Beware, company selling unavailable items
Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. I placed an order for a portable air conditioner while it was showing as in stock with next-day delivery. My payment was taken, I received an order confirmation, and even a few hours later, a DPD shipment notification, leading me to believe the order had been allocated.
Based on that, I purchased a compatible window sealing kit, only to be told shortly afterwards that the air conditioner was actually out of stock and my order had been cancelled. I was advised no further stock would be available until next year.
I emailed to explain that I was now out of pocket because I had relied on the shipment notification, but I never received a response. My refund has also remained pending, meaning I am unable to purchase an alternative unit during the hottest weather of the year.
I appreciate mistakes can happen, but accepting orders for unavailable stock, creating a courier consignment, and then cancelling the order is extremely poor. Even worse, no acknowledgement by the company after informing them that I had purchased additional items for the machine and was now out of pocket. Would not recommend.

Order delivery overdue......
Edit: unit arrived on saturday 27th.
Ordered an air con unit on Saturday 20th June with next day delivery. Due Tuesday (given that I ordered at the weekend). It doesn't arrive, but delivery can be up to 10pm. Tried to phone both of their numbers but answerphone just says they are not taking calls and to email. So I email. Automated reply saying they can take up to 72 hours to reply. DPD email to say there is a delay. Its now Thursday and still no delivery. Airconcentre did email today to say that DPD had a backlog and it should now be delivered Friday. Communication seems to have been a problem all around here. No one seems to be letting each other know what's going on, and airconcentre deciding not to take phone calls exacerbated the problem. I have cancelled arrangements for what will be the third day tomorrow. I have had better from this company. Very disappointing.

Competitive price, efficient delivery but over promised
Straight forward purchase of an air con I couldn’t find anywhere else. Competitive price as well. I’m not giving 5 stars because I was promised next day delivery if ordering by 10 pm (which I did). I received the day after. Although this wasn’t exactly a problem, I think you over promised unnecessarily.

I still haven't received an order that…
I still haven't received an order that was dispatched Monday. I have had multiple promises of emails following up the order but have had none. The past 2 days NO ONE is answering the phone! Looking at most of the reviews for this company they look fake. I am worried have been scammed out of £620. Of course, this negative review will be buried under more fake reviews!

Pulling customers legs
This should be a professional company selling aircon units? To my experience, the answer is NO.
I purchased on 17th June a portable unit for £619 thinking of getting one just before the heatwave currently in the UK. I received the unit the following day (left in the lobby because, according to their T&C they do not take ‘responsibilities’ in bringing a very heavy item to the flat’s front door). Once collected I found out that the unit was a return because the box base was missing its original packing. The base was the polyester base all wrapped up with brown packing tape. One of the 4 straps was missing. On top of it, when unpacked, the screws that should fix the window panel were missing and part of the plastic grill where the duc/tube is attached was broken.
Item received at 8:30AM, on the phone at 9AM advising issue and sending email with photos.
I requested a collection and refund. But first I had to wait to receive new straps via post to secure the box. Another 3 days gone. After that I had to wait another day before having the collection booked. We are already in the middle of the heatwave with me without aircon.
The collection is arranged for the 24th where I am forced to carry a 37kg unit from the 5th floor to the lobby, because, again, the courier T&C refuses to collect it from my front door. Couriers are professional people that have industrial/heavy duty trolleys and would not have any issue at all to collect from a front door in a building with a lift. But no.
So I specifically gave instructions (accepted by the customer services) to advise in advance once they are near my address as I do not want to leave a pricy item unattended in the lobby, without considering the physical strain of moving such heavy item. An aircon in the middle of a heatwave left unattended is not wise. I was told that the couriers are aware of these issues, they would have called in advance and waited in the lobby for the customer to bring the unit. I wated at home all day, from 9am to 5pm, in the scorching heat while I should have been nice and comfortable with air con at work but nobody came, no calls, no advising, nothing! I tried to call the company but now they do not even take calls!! ‘Send an email’ the recording message says.
Customers completely cut out with no possibility of having support, help and an explanation of their failures. And still, I am again in the middle of a heatwave trying to have my money back because I am short and cannot buy another aircon without having my refund. God knows when and if they are going to answer and I am stuck here with no money and a massive 37kg faulty and recycled unit that has to be collected. I can understand that with what is going on with the weather these days they might be extremely busy, but this is not how to treat a customer that has been like ‘cheated’ with a faulty someone else return. I deserves to be professionally assisted. My experience can only making me saying that the Ari Con Centre is a disgrace. I will contact the BBC Rip Off Britain because to cut out customers who need support is pulling their legs. I have to go to work! I cannot afford to stay at home in the heat waiting for them every day hoping they will come to collect a faulty recycled unit!!

The unit was collected and delivered by a third-party courier, and while we always raise issues with them when things go wrong, we unfortunately don't have control over their collection processes or policies. For health and safety reasons, collections from flats are often carried out from the building entrance rather than individual apartments. We appreciate this isn't ideal, especially with a heavier item.
Regarding the return, replacement straps had to be sent before the collection could be arranged to ensure the unit could be transported safely. Once these were delivered, we booked the collection as quickly as possible. We're very sorry the courier then failed to attend as scheduled. We have raised this directly with them and have been actively chasing for an update. While we're continuing to respond to your emails, we're unfortunately waiting on the courier to action the collection before we can move things forward.
We completely understand how important it is to get this resolved, especially during the heatwave. At the same time, we're experiencing an exceptionally high volume of enquiries, and we're doing our best to support every customer as quickly and fairly as possible. While we appreciate your urgency, we also have to ensure all customers receive the same level of care and attention.
We're also sorry the unit wasn't in the condition you expected on arrival. This certainly wasn't intentional, and we would never knowingly send a faulty product. We understand your frustration and appreciate your patience while we continue working with the courier to resolve this as quickly as possible.

I ordered from Air Con Centre on Saturday expecting next working day delivery, assuming this would be Monday or possibly Tuesday if there were delays. When I hadn’t heard anything by Monday, I emailed for an update but received no response. I called on Tuesday and was told they would investigate and get back to me, and later found out the item was actually out of stock. On Wednesday I was informed by email that the item had finally been dispatched, meaning delivery would be at least another two days. Five days later I am still waiting for the item. Overall, I feel communication was poor and the issue only came to light because I chased it, otherwise it may have gone unnoticed. I would rate the experience three stars due to the delays and lack of proactive updates.
