It took two tries, but the end result was positive!
So if you had asked me to do a review about a week ago, it would not have been good. My initial experience with my demobilization brace and the guy that instructed me on how to use it was not very favorable. HOWEVER, after having the brace continue to come undone (the cost of that brace to my insurance being $850 with my $250 co-pay), I decided to contact the office for a "re-fit." I asked for a different fit therapist and was WOWED when Tom came in and basically explained a whole different way to use the brace AND that the brace was defective (the clips that lock in place should not come open willy nilly like mine had been doing) and he was going to get me a brand new one. I left there with a new brace and with a lot more gratitude for the customer service that "Active Brace & Limb" was able to give me. I'm not sure if the initial person I had was new, a trainee, or having a bad day. But Tom...well he was quite awesome. May every fit technician there be like TOM! Also, a shout out to Tabby for her great customer service skills in getting me in asap.
Lesson learned: If it feels like the brace isn't working, go in for a re-fit. Ask for a new technician. You won't be sorry! I'm giving four stars based on cumulative experience. If I had been given TOM at the first appointment, this review would be five stars all the way!
