I bought a custom stained glass window film from Active Window Films for my bathroom. It looks really authentic, you’d never know it’s a film. The colours are beautiful, especially when the light shines through.

Delivery was quick, and it was surprisingly easy to install. I’m genuinely happy with how it turned out.

Absolutely love this film! Not only does it provide privacy from outside view, but it has also noticeably reduced the heat coming through the windows. Our bedroom used to get uncomfortably warm in the afternoon sun, but now it’s much cooler, and we don’t need to use the air conditioning as much. The film itself looks great, and it’s a cost-effective way to improve comfort and privacy at home. Very impressed!

Installed this on my living room windows, and during the day, it works exactly as described—full privacy from the outside, but I can still see out. However, at night when the lights are on inside, the effect reverses, so you’ll still need blinds if you want privacy after dark. That said, it’s a fantastic product, easy to apply, and makes a huge difference in keeping nosy neighbors out during the day. Will be buying more for the upstairs windows!

Really happy with this product! During the day, no one can see in, which is exactly what I needed for my street-facing windows. Installation took a little patience, but once up, it looked seamless. Just remember that at night, if you have lights on inside, people can see in, so you might still want curtains for complete privacy.

I've used ActiveWindowFilms before for a small privacy film job, which went well. However, my recent experiences have been disappointing. In recent order, the Mirror film arrived with numerous noticeable imperfections, making it unsuitable for my intended project. While I managed to repurpose it for another task, it wasn't the quality I expected. My second order was even more problematic. The film had visible flaws and imperfections in the material, significantly worse than the first batch. Additionally, I suspect I didn't receive the correct length of material I ordered. While my initial experience with ActiveWindowFilms was positive, these recent orders have been subpar in terms of product quality and potentially quantity. I hope the company can address these issues to maintain the standard I experienced in my first purchase.

I must add that I have not contacted the company to correct this as I'm just going to go elsewhere to complete the job that I have started and do not want to be frustrated further.

First time using this type of product.
I ordered Mirror Silver Window Film - One Way Tint to fit out our conservatory. Makes a big difference to temperature. Temperature with roof insulation now approx matches temperature outside. E.g. was 28C outside and notice temp max 30C inside conservatory. Might seem still high, but With roof insulation alone, temp was outside + about 10 to15 C, so would have hit up to 45C previously! I ordered two times. Both times the order arrived quickly after a few days. Recommend ordering their tool kit to save time. Watched a few YouTube videos to understand how to fit properly. It can be fiddly as film is sticky and and stick to itself if not prepared. Overall result is good. Helps to have a large table to meaure and cut. Most bubbles can be avoided by ensuring windows are thoroughly cleaned and sprayed down before fitting, but I still have some small ones left which I stopped caring about after a week or so. You really have to look out for them to actually see it.

Ordered supposed automotive tint. Took a few days to get here but ok. However, film seems awful to me. So thin and flimsy that it was creasing just through being unrolled. Was trying to fit to a slightly curved window, heat did absolutely nothing to it. Did not come with any instructions. Having watch some videos online, the products they were using seemed much thicker and more durable and of course shrunk with heat to allow it to be fitted to curved window. Emailed to ask if there was anything that could be done. Its been a week and no reply. Couldn't care less it seems. Consistent with other genuine reviews.

I had order window film for my living room on the 22nd of December. I originally thought that it may have been delayed because of the Xmas rush/break. I contacted the company on the 23rd January to complain that I hadn't received the delivery.
A member of staff replied to me and sent me 'proof' of delivery which was a photo of where it was delivered to but this was not a photo of my house.
According to this company, it is then my responsibility is then mine as it has been 'delivered'.

They refuse to refund or send a replacement unless I pay half price again.

Disgraceful customer service!

The film went on fairly easily, need plenty of room. The film is thick and easy to handle, I thought it would be flimsy. The results turned out better than I thought. The bubbles that remain after application disappear after a few days. Everything went smoothly from order to delivery to application. happy days

What an amazing, understanding company. In my 70th year and made a total hash of attaching the frosted film. I got in touch and they immediately sent me another order completely FREE!!! You cannot ask for better

Avoid this company. My item was not delivered and it took almost 20 email exchanges and escalating a dispute with my credit card company to get the item resent. Do not buy from these people - way more hassle than it is worth.

We found it absolutely impossible to remove the backing from the film. Even had a neighbour/friend try and they couldn’t. I reported this to customer services. They came back with suggestions to resolve but none of them worked and they simply couldn’t accept that there could be an issue with this particular off cut. After lots of emails they asked for a photo. Didn’t understand what this would achieve but agreed. They just responded to say that they could tell from the photo that the film wasn’t faulty but the photo proved that the film and backing was still in tact! I feel they only asked for this to further inconvenience us and deter us from complaining. They told us to return it but wouldn’t cover the postage cost (which was half of the cost of the product). The after-sales is poor they have no process in place to deal with faulty products. If you have a fault then I wouldn’t even waste time contacting them as based on our experience they are unlikely to believe you and you will have to incur further costs for returning it. Strangely the majority of reviews on their own site appear to be positive so felt it pointless reviewing it on there.

I bought 2 lots of film from this company. The 1st film which I thought was opaque white, was just sticky backed white plastic. I prepared the windows cleaned it sprayed it with the soap and water, removed the protective film from the window film sprayed it applied it to the window squeezed out all the water with a soft plastic card.After less then an hour the white plastic began to bubble with the sun being on the window and the glass was red hot I had to remove the film other wise the glass would have smashed . No mention what so ever that this film was only for single pain windows or toughened double glazing! The 2nd lot was opaque white window film,or that should be window paper as its like cigarette paper , cheap, nasty flimsy trash , as before prepared the windows cleaned them sprayed the glass with the soap and water, removed the protective film from the window paper sprayed it with the soap and water applied it to the window. Used a soft plastic card to squeeze out the water then I noticed big white streaks across the film where I had used the soft card to remove the water,which I could not remove!Awful just awful. I've used a lot of window film over the years but this is the absolute pits.I'm shocked at just how bad this so called window film really is. Spend a bit extra and buy some decent film, avoid this junk at all costs

Ordered 1m of product and a blemish was on one half. No response from company despite photos and a request to resupply the damaged half. I would not recommend.

I've ordered twice from here now and I can't recommend them enough.
I wish I had more windows to cover!
Their films are easy to use. We've put an opague white film up the back door and white horizontal stripes up the 2 kitchen windows and we love them.
Ordered one day and they turned up the next day on both deliveries.

Fast service, dispatched within 48 hours and the product was well packaged. The only thing that let them down was the delivery partner, right now they are using Royal Mail, which has its problems: It appeared they delivered the package to a 'JESUS' but no such individual lives at my apartment nor was package anywhere to be seen. Turns out they had dropped it off at the another address and ofcourse 'JESUS' did not exist, looks like the post-man signed for it himself using the son of God's name!
ActiveWindowFilms only put my surname on the package and not first name, luckily the neighbourhood email group picked it up and the package got to me eventually.
