It was such a nice day and a sophisticating view!
First stop was Bran Castle, I really loved it, I went there two times now and I can really recommend it.
The weather was a bit mixed so we had the option to do another hike through a stunning gorge. So we did and it was very remarkable. After that we drove to the restaurant in a village on top of the mountains. It was truly special because of the view and also because of the traditional and local food. It was beautiful to get an impression of romanian culture. The tour guide Dan was really friendly and knows a lot of his country and Transylvania. I've learned a lot about the life in Romania and about the history and culture - I'm sure this was also the best expierience next to the beautiful sceneries. Thanks a lot for this beautiful trip!

Bear watching experience was good. We were lucky to see a bear. Our guide Robert was nice and very knowledgeable.

Our experience with Active Travel was great. Our guide was very patient and very nice and the landscape is wonderful. We recommend it.

If you want to connect with nature without disturbing wildlife in a really intimate way this is your best bet in the Brasov region. We saw 5-6 bears and a curious fox passing in front of us doing their thing. They didn’t beg for food, they didn’t do tricks. They were simply at home. I would do it again!

Charlie is absolutely brilliant. We had a wonderful day with him. His recommendations were fantastic, and he taught us a lot about the history of the towns we visited and of Romania. We're delighted. We will always recommend him.

The tours was very beautiful. The canyon definitely worth visiting and then the hike from the canyon was very nice as well. Marian, our guide, made the tour confortable for was. Definitely recommend it.

A great and knowledgeable guide and genuinely a small group. And the added bonus of seeing 6 different bears. Highly recommend.

We saw a lot off bears and some foxes. It was an amazing experience. I would recommend to do the tour. You can feel that the guide/company really takes care of the wellbeing of the bears and the safety of the small group. The guide had a lot of knowledge of the bears and you could ask him everything about them.

We booked the bear watching activity. Everything was great organized. We were picked up in time. The great drove us in a new vehicle and drove safely to our stop. From there we walked 7min to the safe bear watching hut.
We were lucky to see 4 female bears. The guide answered all of our questions. It really was a once in a lifetime experience!
Although I was skeptical if it will be a touristy thing. It wasn’t at all and I can highly recommend doing it!

We experienced the Small Group Tour to Viscri Church Sighisoara Town Rupea Fortress

If you’re staying in Brasov make sure you take the time to visit sighisoara! What an absolute gem of Transylvania, we also visit Viscri for lunch and a visit to the fortress church which was wonderful and shows you the traditional Romania you imagine. The whole day was something from a fairytale and our guide was wonderful! Thank you Charlie for a lovely day exploring your country.

The meet up was easy and punctual and there was communication before to make sure we had bought castle tickets online to avoid being disappointed by quotas. Dan the guide was extremely knowledgeable about everything and the activity includes a personal walk thru the castles so you get the best experience. The group was just Dan, myself and another couple which helped make it feel relaxed and personal. There was lots of general conversation and laughter between locations. Every castle is totally different so no fear of seeing the same thing multiple times. I learnt so much about Romanian history including links to the UK

We took a private tour of Rupea Fortress, Sighisoara Town, and Viscri Church with Charlie. The experience was truly amazing, featuring spectacular scenery and impressive historical sites. Charlie was attentive and displayed a genuine passion for his work. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour!

I booked this day hike with Active Travel Brașov. Communication over WhatsApp was timely and clear.
My guide was Bogdan. Bogdan knows the mountains around Brașov inside out. A great motivater, philosopher and positive individual. Highly recommended.

I went on two tours with this company while in Brasov (castles and medieval villages). Both were great and the guides ensured everyone had a good time. Can't fault this company and would definitely use again if back in the area.

Our experience was great. The weather was quite adverse, but the trail was worth the wetting. Bogdan is a wonderful guide, who loves the mountain and gave us lots of information, a very entertaining conversation. Landscape is breathtakingly beautiful.

Short walk up to the hide and we were lucky enough to see 2 bears immediately. The bears soon disappeared and didn’t see any more for 1 and half hours. In the final 45 we saw 4 different bears. They were definitely worth the wait and our guide was great. Very informative and dropped us off in the old town square because it was easier for us.

Tibby was an amazing tour guide. He was passionate and knowledgeable and clearly cared about everything he spoke about. We were well looked after and he went out of his way for photo stops and bathrooms! He took us to a great restaurant in visci which we would never have found on our own.

I had a great experience with our guide Charlie from Active Travel today. He was friendly, professional, informative, funny - and a very good, safe driver. I cannot think of any way he could have made our tour today better. My highest compliments to Charlie and to Active Travel.

My girlfriend and I, we took the tour that included Peļes Castle, Bran Castle and Rasnov Fortress.We had Mr. Tiberiu as our guide, a knowledgeable and polite gentleman who made us feel at ease, and the time limits were properly respected.
