Ableworld are the largest mobility retailer in the country and believe this is because we genuinely care about our customer’s well-being. We employ professional, caring and knowledgeable staff to work in our stores, and provide quality mobility aids at value for money prices.
We pride ourselves on being an ethical trader who will not pressure sell items and if we feel a product should have an assessment we will not sell these online, as we want to ensure our customers that they are getting the right product for their needs, not just the most expensive mobility aid.
Our stores stock all types of mobility aids, including Mobility Scooters, Walkers, Powerchairs, Bathing Aids and Stairlifts. You can be assured that in all of our stores we provide the same caring approach to looking after our customers, and the same range of quality mobility aids.

I have had nothing but positive experiences. Most recently at the Northwich branch I’ve had multiple phone calls with grace and Louise.
And seen Russell when I was in store.
my power chair is behaving very oddly! But they have listened, made suggestions and are going out of their way to enable me to try manual wheelchairs to help me have some sort of backup just in case my power chair needs to go away to be looked at.
I understand they are shortstaffed at the moment and they seem to be playing Musical stores! However, they are all friendly, kind and keen to help! And I massively appreciate the ability to phone up and speak to a person!
Thank you!

Price of the underwear was competitive but the delivery was delayed, sadly however from a performance point of view (leakage), the underwear did not perform as expected, but the quality of the product in terms of its look and feel is good.

I took my elderly Mum into Ableworld Bridgend this morning and received an amazing service from Adam and Becki. They're both very knowledgeable about the products they sell and spent time explaining the pros and cons of the different mobility scooter models. They gave demonstrations on the folding mechanisms and allowed my Mum to try to lift it in and out of the boot of our car. A fantastic experience; thank you both very very much.

Went to Ableworld Wigan this last week looking for a 3 wheeled walker that was light and easy to fold and unfold. Peter and Julie were so knowledgeable and helpful and helped me to try several different ones. I was able to find one that suited my needs perfectly and that I was able to manage without any assistance. Finally , I can now get out and about independently.

What a fantastic experience I had with Ableworld Wigan this week. I sought advice with Julie three times on the telephone, and met Peter in store. The advice I was given, whilst searching for a support aid for an elderly parent was brilliant. Clear, knowledgeable, deep understanding of the products and clear expertise in their field. The store has loads of gadgets in it, so there’s always something to look at. I couldn’t be happier with my experience there this week.

I took my elderly neighbour to Ableworld in Woolston, Southampton to get her walker fixed and she was very happy with the service she received. They didn’t even charge her for fixing a new knob to enable her to adjust the handles on her walker. The assistant ‘Peter’ was very helpful and friendly, as were all the staff. Great customer service. The shop was well organised with a great range of aids. We would highly recommend Ableworld.

Fantastic, I spent 2 hours with Alex trying several scooters outside to check how they perform over humps and bumps. No pushy seller anything like that he was very knowledgeable about all the products on show and helped me to make up my mind on which scooter to buy

I have Stage 4 cancer which is affecting my mobility and so I’m not able to get around as well as I used to. I set up a GoFundMe fundraiser last year. Thanks to the very generous donations received from family and Facebook friends I was today able to buy a mobility scooter. Many thanks to Allyson and Roy ❤️

Most of the reviews that I have read are for how helpful the staff were when making a sale. The negative reviews are for the after sales which is my experience of my purchase of a stairlift. In the first year I had a fault which was fixed. Then the part of the chair that you pulled to use to go up and down the stairs stopped working and I had to use the remote control. I told the person who came to serve it about 14 months after purchase. He said the problem was actually related to the gadget that keeps the seat belt in place but he needed to check that I had a 3 year warranty which I did. He replaced it with another one which unfortunately has come apart a few times whilst going up the stairs. I ended up putting elastic bands around it to secure it. I have been unwell and in hospital and only felt like dealing with this now. The attitude of the lady answering the phone was neither friendly or apologetic about the problem that I was having. All she wanted to make sure of was that I had a parts warranty and to tell me that I had to pay a £70 call out charge. I live 5 mins from their shop. They give you their call out charges in their information package but I thought that as I had a warranty this would be done without a call out charge. This should be made clear on their receipt. It should be written that this 3 year parts warranty is reliant on the customer paying a £70 call out charge, more if you live more than 10 miles from the shop. So I have a stair lift that not long after it's first year has had two repairs and a part that is being held together with elastic bands.

Socks ordered for elderly male relative. Fit well and are comfortable. Package arrived soaking wet and had to be dried out before it could be opened. Happily contents were not affected.

Ableworld Lincoln what a brilliant mobility store! The staff are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I can always find what I need in there and if not they can get it for you. The prices are reasonable too. It’s the first place I think of if I need anything mobility related.
