The Abridge Excel plug-in works well (very simple to use). It is obvious that a lot of thought and effort went into the product design to keep it simple for spreadsheet users like me. The humanoid customer support is also prompt and helpful!

I was distraught when I heard about MTD and now needing paid software to submit my taxes. I saw the price of larger accountancy softwares and my heart just sunk. What was free before was now looking to cost me an extra £100+ a year.
Just when I was about to fork out the funds is when I was told about bridging software like !Abridge.
And thank goodness for it! The Excel plugin is very easy to use when I want to submit my taxes; and at a fraction of the price. My initial problem now solved. Thank you !Abridge team!

I searched for TMD software and looked at others, but this appeared to be the most straight forward. So I gave it a go and found that I could enter my data quickly and in little time I had finished and submitted to HMRC.

I was after a simple cost effective solution for submitting quarterly tax filings to the UK government after the introduction of making tax digital. I didn't want or need full accounting software, nor links to my bank account. After looking at several options from the Gov approved list, Abridge looked like the easiest. I was impressed - a simple to use interface and easy to link to a template provided or own spreadsheets. I had to contact them and solutions were provided really quickly (within a working day). My quarter 1 return has been completed, with a minimum of time investment - less than an hour for the setup and submission and I expect future returns will be a matter of minutes.
I would highly recommend this software for anyone that is comfortable with keeping their own business records and wants a simple way of complying with UK government legislation of submitting their quarterly returns in a compliant manner.
