I've just discovered that I'm signed up to Alerts4U and that I'm paying £1:50 per Alert to a maximum of £4:50 per month. I don't know how I've been signed up to this site, nor how long. Don't forget to check your bank account as you might have been caught like me!!

Scanned a QR code for what I thought was a Menu in a café at the Downton store near Grantham. Within minutes I had 3 alerts at a cost of £1.50 each.
Blocked the number(or so I thought) but still receiving messages.
Complete scam, costs a small fortune and nothing to show for it.

Was signed up without my knowledge when I signed up for a Morrisons supermarket customer card.
Alerts service that charges you £1.50 every time it messages you and £1.50 when you unsubscribe using their instructions.

I have been scammed by this terrible organisation. I was simply registering for ITVX and from that they started sending unwanted premium rate SMS messages I did not ask for and do not want. Can someone not stop these fraudsters

I thought I was signing up to the Active Lambeth app. Instead I have inadvertently signed up for unwanted premium rate texts. These scammers have used all the buffer on my phone contract just before my holiday. They are scum. Can't something be done?

It would appear that while I was getting ASDA app that I may have inadvertantly signed up to premier sms alerts from Alerts4u. I received 3 sms messages costing me £3.75. I can see this has happened others. Please check your website Asda where customers sign up to your services. This can be a costly mistake. O2 advised as well.

QR code scam alert
I thought I was signing up for ITV+ and then found out I'd subscribed to Alerts4U. How does that even happen? Either the QR code app or the QR code on the TV has been hacked. I rang the customer contact phone number that was on the email and they said they would cancel and refund.. if I gave bank details or via PayPal!! Scary. Fortunately my mobile phone provider has wiped off the charge.

Just realised that I am being charged by this company. Now Changed the spend cap on my mobile account to zero.
Since I posted this message I have been in touch with the company and cancelled the subscription that I didn’t know I had subscribed to. As I am within the t/c have managed to get a refund from them.
