A1 Taxi Line Reviews 

Charged us a £7.50 journey start fee when we dropped our friends off on the way. Absolute rip-off, will never use again.

At 1.20 pm I ordered a cab for 2pm , the assumption being that the car would be available and scheduled and there was plenty of time (with contingency) to get a 2.18 train from Amersham station a mile away. The confirmation text arrived immediately. At 2.01 the text confirming the driver was on his way arrived. Slightly miffed it was late, but understanding of traffic issues, we waited. At 2.06 I phoned the A1 taxi and was advised the cab was on his way. No one appeared but another text arrived advising the cab was in transit. At 2.10 I phoned A1 again and was told the cab was “on the highway” and 7 mins away. Effectively he was telling me my 2pm cab was going to get to us for 2.17 for a minimum 5 min journey to the station for a 2.18 train. We started walking to the station and within 2 mins were met by an apologetic cab driver who appeared to have been given the job at short notice. We raced to the station and arrived at 2.18, ran to the train and within the minute we were moving. The least they could have done would have been to be honest from the start and we could have attempted to get to the station via another mode but they failed. The result completely unnecessary stress and a nearly ruined day meeting friends for an event in London. Summary - I don’t trust A1 anymore.

Worst taxi company ever! Ordered a taxi was told 20 mins after 40 mins I called them to be told they had no drivers in the area so could be over an hour even though they had taken payment.
Asked to cancel they said yes but I would have to wait for a refund even though it had never turned up do not use this company

Pathetic avoid these like the plague cancelled ours and 2 other people's at a wedding by email!!! Stranded in the middle of nowhere

Awful Booked for 7:30am for a school journey from gwithian Got cancellation at 5am so only knew as happened to check phone at this early time abosolufe joke Son now stranded DO NOT use this company

Booked to take us to the airport at 6am this morning - taxi cancelled by email at 5am leaving us stuck for going on holiday.

Booked a taxi for an early pick up weeks in advance and confirmed a few days before pick up only to be rung up the day before departure to be told they don’t have drivers that time of day. They shouldn’t have taken the original booking if that was the case.
They advertise themselves as 24/7 365 days of the year which obviously is not the case.

Driver 66 top bloke got me there on time and picked me up on time 👌🏼

Called ahead and agreed a price. The taxi arrived and he wanted another £50 for himself. Took advantage of a family at midnight with no other options. When I refused to pay extra he drove off leaving my children in tears. Reg number of taxi SF66 EDC. Tried to give business to a local company but in the end had to use Uber and were half the price.
Avoid this company at all costs !!!

A1 taxi is absolute fraud do not use at all!!! Phoned taxi in morning and was told taxi would arrive between 11.20 and 11.30 we said to the operator we must leave by 11.30 to make the train as we have an event. After phoning twice as the taxi had not arrived, only to be told the taxi was just arriving this was not the case. We ended up driving to the train station. The taxi firm took the money and will not provide a refund even though no service was provided and they did not arrive at the agreed time. The operator was the rudest person ever, he wouldn’t give his name or help us. Do not use this company they will not turn up and will not give refunds. Beware terrible service!

We got quoted a price of £90 maximum. Half way through the journey the driver decided the fare was £135 he insisted we pay cash and we had to pay it as had no other way of getting home. We are two young women and felt threatened and intimidated. It was like being robbed. Please avoid this company. It’s a scam, the driver was also always on he’s phone and he’s driving was scary.

Reliable on time. Friendly chatty and helpful drivers all polite from talbot hotel to fairgreen. Wud use again and recommend to friends

Didn’t come for a return booking. Didn’t answer phone. Once paid a better company to pick us up spoke to them who said we’d been picked up and all ok. Would avoid this company is possible. Constant lies and no end product. Never used a more incompetent taxi company,

These people were born with a lie on their lips! Most unreliable taxi firm that will lie to you whilst leaving you stood waiting for 45 minutes after the time they give you . Do NOT ruse this company, worst taxi service ever!

I cannot give them a lower rating . They take a book charge you and then cancel the booking 5 mins before due time of pickup even though I had booked it 2 hours prior . Thank god for Uber. And this was for a trip to the airport. NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING IMPORTANT

scandalous prices notified half way through journey what the rate was.

Booked a taxi from A1 Taxi Line to Heathrow and back. Both taxis arrived on time, text messages sent to me to tell me make and reg of car and what time they were dispatched. Both drivers extremely pleasant and courteous. Great service. Would definitely recommend to anyone going to and from the airport.
