Total Scam
I checked my bank account and found 2 withdrawals of $56.33 one in July and one in August. When I checked to see who the company was that took the money it came up with Bbultra.com I went to their site and selected the chat feature and spoke to an Ivan. I asked him who he was and what does their company do and he replied they are a billing support system for various websites. When I asked which website was connected with them he told me Activatevpn. I never signed up with that company and never gave them any credit card information so how did they get my information and how were they able to charge me. Ivan told me the account would be cancelled and I asked him to refund me. He said the money would be in my account in 7-10 business days. Not sure if that'll happen but I'll be doing the most I can to report this company. You take all kinds of precautions online making sure your banking info is not available to scammers but yet they manage to get in. Be aware!
SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM
There service cost like $10 to activate, I have never even heard of them before they billed me $1.25. how did they bill my card, when I had never gone to there site, moreover how did they just happen to bill me the same amount I was trying to pay to another site (for removal.com) to activate, my account. Well as it turns out I didn't get to activate the account because there is no way to contact either of the sites, no link no address, nothing. I think the two sites are probably in on it together, but would never admit it. It just seems to convenient that the VPN site's price is $10, but they charged $1.25, the exact price of the frp site. So they get the money but can claim they never did, because the other site billed it. It is all just bogus. Furthermore, there are only two options on the activatevpn.com site one brings you the option of paying roughly $10 to activate there service, and the other option is a help button that brings you nowhere. It's a dead end. Since I have found this site my life has become exposed a frustrating headache. Please everyone beware. Lastly they make it nearly impossible to cancel something I never ordered in the first place.
Beware - UWTULTRA
This company charged my credit card $1.25 on July 17th, then $39.95 on July 22nd. I looked up this company on the Internet and found a billing support phone number. I called and asked who they were and what product did they sell. Short story is, the REAL company name is ACTIVATEVPN.com. I accused them of fraud, I told them I never heard of them and did not subscribed to their services. They let me know they would cancel my subscription. I would rather them -1 if possible.

I got a charge for $39.95 on my credit card on May 19 2025 listed as HCSTRAIN.com. I called them and they looked up the charge and said it was from activatevpn.com . They said I had a subscription to activateVPN.com. I never subscribed to that service. HCSTRAIN.com said they would refund me the amount and would not allow activateVPN to charge me in the future.

They took money from my credit card on 15 April without my authorization $1,25 and $39,95
I cancelled my card and on 15 May they took another $39,95 as svgdcg.com.
I contacted svgdcg.com and they informed me that they are an outsourced customer service team for many companies (like Activate Vpn), but they are not part of the companies that own the websites where the transactions are performed...
They promised me refund the full amount.
Warning - SCAM ! SCAM ! SCAM !
Fraud, but fixable
It started when my husband got a charge for $1.25 on his debit card. Then for 2 months, another charge for $39.95 each month. When the third one came thru, our bank blocked his card. There was a phone # on the first charge. The bank advised us to call it and try to resolve this. We called, they were very polite. They canceled the subscription that he never authorized and said, when asked, that they would refund all of the payments. That was today so haven't gotten anything yet. I believe, know, that this is a scam, fraud. I'm sure it works on people who never check their statements. The # for support is 855-577-9465. The call resolved it quickly, I hope. Hopefully this will help others.
FRAUDULENT COMPANY DBA as multiple websites but all linked to ACTIVATEVPN.COM
No idea how these ass#oles were able to get my CC number but I made a bunch of transactions on my CC over the weekend at a farmers market then some legit businesses, and somewhere in there, one of them had this scam connected to it, and like many have said before they got a 1.25 charge then 2 days later got a 39.95 charge and my CC company immediately messaged me and called me screaming FRAUD so I go look at it and sure enough these 2 charges were listed under a company called VVHELPS.com and my CC company had their contact phone number so when I contacted them, they said they were a billing company for this ACTIVATEVPN.com website, and I said well someone gave them my info and set up an account for me and instructed you guys to bill me, so the VVHELPS.com support guy said we will block you from being billed again, and I had to cancel my Dam# CC and get a new one, then contact all of my auto paid bills linked to that card to put them on another card. so basically their scam is get the charge to show under some OTHER website as many people here have listed a different website that showed up on their CC bill. I'm not sure if these sites are legit or if they are set up to "Shield" the actual perpetrators of this scam, but someone needs to take down these turdburglars.
Scam
I didn’t recognize a $34.95 charge and chased it down to this website. Talking to their support led me to an audiobook site. They tried to pass me to someone else. I didn’t sign myself up, and am currently seeking a refund. It’s a scam, cancel through your bank for quickest turnaround.
Scam.
Several days ago I found an unrecognized charge to my CC in January for $1.25. Several days later another charge for $39.95 followed by two more of the same amount in Feb and March. The charges were processed by LGTSCS.com. When contacted that company said they were a payment processing firm acting for ActivateVPN.com. Contacted Activate and they have issued a credit. Its a scam that works on the basis that people just don't check their credit card statements in any detail. When caught, they refund, but I suspect that represents a very tiny fraction of their monthly charges. Fraud.
Scam Scamy Scam Scam
Absolute scam
Absolute scam! I was directed from a link to add debit details from a EasyPark and started getting direct debited right after from this scam company. They are dogs and apparently in the UK. I live in AUS.
Shady!
I was on western union website and having trouble logging in. Then somehow I was redirected to startwebtools.com and it asked for my debit info. I entered it thinking it was to verify my identity or something as western union is a Legit site so why would it take me somewhere fraudulent?! Then I get a charge for $1.25 and was never redirected back to western union!!! On my bank account it said gfwout.com. Then I called the number there and spoke to a chat who did refund my $1.25. I requested an email confirmation, which I did receive from activatevpn.com I will follow up if I do not get my money back. So yea with all these websites - my next step is a new card! Be very careful even on legit websites. There was no prompt telling me I was signing up for a subscription!
Fraud
This website tried to withdraw $35 from my account without any authorization. Luckily, my card was frozen, so they couldn’t take the money. Afterward, I tried to contact them to find out why they attempted to withdraw the funds, and they told me they would blacklist my account, even though I didn’t have an account on their website. Somehow, when I tried to reset the password, I was able to do so and managed to access the account, even though I had never created one. I will report this to the police as soon as possible.
