Our trip couldn't have been more wonderful! Everything was so well planned out, to the smallest detail. I was never left hanging or left wondering what was going on. I would recommend this service to anyone!

This is the second time I have used Explore Tours and they have only shown complete professionalism and go beyond to make sure our vacation is exactly how we hoped. All the activities and connections are seamless and comfortable, with a level of luxury.

June 2018 was our third trip to Alaska planned with Explore Tours. Each time we found the staff to be knowledgeable, professional, flexible, and timely. Our first two trips were exactly what we wanted and went without a hitch. Our third trip was also exactly what we wanted however we had a hitch on the first leg of our adventure, a hitch which was promptly solved by the Explore Tour staff. Specifically, when we arrive in Anchorage, we discovered our flight to Valdez was cancelled due to weather. We called Explore Tours and told them the situation. They told us they would call back within 15 minutes. They did call back within 15 minutes after they had made an Anchorage hotel reservation for us for the night, canceled our first night's hotel reservation in Valdez and confirmed the 2nd and 3rd nights' stay, and changed our glacier cruise reservation to a day later. They gave us all of this information via telephone and followed up with an email. We were impressed with their prompt, thorough, friendly and professional response. We will return to Alaska again and when we decide to do so, we will use Explore Tours. We recommend them highly.

I have used Explore Tours every time I have traveled to Alaska and have always been extremely satisfied. I highly recommend them.

Great trip! They planned everything for us, all we had to do is show up and enjoy the trip!

We had several requests and changes to initial itinerary that were handled very well. Also additional changes requested by either Vendor or Explore tours which were unexpected, even up to a week from start of tour still went well. Everything worked like clockwork once there. All of the staff transfer's were very professional. We only had to change one reservation...the flight to Denali with a glacier landing. Our train earlier that day had an electrical fire with a 1 1/2 hour delay...lucky for us....as it was cloudy. We had to reschedule our flight for the next day. Our pilot joked about the two tiny puffy clouds in the sky that day and wore a short sleeve t-shirt at the top of the glacier landing we did on Ruth Glacier. We feel so blessed to have had excellent weather our whole trip. So for our trip to Denali we had 3 out of 3 days of sunshine and we could see the mountain!!! Thanks Explore Tours

We told our agent the things we wanted to do and see and Explore Tours provided us with several different options. Everything was laid out for us in minute detail and everything went very smoothly. We will definitely use them again and again.

Roberta did a fantastic job planning my small group adventure to Fairbanks and Chena Hot Springs. Everything worked out perfectly, even the Northern Lights made a debut during our stay. I will definitely refer other guests to Explore Tours for their Great North Adventures. Thank you!

Explore Tours interpreted perfectly our desires and produced for us a perfect program for the four days we spent in Nome and on Knik River Lodge. We have been very happy about content and service provided by Explore Tours.

We expected the cabin at Grizzly Bear Resort to have a kitchenette or at least a small fridge. It was really did not have anything extra then a hotel room. Love the Talkeetna Cabin and the Phantom fishing. The tour plan was great giving you time to drive to your next destination. Alaska was beautiful.

I booked a seven day 6 nights Alaskan tour package and I was not satisfied with the hotel accommodations Explore Tours booked for me and my husband . I booked my reservation with Ms. Kami Karp. I asked her if all the hotels I would be staying at had good accommodations because I didn’t want to stay in a bad or rundown hotel. She assured me that all the hotels were good hotels and my stay would be comfortable.

The Harbor 360 Hotel was a low budget hotel worthy of 1.5 stars. The furniture in the room was worn. The one elevator in the hotel was very slow. We had to use the stairs to leave and return to the room. My view was the parking lot.

The Denali Bluffs Hotel was also a 1.5 star budget hotel. The room was so tight that I had difficulty moving around without bumping into the furniture. The bathtub was dirty and the bathroom sink was stopped up. The television in my room had poor reception. Upon my request the hotel staff cleaned the bathtub. The plumber could not fix the sink and the electrician could not fix the TV. My room was finally changed after I asked for the manager. The room should have been cleaned and the plumbing should have been fixed before my arrival.

These two hotels should not have had 4 or 3.5 star ratings. We were led to believe these hotels had great accommodations and this was not the case.

I booked a 3 week tour of Alaska with Explore Tours. We had a few set backs which started with our arriving flight which couldn't land due to weather. Explore tours helped us out by shifting hotels and getting us back on track when we arrived a day late. Then, one week in I had a bad fall while hiking in Denali and broke my ankle. I needed surgery and a 2 day stay at a hospital in Fairbanks. Again, Roberta from Explore tours bailed us out with some rearrangements so that we could continue our trip after I got out. Overall, our Alaska experience wasn't what we expected, but the planning and accomodations were first rate, and Explore Tours emergency support was really there when we needed it. I would use them again.

They did a great job meeting all of our request. We only had one little time difference with a booking but everything else was great! I would definitely recommend this company to anyone. Our vacation was wonderful.

Timely pick up and leisurely and informative day tour from Anchorage to Seward. We were lucky to be the only guests so had a private day in a van with a very lovely and professional guide. She was most knowledgeable and catered the day to us.

My wife and I completed a 46-day Alaska trip adventure in July. This included 31 days in the state as well as driving to and from Alaska. The core of our journey was arranged by Explore Tours. They did an expert job with the overall planning and with many of the details. This included hotels, tours, several short airplane rides, and guidance on driving and sightseeing. Our enjoyment of the travel was enhanced by the planning and arrangements done by Explore Tours. As with any trip of this length, there were several glitches. I have been most pleased with the handling of these issues. Working with the good people at Explore Tours was a fine experience; I will use them again when I return to the great land of Alaska again.

We have used Explore Tours twice and will continue to use them. They helped me create the perfect itinerary each time. On the last trip we had some airline delays and once I called Explore Tours to let them know what was going on, they immediately called the airlines and made sure we were taken care of for the night and rearranged our itinerary. Because of their quick action our vacation was salvaged. All the staff I have worked with at Explore Tours are friendly, personable and very good at what they do. I can't say enough good about them.
