activatevpn.com scam.
I was looking at my bank account and had a charge for 34.95. I got to checking and after 1.2 on the phone with these jerks I was told it was activatevpn.com and it looks like I got hit for 5 months. First charge was 1.25. They had my email address and credit card. I must have went to a website somewhere and did not watch what I was clicking and oh well billed for stuff I am not using. This is some kind of scam. I had to shut down my debit card and get a new one.
Yup - Scam for sure!
Unauthorized monthly billing with reference WZ4SAFE. Didn't catch the first one... Hopefully in time for todays payment...
This is a scam
This is a scam. Maybe linked to a taxi I ordered? Appears as a popup which you seem to have to click to get through.

SCAM!
I was billed $29.95 on a reoccurring basis. I didn't recognize the charge in the bank statement. So I investigated and was able to cancel the billing.
Scam
Scam: not sure how it happened, apparently through my computer, I think, but my bank blocked the charge, after the initial $1.XX was charged. It showed up as TBSnow, had a phone number, and I was able to talk with somebody, but he seemed to want to string out the call, for no good reason….claimed it was an audible book subscription. I have one, already, & wouldn’t conceivably be adding another for $39 plus “recurring charge.” Watch out; on-line fraud is rampant!
Via prentnow.com they charged me 1.16…
Via prentnow.com they charged me 1.16 euro, and 3 days later charged for 32,45 euro, while i didn't buy or ordered anything.
Don't know how to get refunded, don't know how they charged it!!

SCAM
SCAM. My mother was instructed to download and install a government run application that is necessary for students administration. Upon installing the app, at some point she was redirected to this website and thinking this is necessary for their application, she gave her data and completed this subscription. I had to help her unsubscribe and she had to block her card, get it replaced and change her passwords. Unbelievable.
I purchased a helmet cam
I purchased a helmet cam, and there was a QR code in order to get access to troubleshooting issues. I see they wanted $1.25 in order to gain access to this helmet, cam support. I am so happy. I thought this was unusual. When I saw the name activate VPN, I’m thinking already have a VPN something smells fishy. So then I did a search for activate VPN scam, which got me here and I’m really glad you guys reported your problems your issues with the same service big thumbs up for you guys you save me a lot of hassle.

During Windows 11 installation a QR code shown to connect phone with PC, then this page loadad up instead of Microsoft webpage. After giving the card data, they charge $1.25, then 1-2 days later they tried $29.95 payment for "Tb4csnow.com". Fortunatelly Revolut stopped the transaction. Don't give any card data!
This is a definite scam and fraudulent
This is a definite scam and fraudulent. Website popped up while i was trying to activate my smartwatch and I clicked on it thinking it was legit. Do not fall for this trap. They stole my credit card information and started making fraudulent charges. Fortunately my credit card company detected it, denied the charges and sent me a new card. Scammers/thieves caused me a great deal of stress and aggravation trying to resolve the problem. Beware, they will steal your credit card information and make fraudulent purchases. Wish I could give them 0 stars.

SCAM SCAM SCAM
Definitely a scam! For some reason when a scanned a ring camera this came up and I stupidly thought it was part of the set up! Comes out as some dodgy name like xycalls.com and they ask for your card info to cancel which they didn't actually need but I've now froze my card 🙄🙄 don't be me!
Edit:they reported this to be taken down but thankfully I had screenshots with proof.
This is definitely a scam
This is a scam. Was downloading a telco app and Activate VPN suddenly appeared. Thinking it was part of the telco app, I downloaded and was charged US$1.25 without being told there was any charge to begin with. The payment was charged via BRWCSPAY.COM and I checked that it was an adult entertainment site. When I was on chat with them to cancel, I realised I had subscribed unwittingly to their monthly subscription of US19.99. They kept pushing for subscription at 50% off and when I rejected they gave a further discount. Finally got them to cancel but unsure of how my card was compromised in any way.
Total scam
Total scam, redirected me to this company when trying to purchase parking from a UK company .. luckily my bank spotted it straight away, funny how all positive comments are 1st reviews and all very similar wording! avoid avoid
