Replacement tablet charger was priced less than some but not the cheapest.
Arrived in reasonable time & worked well for one month, then only charged at a very slow rate.
Did not return as the cost to send compared to the value of item makes it hardly worth it. Also I made the mistake of not keeping the original box which is required for getting a replacement.
I have battled hard to get a refund for a Dell laptop battery which was cleary not the real thing as it did not fit into the compartment in the back of laptop and did not have a Dell logo on it.
Again, Jeffry would not accept photos clearly showing the impossibility of installing the battery into laptop. Having sent the photos, he now wants this illegal battery back so that he can send it onto some other unsuspecting customer. I do not intend to do that as i may then be a party to some fraud.
I have not yet had my money back and really couldnt see why he needed photos if what he was really doing was calling my bluff that i wouldn't send the product back.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Despite the UK website they are based in China, I have waited over 4 weeks for a battery, no movement on the tracking and excuse after excuse!! “Jeffrey” does not answer the questions you ask just tells you that you have to wait and return it. They will not give me a timeframe for delivery just keep telling me it’s probably with customs!! Only given 1 star as it’s impossible to leave minus stars!!
I have to say that I felt the same as reviewer Phil Aird (20 Nov 2020) as I could not find any reviews for this company before placing my order.
However, I am delighted to say that I ordered a replacement 150 Watt power supply for my HP Smartscreen PC600 on 7th May and it was delivered on the 14th May by Royal Mail. at a cost of only £39.65 inc P&P.
I had previously ordered one through Amazon having paid over £50.00 to include "express" delivery to receive notification that it would take a month so cancelled the order.
The unit looks genuine with the labels but it could be a fake but all I can say is that it works perfectly so far.
Personally I can only highly recommend this company.
I bought a Magsafe charger form this outlet. It was posted from Southhall in the UK. The item on eventual arrival was discovered to be a poor fake/copy of a real Magsafe charger and was assessed to be dangerous if used with electricity as it had no safety markings re wattage or anything whatsoever. There was no way I was plugging it in nor attaching it to an Apple computer!
I immediatley sought a refund only to be told the item had to be posted to an address in CHINA despite it being posted from the UK initially.
Communication is nil or poor at best. I dont understand why Paypal are still dealing with this outlet as it appears to simply sell counterfiet goods to customers in my opinion.
My advice to avoid this place and dont be tempted!
I needed a replacement AC power adapter for an HP laptop, and came across acadapter.co.uk. Given the site is hosted on a .co.uk domain, I assumed I was dealing with a legitimate UK-based business, but it turns out it's actually a dodgy bloke based in Shenzhen in China.
The AC adapter I received did not have the same part number as the one I ordered. It had an HP label, but was much heavier and bulkier than it should have been, and the materials looked and felt sub-standard - it dit not appear to be something HP would make. Furthermore, the part number stamped on it does not appear anywhere on HP's parts website, and can only be a fake. No way am I using dodgy, fake electrical equipment.
I emailed them, but "Jeffrey" refused to refund, and told me I couldn't return it because it would be "destroy by the customs".
I'd paid with PayPal, so I opened a dispute with them. I'm now able to return it to a "Qi Lin" in China and get a refund, but it will cost *me* £18 to refund it (50% of the price I paid for the adapter!!), despite the T's & C's on the website saying they pay for return postage, and I'll have to wait at least 2 weeks. Reminds me why I usually pay by credit card directly - so I can just do a chargeback if something like this happens.
I now see there appear to be several other dodgy "UK" businesses ran by the same "Qi Lin" joker, with many having attrocious reviews here on Trustpilot.
Avoid these scamming jokers like the plague!
I have to say my heart sank reading reviews AFTER I'd already placed an order with acadapter.co.uk.
I needed a replacement battery for my Lenovo laptop which will only charge genuine Lenovo batteries and this was the only place that seems to stock them for my particular laptop model now.
I am pleased to report that 3 weeks after ordering a genuine Lenovo battery arrived and is working perfectly.
Chinese Seller Disguised as a UK website. Fake Products. No Communication. Any problems, you have to return product to China. Avoid.
Ordered the incorrect laptop replacement battery for my work laptop (my fault, should have THOROUGHLY checked before ordering from an un-recognized company).
Once I realised I had the wrong one, I contacted the sales@acadapter email address, "Jeffery" got back to me relatively quickly about having it exchanged for the correct battery and asked me to send details for the correct one, which I did immediately. It looked promising at this point.
After several emails to them badgering them to contact me back regards the correct battery for an exchange, which I located in the meantime on their website for £2 odd or so more, which I advised them of.
I only received a reply 10 days after originally asking for help, the email read that to get the correct one I had to pay an additional 25 Euros to receive the correct one but that I could keep the original wrong one.
Obviously the wrong one was USELESS to me and doesn't fit my laptop, so I just wanted to exchange it for the right one. I didn't even mind paying a little postage to swap it over as it was my original error, but 25 euros is ridiculous and I don't want to keep the wrong one...
Not a helpful company.
AVOID USING.
I have re-ordered the correct battery from a reliable rated seller on eBay now who have already been more helpful in locating the correct battery for me.
Shop carefully all.
obviously people are confusing this with another site acadaptershop,
try them instead
DO NOT use this website! I ordered an adapter 1st of February and when I finally recieved it 17th February - it was the wrong one! The end was far too small to fit into the laptop! The adapter bit you plug into the wall had the correct sticker on but the end you plug into the laptop was completely wrong! I contacted the “company” but still no reply, there is no phone number to contact, only an email via the website, which is someone’s personal email.
This company is not legit! It’s a scam. I have been completely conned out my money!
Delivery on time and well packed. Laptop holds charge again, well worth the money.Used a few times and has good lifetime.
No communication - no customer service - NO PRODUCT. AVIOD
this company is a scam, advertising original products and then sending something completely different. very poor I feel completely ripped off and then to top it off I have been told by paypal to return the item at my cost to obtain a refund....buyer protection ......do not deal with this company they will rip you off.
I wish I had read the previous review before buying from this company. They supplied the wrong battery and then entered into endless arguments trying to pretend it was the correct one. I am still waiting for the right battery and for a return postage label to send the wrong one back.
Steer well clear.
After several weeks the correct battery eventually arrived.
acadapter.co.uk
This "company" is a ripoff.
Customer care when they are at fault is abysmal to the point of insulting.
Send you 3rd party items, not OEM parts as per website.
Sent wrong item refused to repay return shipping cost, so I'm out of pocket for their mistake.
Bad comms, refused to believe they made a mistake till I sent them photos. Then stopped talking to and just passed the issue to PayPal, who then forced me to pay the return shipping from the UK to China even though I'm not at fault. So my refund it going to be drastically less than I paid after I take the return shipping off. They're at fault they should pay the return shipping.
One last point, this is not a company but a single individual in Hong Kong making his website look like it's a UK seller. Don't be fooled, he will cost money and send the wrong unbranded product. He is not selling OEM parts but Liteon products which he sources and gets dropshipped. IE he's a bedroom seller. best give away is his PayPal account is in his name and not a company.
Lessen learnt! Stay well clear of this individual calling himself acadapter.co.uk
