Analytics could be better

Love almost everything about Adilo but the analytics dashboard feels limited. It shows engagement, but I’d love more granular data like heatmaps across multiple sessions or viewer drop-off per second. Still, it's a solid tool and does 90% of what I need.

Affordable video hosting for startups

We were spending a lot on Wistia until someone recommended Adilo. At first I was skeptical, but now I’m sold. We got their lifetime deal. Uploads are fast, embedding is flexible, and we even get detailed watch analytics, all at a fraction of what we were paying. Honestly, this is perfect for startups on a tight budget

Full of bugs

I've been using Adilo for more than a year now, and I've probably contacted the customer support more than 25 times to fix some bugs or server issues. It has never - literally never - worked flawlessly for a full month so far. And some bugs are still there even though I've reported them half a year ago. Just frustrating.

Great value, but the interface could be cleaner

Adilo offers ridiculous value for the price. I use it for all my videos and so far the streaming has been flawless.Uploads are quick, video playback is smooth, and the customization tools are solid. My only gripe is the dashboard, it works, but it’s a bit clunky in spots especially the video customization dashboard, it takes a little getting used to. That said, once you learn your way around, it does the job well.Definitely a smart buy, I will update my rating when they improve on their interface.

Best video platform for agencies

I got the agency account which gives me access to 100 user accounts and unlimited storage. Best decision ever. I wished they had a feature to Whitelabel the platform with my own branding, hoping they add that soon but so far, it's 5 stars for me.

Tons of potential, but still rough around the edges

Adilo clearly has the right foundation. I bought it for the annual promo deal and the feature list is impressive—video hosting, podcast hosting, lead capture, DRM, video editing, the works. But I’ve run into a few bugs here and there (the subtitles not updating after I make changes and the editor working only with the recorder, I thought it worked with all videos).
Support was polite and helpful, however they should prioritise fixing these little issues. It’s a great tool if you're patient, and I believe it’ll only get better with time.

More UGC videos than we bargained for

One of my favorite Adilo features is the video request link. Total game-changer. I just dropped the link into our thank-you email sequence after purchase, and now customers are sending us video reviews without us even chasing after them which used to be the case.

We're now getting more UGC videos than we anticipated which has been really good for our social media ads. Love it. Simple but powerful.

Clean video player, waiting for the recorder update

I switched to Adilo about 3 months ago after getting tired of Vimeo’s swelling costs. Honestly, it’s been the smoothest transition. I use Adilo mostly for hosting course content and what I love most is how clean and customizable the video player is. I'm able to built interactivity between my video lessons at no extra cost... this has been the coolest feature for me.

So far I'm still waiting for their new recorder with advanced editor which they have promised and shifted the release date multiple times now.

Podcast hosting made easy

One thing I learned: hosting podcasts on the platform is a breez.
I uploaded audio files, created playlists, and even set chapters for different segments.
My listeners appreciated the seamless playback, and I embedded episodes on my site without issues.
To be fair the interface took a moment to get used to, but now it’s second nature.

Customer service is truly diabolical

Customer service is truly diabolical. Adilo is so difficult to understand and use that I was just wasting my time and effort. So asked the chatbot how to delete my data and close down my account. It should be easy to answer this, yes? No, two weeks later I am still waiting for the 'team in charge' to help me shut down my account. No idea what team that might be, but it's the only answer the chatbot can give me. And when you try by email they pretend they don't know what issue you are having and you have to start again. Save your money and your sanity, don't use Adilo.

TOTAL SCAM ..

TOTAL SCAM ... i can prove it..........every ad claimed unlimited storage and i still checked with them by email and online chat...still claiming offer is legit......i went online to purchase..... i entered paypal but did not complete purchase....site made offers for further upgrade plans.... i kept denying .... and kept making me review more expensive plans... finally ran out of plans and returned me to standard plan....i opened chat to ask one more time that offer was real.... when i directly asked if standard lifetime was unlimited storage forever it disconnected ... so i closed website without authorizing $69 paypal payment.... i went to my email and new mail from "ADILDO" lol thanking me for opening account.... i logged into account and it said i paid $97 for 300GB storage lifetime... i emailed to close account and refund...i started online chat with agent... told me i was misinformed, standard lifetime DOES NOT EVER include UNLIMITED STORAGE... I demanded refund immediately and gave RECEIPT # from email.... agent will forward to be handled... DO NOT BELIEVE ADILO ADS...DO NOT BELIEVE FACEBOOK CHATS BY PHONY USERS... SHARE MY EXPERIENCE ONLINE ANYWHERE YOU CAN

Customer service is nearly zero here

Customer service is nearly zero here. Chat eventually defers to "I submitted it to tech and will email you when I get a reply," and then nothing. This has happened multiple times, but it hasn't stopped them from continuously upselling.

Buggy, terrible backend, and won't refund your money

Well you know what they say - if it's too good to be true, it ain't. Player has overlapping elements that make some features on it unusable. Playlists are ugly and poorly optimized. Video playback is laggy and fully of bugs. The billing process is also insane, as they outsource to a third party and I had to manually tell customer service to link my subscription payment to my account. The whole website feels like it's held together with spit and prayers.

Also you can't trial any premium features before you buy, so I bought with the hope that it'd be what it says it is with a "14 day satisfaction guarantee." Unfortunately when trying to get my money back within 14 days, they're denying their product has unfixable issues and then ghosted me when I send them comprehensive proof.

Will revise this review to a higher rating if they honor their 14 day refund policy, for decent enough customer service and some features that might work for some (like screen recording). For now, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Not accessible from UK’s main ISP

The tool itself is good but don’t even think about using it in the UK. Virgin blocks all the content hosted on Adilo. In fact it even blocks access to adilo’s page so unless you use a VPN you cant access anything. I have contacted their support multiple times and they either ignore or just say they ll look into it. It’s been over a year and I never got any follow up.
