Drive Botswana offeres a tailor-made journey of a lifetime. The preparations was perfect. We requested a self-drive trip through Namibia and Botswana with 50% camping and 50% lodges. Phil provided us with an interactive online map that showed the proposed travel plan and all accommodations. The map included information about the areas, distances and useful tips. Also, we received two booklets and hardcopy maps at home that included tips like places to shop, tipping and border crossings. During the trip, they were easily reachable and even helped us when one our bags did not arrive at the airport. The bookings made were all perfect and we often had the idea that they reserved the best spots of the campings/lodges for us. We highly recommend Drive Botswana if you want to book an amazing trip to Africa!

We are a family of three and this is our second trip organized with Phil from Drive Botswana, and we cannot recommend them highly enough. Every detail was meticulously planned to ensure we had the best experience possible.

Last year, we did a self-drive adventure around Botswana, and this July, we went on another self-drive trip in Zambia. We started in Maun, Botswana, driving through Savuti NP and crossing into Zambia. Over the course of almost four weeks, we drove 5000 km, visiting incredible destinations like Liuwa Plains, Kafue National Park, North and South Luangwa, and the Lower Zambezi.
Our journey through Zambia was nothing short of extraordinary. From the stunning landscapes and breathtaking wildlife to rafting on Victoria Falls, bush walks, and canoeing on the Lower Zambezi, every moment was incredible. We encountered wonderful people along the way which added even more richness to our experience.
We faced a few hiccups, as one might expect on such an intensive trip, but Phil provided outstanding support and follow-up whenever needed.

This was truly an unforgettable adventure, filled with enourmous rewarding moments on all levels. If you have an adventurous spirit, don’t hesitate to trust Drive Botswana to help you turn your dream trip into reality. We will be back!

We organized our recent trip to Namibia and Botswana with our family with Drive Botswana and it was a really great experience. From the start, the communication was very fast, effective and Phil really listened to our needs and concerns to build the best itinerary possible. It was easy to make changes along the way and the prices were competitive. We contacted 3 other agencies before deciding to work with Drive Botswana. And the trip when exceedingly well. Everything was well organized, there were great activities planned, we had absolutely no snag or problem anywhere. They provided very detailed itinerary support and travel key app. And moreover, the kids had dedicated booklets to help identify the animals. We also had information books about the countries. And Phil was very reactive and helpful when we had minor changes or questions. We felt very secure and supported. Thank you for a fantastic trip!

We had a great adventure in Namibia. Three weeks travelling the country in our Bushlore Bush Camper. All went smoothly as planned by the Drive Botswana Team. The wildlife spotting was excellent. The vast landscapes were stunning, we thought we were on Mars at some points! The people we met were all friendly and helpful. All the campsites were good, and the bush camper worked a treat. The Bush Lapa conversion is excellent – better than all the other camper variants we saw on the road.

All in all, a great trip. It was different our Botswana trip in 2022 (which was excellent) but equally as enjoyable. A big thank you to Andy and the team for organising everything.

Recently went on a trip through Namibia and Botswana organised by Phil. Would highly recommend this company, everything was so well organised and ran so smoothly (from pick ups and transfers to lodge and campsite bookings). Directions were extremely detailed and we loved ticking off the animals we saw in the booklets! Couldn’t recommend this company more!

We did a 3 1/2 week self drive organised by Andy and the team which was brilliant.

I had done a huge amount of research but I didn’t need to as their suggested itineraries were spot on.

We discussed lots of options and changed our mind a few times but the customer service and personal touch was fantastic to bring home our dream honeymoon.
We organised a vehicle and all Accomodation through drive, Andy provided a minute by minute itinerary which was perfect.
Even being on a call for any queries or issues. They assisted us in changing our accommodations when my partner got sick. Even when our flights changed at the last minute, Andy negotiated with car rental company for us to leave the car at the hotel, true 5 star customer service!

Thanks Andy and the team for making our dream trip even better than we dreamt it could be. And we can’t wait to come back!

