This is such a great idea! I've always been a bookworm, and I wanted to get more into the horror genre. The Box of Stories has been a fun way to do that while also supporting authors that don't get enough attention.

I love this box. The books are well thought out and interesting, and the added extras are thoughtful and not just random junk that will clutter up your dumping drawer.

I love the book boxes! The books are in perfect conditions and often a good mix. The only things i don't enjoy are the packaging, the box always arrives in a plastic bag..

The books have been great so far, with lovely packaging an extra goodies. Support was super helpful when I had a query. Takes the stress out of picking your next read. 😍

Ive had my horror box subscription for a year now. Im lucky enough to have been with the abox of stories from the beginning. But I needed to ask a question about my billing. The team were fast about replying to my enquiry and my question answered quickly and easily. Such an amazing product and amazing costumer service. Thank you again @aboxofstories.

I initially ordered the 12 book advent calendar box last year and went on to purchase a subscription.

Despite being paid for my first subscription box did not arrive.

I contacted the company who apologised, advised they would have it despatched ASAP and look into what went wrong. I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

My second subscription box did not arrive. I contacted them again, another apology, another promise that it would be despatched ASAP and that they would look into what went wrong this time.

I made them aware in this correspondence that I was also due to receive an extra book as it was my 3rd order.

My box arrived today missing the extra book.

No explanation has been given into what is going wrong. I have cancelled my subscription.

Unfortunately I had already ordered the 'Bad Love' box due to be despatched this month and can only hope it arrives.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this company.

WOW! These boxes are stunning. I discovered this a company on instagram and the incredible idea of sending books every couple of months. I asked my daughters if they wanted it for an early Birthday present and they go excited.
The Horror box with extras is absolutely superb. It had a free horror tote bag, horror coasters, magnet, cards and posters. I had one issue with my order as wrong box arrived and WOW - they sorted it overnight. (I think they used the book dragon to send it as it arrived super fast next day)
The staff are friendly and helpful.
I adore that this company helps to rescue books from being pulped. A unique gift that keeps giving throughout the year.
I would love to see an “extras” box for crime, thriller and mystery. It would be so fun. A tea bag in this box would be a nice touch.
Top subscription for book worms everywhere! I wished I knew about this company earlier. The children’s on looks fun. I highly recommend this subscription for yourself or for anyone else who enjoys books.Magnificent!

First time purchasing books from this company. Ordered the advent books and ended up with 2 duplicates which can easily happen. E mailed the company and two replacement books were sent out. Service was excellent & an apology given.
Definitely be purchasing again.

I’m so glad that I have found this subscription service. I’ve recently got back into reading and I didn’t know where to start. I found this website and actually gifted the first box to my partner for our anniversary. I was very impressed with the books so I ordered one for me, a Christmas box and the horror box. Because I ordered three boxes, I got a free book which was great. I’ve had a great variety of books and extra treats (horror box) and I’ve rediscovered my love of reading.

I had an issue with my order not showing the genre of books I waned. I contacted customer services and they were amazing and had sorted it out by the next day.

I also enjoy the ABoS Facebook group too. It’s nice to discuss our books and see what other people have received in their boxes.

I have told lots of people about these boxes and will be giving them as gifts in the future.

As a mom of three very small children, I just needed something for myself. Finding this subscription and igniting my passion for reading has given me some small sense of self back after becoming lost in motherhood.

A fabulous way to find authors I’ve never heard of. Books always come in perfect condition. It’s a wonderful way to add to my library

I’ve just received my latest sci-fi and fantasy box. Another excellent selection of surprise books quickly and safely delivered.

I love A Box Of Stories! Getting my box each time is so exciting. Sometimes I get an extra book. They have sales of books at reduced prices. There are themed boxes at Hallowe’en, and Christmas, etc. plus there’s a lovely community on Facebook where you can share news on which books you’ve received or read - in and out of the boxes, so you can get even more titles added to every growing tbr piles. ABOS themselves are so helpful if things go wrong - it happens occasionally, as with everything, but they get things sorted quickly. You can pause your subscription if the tbr pile gets overwhelming lol. There’s just nothing bad to say. All excellent. Love getting the boxes. Love the people. 5 star all the way!!

I am currently awaiting my second box from this company. There is a sense of pure excitement you get to not only be surprised with carefully thought out books, but also to be introduced to new authors. I loved my first box, and I'm eager for my next to arrive

Brilliant service. Took a punt and ordered my first horror book box 29th July after office hours, it arrived 1st August. Very happy with the books provided (not going to spoil the surprise by saying what they were!) one released this year and two from 2023. There was a mix up with the free gift offer, but the customer service was brilliant (replying to all messages the same or next working day) and by 8th August it was all sorted. Already looking forward to next box in October.

I really look forward to receiving my box of stories. Every box has a variety of crime and thrillers. You have plenty of warning when a box is due so you can freeze a box if needed. Customer service is good if you have any problems. Highly recommended.

I subscribe to ABoS Horror box subscription and so far I am blown away by the books I've received. They also offer sneak peeks which have been so useful for me as I've been able to inform the team ahead of time when a box is due to contain something I already have, and they go abive and beyond to rectify this for me. The customer service is some of the best I have ever come across as a consumer. The responses are always prompt, polite and reassuring. I am absolutely delighted with the service I have received so far.

I've been looking for a good book box for a long time. I finally found A Box of Stories and they're perfect. I've had two boxes and the books have all been ones I'm interested in. I really love this box and I love how you can set how often you want it.

I was so surprised that there were 3 books in this box. It was my very first Horror box and it really impressed me. Love the extra goodies you get and the team is so lovely when I contacted them regarding items from previous boxes. Will stick with these boxes for a very long time and I can't wait for the next Horror book box!
