I purchased a library-ladder from AKD. There was a lengthy wait as the item was made, and shipped from, abroad. I was kept informed at every stage by Isobel, who I cannot praise or recommend highly enough for her friendly and professional attention. I was even able to chart the course of the ship carrying my item! As for the piece itself, it is wonderfully made and exactly what I wanted. Thank you AKD -- and thank you, again, Isobel.

I spent some time searching for a TV cabinet that would compliment an existing piece of furniture and the style we were redecorating in. Isobel was always very helpful regarding swatches and information regarding completion and delivery times for made to order item. We are so glad we went ahead and ordered from AKD it was worth the wait for shipping times. The cabinet was exactly as we expected, colour matched and excellent workmanship. I'm sure we will be enjoying it for many years. We were kept informed all along the process and their carriers were also efficient. Once again thank you Isobel and all your team.

We searched everywhere for a period king size bed & we found this at AKD furniture. I cannot recommend this company enough. From the initial enquiries, the team were so helpful, guided us & answered all questions. Samples sent out to choose colour. Was emphasised at the onset it is a long delivery time (Nov-April), but we wasn’t in a rush & so worth the wait. Well made, solid, beautiful & exactly as sold. Extremely happy with the bed & would buy from them again.

It took longer than expected but it was worthwhile. A stunning chair that way exceeded expectations. And AKD stayed in touch throughout to explain the delay. Delighted with the purchase

I bought a large bespoke corner bookcase for my library. From discussing initial thoughts, to final drawings they were very helpful and professional. Yes build/delivery was slow but i was prepared for that (6 months). But the finished product is truly beautiful. The wood is lovely and the design even better. Some lovely details I didnt expect. All in all the nicest furniture i have ever bought. And very reasonably priced. Less that half the quotes i got for someone to build me library shelves but just as good, or probably better. Even the delivery people were wonderful.

Andy and Isobel were a pleasure to deal with and our 2 Large Tables look Fab. We are delighted with them thank you so much.

I ordered a hallway stand and monks bench. Told from the outset that delivery would be several months away, but I was prepared to wait and was kept informed of progress throughout. The furniture arrived this week and they’re both exquisite and good value for such high quality craftsmanship. Would highly recommend AKD, and hope to buy more pieces from them in the future.

I am absolutely thrilled with my bedroom furniture. Delivery was delayed, but it was so worth the wait. Pieces had a barley twist added as per my instructions, so that they could match existing furniture & they are perfect. Will definitely be much "go to" company, if I need furniture going forward.

I ordered a 10 seater Victorian dining table with specific and exacting measurements for height, length and width. Andy helped me with the details and produced a number of drawings until we agreed on the final specification. He was incredibly attentive, professional and patient during this time. I was kept informed during the long lead time to delivery and it arrived exactly when it was due. The table is beautiful. A rich light mahogany colour with extendable leaves and traditional legs. It looks fantastic and we’re really pleased with it and the whole process. Thank you to Andy and Isobel.

We were warned that our order for small rolltop desk would take a good few weeks to be completed but we were kept imformed of it's progress. It arrived on Saturday and we are delighted with it. Very well made and looks beautiful. It was very well packaged so in absolutely perfect condition when we unwrapped it.

I ordered a bespoke chest of drawers to both match other bedroom furniture we had and fit the small space available, as I could not obtain this from the company I'd originally had the bedroom furniture from. AKD Furniture advised the likely delivery time from their Asian supplier and kept us informed about the delays due to known issues in the Red Sea which was reassuring. It arrived this week and has been well worth the wait as the quality and finish are superb. I couldn’t be more pleased with it.

I ordered a set of library steps from this company and they provided a great service, keeping me updated throughout and when the item came I was very pleased with it - fabulous quality and a decent price.

When we first began our search for bedroom reproduction furniture we visited the showroom of one of AKD’s competitors and unfortunately their range, although beautiful, didn’t come in the dimensions that we were looking for. In contrast, AKD could source their on-line brochure items in our modified dimensions for only a modest increase in price, using their ‘Bespoke’ service.

AKD were very helpful with advice and wood samples, plus, very clear on the timescales for manufacture in their Asia factory to shipping to the UK and we were quite happy with the wait-time which we thought was totally reasonable.

Communication and updates during our wait for delivery were very useful and essentially the furniture was ready for delivery on the dates they had forecast when we placed the order.

With delivery, their partner (Pinnacle Storage Solutions) was excellent, with real-time tracking and very polite and the professional delivery staff – altogether so much better than some other delivery companies!

Upon receipt, we found our furniture to be comprehensively wrapped and once unpacked we were hugely impressed with the quality and weight of the items as well as the skill of the craftsmen in incorporating our measurements whilst still maintaining the beautiful proportions and appearance of the standard design.

Would we use AKD again? Yes, definitely.

I ordered a custom-sized desk, and I couldn’t be happier with the finished product. The quality is outstanding, with incredible attention to detail and reflects the pictures. The communication throughout the process was excellent, keeping me informed every step of the way. Highly recommend – the craftsmanship and uniqueness of their products make them a standout choice! Also if you opt for a custom size they are brilliant in their designing and the price is very reasonable for what it is

Beautiful sturdy cross back chairs. Very comfortable and well-packaged. A 6 month wait after my order but much of that was the journey around Africa! They are worth the wait.

I purchased a colonial style bookcase from AKD Furniture. The company were very helpful from the get-go, sending me free samples, to choose my preferred wood and making me aware of the time it would take to make and deliver the piece in question. They even provided me with a tracking link, to the ship carrying my item.

The piece itself is beautiful; the best piece of furniture I've ever owned. I highly recommend AKD Furniture, if you want furnishings worthy of a stately home.