We had a 2 weeks self drive trip to Botswana (4 adults). The planning was just perfect, as well as all the suggestions. Phil was very patient with all my question, my change of plans and all the details. The driving instructions were very useful, we were always aware of where to find food and fuel. Besides booking our car and our camping sites Drive Botswana has suggested local experiences with their local partners which were wonderful. I would definitely recommend booking a self drive experience with them!

Really well organised itinerary covering all the areas of Botswana and Namibia we wanted to visit. The driving instructions were excellent and definitely required when going off road. Beautiful wildlife, amazing scenery and stunning lodges. I would recommend DriveBotswana every time.

We have made a 9 days trip from Kasane to Maun. And before....we spent a night in Victoria Falls where we had a challenging white water rafting experince

Phil from Drive Botswana did an excellent job communicating and coordinating with us before and during our trip, was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and accomodating prior to our trip with questions I had and/or changes I wanted to make.. The trip was wonderful!! Phil made all the campground and lodging arrangements for us, clued us in on what to expect at border crossing, estimated gasoline costs, border crossing fees and entry fees to parks, etc. Drive Botswana also provided nice detailed instructions on how to navigate from one location to another. Was really impressed with services provided by Drive Botswana. We spent 46 days and drove 6,000 miles (10,000 km) in South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia (June 2 - July 17, 2024). Some rough roads but manageable. We saw lions (chasing Kudu and Impala), leopards, cheetah, wild dogs, bat eared fox, hyenas , white and black rhino, and much more. If planning a trip to southern Africa, I highly recommend working with Drive Botswana - they are very professional, helpful and knowledgeable.

Very easy to book. Drive Botswana suggested a fantastic itinerary and were very helpful in making some small changes we wanted. The trip was fabulous and all the arrangements spot on. The vehicle and supplier were top notch and all the accommodation lodges and camp sites we stayed in great. The pre-booked activities were awesome and all arrangements had been made perfectly. A fantastic trip to a wonderful country, and everything was well planned and explained by Drive Botswana and their agents.

Drive Botswana provided a great service, arranged a fantastic itinerary and the service providers used were all top notch. The interaction to derive the itinerary was very useful to understand the possibilities. The safari camping truck from Bushlore was very well equipped and in very good condition. The campsites, lodges and other accommodation were very varied, with each place offering something different, from the basic to the luxurious. The excursions provided interesting insights into the areas visited. The administration was seamless, payment straightforward and the guide and trip notes were excellent. We met one family on our trip who had used Drive Botswana several times and now we know why. Faultless.

It is the second time we plan a trip to Africa with Drive Botswana. The first time was 8 years ago for our honeymoon and it was so great that we decided to ask their support for our trip to Namibia this summer. We confirm everything was excellent: the trip was well planned, reservations managed perfectly, driving instructions were really precise (you do not even need a GPS!), communication was always smooth and the app with the online itinerary is definitely a plus! We highly recommend Drive Botswana.

Back in Norway again after our 3rd trip organized by Drive Botswana - and a great adventure again. This time we had the whole family with us - 15 people ageing from 21 months too 66 years of age in 4 vehicles - exploring in Botswana and Zimbabwe. A lot of fantastic moments with animal viewing and nights around the campfire. Game drives in Nokanyana Camp, evening cruise from Kasane, Victoria Falls and our stay at Kapula in Hwange are the highlights of the trip.
As always well organized and a fantastic service in preperations of the trip.

We have used Drive Botswana for 2 holidays and both have been outstanding experiences. Phil puts together a trip taking your preferences into consideration. Thorough research of the routes and the accommodations means you are usually sad to leave the place you are staying but looking forward to finding out what is next on the route. Routes and timings are accurate and this allows you to relax and enjoy the driving as much as the places you visit.

Phil organized a fantastic trip for us (5 adults 1 kid). He was very helpful and patient during the planning stage; we had so many questions and answered them all.
Our itinerary included Maun, Deception Valley Lodge, Boteti River Camp, Planet Baobab, Elephant Sands, Kasane (incl. a day trip to the Victoria Falls), Chobe, Ghoha Hills (Savuti) , and finally Nokanyana (Mababe).
We saw all the animals that we had hoped for, even a leopard and a pack of African Wild Dogs.
