Bad customer service

My dwarf plum tree arrived damaged but I have been told I can't return it because I planted it. It was dark when it was delivered so I didn't have a chance to inspect it.

I purchased a dwarf discovery apple…

I purchased a dwarf discovery apple tree 2 years ago from this company. The tree arrived in reasonable condition and has grown to produce apples this year. I can know say with certainty that this is not a Discovery apple . I have tried to contact the company twice regarding this with no response. I would not recommend using this company as there after care is a disgrace.

Ordered 9 potted birch trees in early…

Ordered 9 potted birch trees in early May as it was too late in the season to be planting bare rooted... However bare rooted trees were delivered and only 2 out of 9 survived planting. They returned the difference in price between potted and bare roots but I'm still down around £100 for 2 small birch trees.

The worst company I know!

What a pity I didn't check all these comments here, I wouldn't have lost my money. I bought a Lilac Tree, which is in bad condition, it is simply sick with Lilac blight, I found evidence of that. The company claim that it is the fault of Autumn and is normal, what an absurdity! There is nothig to do with an Autumn, the leaves of the tree do not change colors as it looks in Autumn, the leaves are twisted, black with holes and spots on the underside and top. Even the young green leaves have black spots. So it's a lie. Terrible communication. Lack of respect, complete ignorance. I also ordered a Plum in preorder but due to the condition of the Lilac tree I decided to cancel this order. In the email the lady Charlotte wrote to me that she started my refund and I would receive a money within 5 days. Next lie. I did not receive my money. I can return the tree at my own expense (the tree cost £17.99 and the return to Northern Ireland is about £15 with UPS) but it must be in an intact condition, this is impossible because the tree looks worse and worse due to the disease. Do not buy from this company, read the reviews, there is a reason they have 60% negative reviews.

Horrendous customer service

Horrendous customer service. Absolutely no interest in customer care. Once they have your money they will cease to help you. I spent £60 with them only to find the product they sent was dead. They blamed for not looking after it. It was dead within days of receiving it. Don't bother they are rude and unhelpful.

My husband bought me 3 bareroot…

My husband bought me 3 bareroot blackberry plants and a potted cherry tree.

The cherry was not as big or healthy as advertised, it had two weedy branches and was not labelled.

The blackberries we planted correctly straight away and have looked after them well and all the same as each other. One has survived and looks healthy, the other two have not grown at all since planting in December 2023.

I have contacted 3fatpigs about the blackberries several times via the contact form on their website and they have never responded.

I would absolutely avoid this company. I have bought hundreds of plants before and if ever there has been any that haven't grown they have been replaced or refunded. Buy from Ashridge or Sarah raven instead!

A VERY POOR EXPERIENCE

I bought a peach tree from this company early in the year. I twice contacted them and sent photos to point out that it was barely growing at all. On each occasion they told me that it was just slow to ‘wake up’ after Winter - even in the middle of June!
The inevitable happen and the tree died back. I requested a refund but they refused to communicate.

Avoid

Wish i would have seen the reviews on this site before ordering.. recieved a very diseased walnut tree yesterday with extensive brown spot, holes on the leaves and some were even completely black and shrivelled. Partnered with a little stick with more brown and shrivelled leaves that was supposed to be a blueberry bush. I emailed 3 fat pigs the photos and asked for a healthy walnut tree to be sent out, but they just stopped responding and they really couldn't care less. I seen other reviews telling people to complain to B&Q which I will be doing and hopefully they won't be able to scam as much people in the future.

Happy first time buyer!

I went through Amazon, who use 3 Fat Pigs, to buy a plant I found hard to find, a mop top hydrangea. Just wanted to say thank you for a great plant, repotted it this morning and the root system looks healthy, lots of woody stalks which shows the plant has some age. I would buy again as my first experience was without any issues. Thanks again for the great plant, keep up the good work!

Great service

I ordered a honeysuckle plant last Wednesday and it arrived safely today. I was very apprehensive as I read the reviews AFTER ordering and wasn't expecting too much considering so many negative comments to be fair.
Having said that I was delighted with the plant. Green, healthy and well packaged. Even the compost was slightly damp. Considering it had been in transit since last Thursday when it was sent, it was thriving.
Thank you guys.

Terrible customer support - buy elsewhere

Bought 4 fruit trees, 3 have survived but the pear tree was not dormant but dead. The Company just did not care, their email replies just felt insulting. They then stopped communicating.

It's when things go wrong that Companies show their true nature. Don't buy from this one

SPENT £320 ON DEAD STICKS

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
I bought 300 bare root plants and a plum tree, virtually all of which were dead on arrival. They have the cheek to tell me - (I OWN A SMALL TREE NURSERY SO I KNOW HOW TO CARE FOR PLANTS) that I didnt look after them, thats why they didnt sprout!!
They must pick them early so they can dispatch quickly, in the mean time they dry out then blame the customer for not watering. My plants were absolutely drenched all the time. They ignore emails. Thanks for the dead sticks - £320 WELL SPENT

They Know What They are Doing! MY TREES looks really strong!

I just had my delivery yesterday from 3fatpigs of my "Golden Gage and Opal Plums". I am very happy with my trees!!! I had bad experiences this year with the more popular nurseries. Like JP****** 21 bareroot raspberries died and 1 of 2 Stella cherry died too., promised me a refund but never got it.
But with "3 Fat Pigs a.k.a Beechwood nursery, I can only say nice things about them. First, the plant was well packed in a sturdy box with a bamboo stick to support the young tree. It's potted which is tied to a plastic to secure the pot. Packed like a real PRO did it. The trees look really strong trees. And was encased with Barley Straw and a lot of it to protect the plant. I didn't wasted it, I used it with my chickens as bedding. The Trees arrived in amazing condition. 3 Fat Pigs or Beechwood nursery which I found in amazons.uk website is now officially my favorite nursery. I don't know why it has negative reviews. I wonder why.

Believe everything you read on here and…

Believe everything you read on here and avoid this company or loose your money. Despite what they told me, my dead plant won’t come back to life ! I think that says it all. They don’t care once they have taken your money even though the plants are not as stated.
2/11/24. Update as requested by the company. The customer service is more dismissive then helpful, such a shame .

3 fat pigs - FRAUD don’t order

FRAUD - mis-representation. Ordered a lemon tree described as ready to fruit. I received a 3” weed thing that can’t even stand up without being tied to a piece of bamboo. Customer service were rude and refused to refund. AVOID I tried to leave a review on their website and guess what the reviews have to be reviewed so they are not showing them. Should have ordered from Amazon at least they give you a refund. And why is the company not replying to any of these trustpilot reviews

Awful

Awful! do not buy from this company! They were completely unhelpful when I contacted them.
I purchased a tree and received a dry plant that had clearly not been watered for sometime. The 'tree' had some diseased leaves and was no more than a small plant. Avoid this company if you can or be prepared for rubbish 🗑 😒 🙄

What a dreadful company

What a dreadful company. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
Terrible specimens of three Silver Birch trees. All barely 5 foot, described as between 5-6 foot. One had no growth from the leading tip to 18” down- completely dead. Complained but very poorly received. Awful after sales service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
