Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful! I needed to look a bit more fresh for a meeting at work so popped in to this shop was closest. I really wish I'd read the reviews before doing so, I would of saved myself a month of embarrassment and hiding my head under hats. The barber if I can even call him that began by telling me "you look ill" so always nice to hear that, then despite giving him very specific instructions on what I wanted he proceeded to ignore that and just do what he wanted instead. I asked for a low fade with lots of texture on top that I like to sweep to the side, and then despite multiple times of me telling him otherwise he gave me the highest fade I've ever had, coming up past my crown leaving just a tuft of hair on the front in what can only be described as the Ronaldo World Cup 2002 style. Which he then used an ungodly amount of product to spike straight up making me look like I'd had an incident with a live plug socket. I've never in my adult life wanted to cry so much. 1 month later I've gone to an actual professional and even he's struggled to tidy the mess this business has left. Please do not use this company for your own sanity.

Stopped at this branch in Westfield and took a chance as it was quite and didn’t have long before my meeting and I wish I never did. A gave an accurate description with relative pictures of what I wanted and didn’t want. The guy looked confident and started the job. I stopped him various times to remind my request but nothing,he kept saying not to worry. As a result my hair is a complete mess! I complaint but the guy turned very arrogant mentioning the length of his career (10 years). What a west of time he had.
Will never go back

Shocking haircut, this shouldn’t happen.

(Monument Branch) With a heavy heart I have to leave a poor review, as Im sure it's just poor training, and not the hairdresser. I wanted a particular style of haircut, and ended up with the shortest uneven haircut I have ever had, It was mainly cut with an electric trimmer, scissors are normally used, 30 minutes of buzzing in my ears was no fun, maybe it was my fault for not being more vocal when could see this was going so wrong, as it was a premium price, (Directors Cut) thought I was in safe hands, if I wanted an army style this would be the place to go, fortunately hair grows back, anyway it gave the office a good laugh.

Poor/non-existent service

Been using the one in Cabot Square for years now, justifying the extortionate price because they usually deliver a nice service (drink, massage, hot towel). However today the guy doing my hair just seemed angry to be doing it and dispensed with all niceties and service. He couldn't have given less of a shit and rushed me out as fast as he could manage. I know there are far better services out there at less of a cost. This guy has just given me the drive to go and find one of them.

Very pleased I stopped off at the St James branch on the way home. Well looked after, Ali cut my hair exactly as I wanted, and I don’t have easy hair to manage so was impressed. Very reasonable price.

Not the style I asked for

I talked through what style I wanted and the barber showed me how much he would cut and I agreed. He then continued to cut it shorter and shorter until it was completely different and much shorter than what I had asked for. I’m giving a 2 star review because it was a neat haircut, just not the one that I wanted. The hot towel and shoulder massage at the end was very relaxing though.

They don't listen to you when you explain what haircut you want - I literally just gave up - I said I wanted my fringe disconnected - and he went and immediately chopped off my fringe and connected it up - I was furious!

They know how to do a fade on the sides but that's about it - if they don't understand the client it's their job to confirm before immediately cutting the hair.

Can't believe I spent £42 on a haircut that is clearly not what I wanted. It couldn't be further from what I asked for.

Awful

Awful. £42 for a haircut. Less than 10 minutes actually cutting my hair and with no proper wash at Adam Grooming Atelier in Canary Wharf Jubilee Place. I wouldn’t recommend having your haircut there.

Keep the good barbers only.

I have been a customer for several years since Adam was opened at Canary Wharf tube station. The staff are good and professional. This month on 17 August I decided to book my haircut at the new shop in Jubilee Place: what a mistake! In an hurry and careless barber there. No attention to detail. Adam is opening many shops but they should carry on finding the good barbers as they did in the original shops or they will loose customers like me.

Umit at Bank

I went to the Bank branch and had my cut with Umit. He was incredibly attentive with every detail of the haircut, and went out of his way to make the experience an incredibly enjoyable one. I would definitely recommend!

Bad customer service

I wrote a review about a terrible experience that happened to me in this place. they actually sent an email asking for my phone number to fix this. been two days and no one called and probably will never do.
which explains why the staff member was extremely rude to me because he knows that he can get away with it.
I mean if this is the level of the customer service dealing with complaints you can imagine the level of the poor service they have.

here is my review again:
I have had the worst experience of my life at ADAM Grooming Atelier , Canary Wharf - Jubilee Place
I explained to the barber exactly what I wanted to do and I even showed pictures.
he completely ignored what I said and went to a weird haircut of his own that was terrible. he completely ruined my hair and when I stopped him to explain how to fix it. he was so angry at me and he said you should leave as I have other customers!
not to mention that he was directing me on how to move my head in a very aggressive way and this is when I asked him to stop because I felt like he could actually hurt me physically and asked the manager to find another barber to fix my hair.
it was also very rude of him to shouting in Turkish because obviously he was insulting me in his language.
at the end they made me pay the whole amount 42 pounds and when I made a complaint to the manager about the whole experience and he just said sorry, I'll have a word with him.
defiantly not going back to this horrible place ever again.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I went in for what was going to be a trial haircut for my wedding in July. Because of this, and because I hadn't ever had a more premium haircut before, I came in really happy and excited. Naturally, I told the barber the barber about the wedding which I was hoping would get an equally positive response. Instead, it was thing that led to this haircut being the worst experiences and examples of customer service I have ever encountered.

One of other barbers, overhearing the conversation decided he thought it was appropriate to list to me the reasons why he thought marriage was a terrible idea. There was no humour here. It was incredibly uncomfortable and argumentative and he wouldn't let it drop. He continued to interrupt my haircut and my barber did nothing to discourage it.

With regards to the haircut itself, it wasn't any better than the £15 haircut I usually have. The biggest red flag being that they use thinning scissors to thin out my hair. A clear lack of technical understanding and not worth the £42 I paid.

It really was the worst experience I have had in a long time. I went from being incredibly excited and happy to wanting to get out of there and get my money back. I will never go back to ADAM Atelier and am doing my upmost to warn all my friends of the experience.
