yo son. The photo was grainy, faded and lines through it. They kindly sent a replacement. But then the replacement was still not acceptable. The photo was better quality but it wasn't aligned in the frame properly, it was crooked and had a line down the side. The gold boarder was messy, and appeared to be flaking away. When I contacted them about my disappointment. I received an offensive reply, accusing me of 'just wanting a refund'. and that they have only made a profit of £1. When all I wanted was a beautiful plaque for my boy. I then asked for a refund, as it was clear they weren't going to help. They refused and told me they will no longer reply to me. This whole time, I was polite and patient hoping they would rectify there dodgy craftsmanship. Months later, I have no memorial plaque for my son and and out of pocket $130.

Rapid email response. Sign beautiful, the picture or graphic of the sign planned they send you is white font on a black background, its actually a subtle attractive light grey lettering when it arrives against dark grey slate. Others have stated this also, the font and spacing, height of letters fit perfectly, maximizing optimum use of the slate backing.

They are the only guys who I found who did 45 cm x 10 cm, a good size to be read from a distance with folk with longer drives. Also on natural slate, much better than wood or ceramic.

The staff and company itself 1st 4 Signs are absolutely amazing. I live in the US and had a hard time finding exactly what I was looking for and finally found them. I wanted a Memorial plaque for my Son to place next to the headstone as it only shows his name (as the other family members). I needed something just the right size and showed what a Beautiful Man he was. I sent them pictures and wording and it came to life about him. I can't thank them enough.
