If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. My Alffie cert 3 in Business is a complete waste of time. I’ve previously worked in a business environment and this course is completely outdated and irrelevant. They also take ages to mark your work. Please don’t waste your time. I wish I hadn’t.

Alffie is really bad and should be put out of its misery, they sent 187 page workbook and when nearly done they said oops wrong one now 77 pages but you have to download with Microsoft and then the format is that bad it puts answers in different areas, my daughter was told she would have to repeat semester 1 3 months after she finished it then refused to recognise a module she completed and made her do another one that was put together by a fool, questions asked that weren't even in the module, shows how uneducated our education system is

Terrible work placement system and assistance. No recognition of theory work.

Absolutely shocking when it comes to supporting students in getting practical work. As there is limited support and with most aged care facilities offering their own training, it was impossible for my daughter to get work experience in aged care, even with the assistance of a job network agency.
Because she has no practical work, NONE of her theory work counts for anything. There will be no recognition of prior learning NOTHING.
They have people to contact to assist students in getting practical work but even when the student says they are struggling to find a placement after applying to 12 different agencies, alffie was of no assistance at all.
My daughter has wasted 6 months where she could have been working towards her career and spent the last term waiting for alffie to assist her or get in touch with the 8 different options we gave them details for to act on her behalf.
Now her only option would be to reenrol in the same course next semester with again, no guarantee of practical work.
I would AVOID alffie at all costs. They are unable to help, and ultimately put it down to the students lack of effort not their lack of support.
i would be interested to see how many people actually come out with a certificate after studying through alffie.
I have never delat with a more incompetent and dream shattering agency and now have a daughter with no certificate, no assistance and no recognition of her hard work.
Disgraceful. I have many certificates and have NEVER dealt with a training provider this poor.
Save yourself the effort and find a RTO who tries to assist their students, not get them to do work towards a certificate they cant complete. Perhaps try a traineeship instead.
Having a look at their rating its pretty safe to assume we aren't the only people who have had issues when dealing with alffie.

Alffie customer service staff went above and beyond.

Alffie customer service staff went above and beyond with my enquiry. Long story short, my enquiry did not just finish with a "no" but resulted in hard work and perseverance leading to IT fixing things in the background. They did not give up and fought hard for my satisfaction. 5 stars, easily!

Alffie threatens with 'Withdrawl Notice'. Oooohh, I'm scared.

For the 2nd time in 2 years, I have been lumbered with this incompetent Melbourne Insitution called Alffie. How they hold an RTO Certification, is beyond belief. My first course was Supply Chain Logistics. There was nothing in the course, that related to Logistics. (I have a strong Logistics background over 35 years) When I showed an Employer the "Certificate", that I was going to get, he laughed and said we don't recognise it nor Alffie.

The current course is Document Storage and Mgmt. Again there is nothing in this pointless course, that relates to anything, used by anyone in Logistics, let alone the course title. Alffie wouldn't know the difference between a controlled and uncontrolled document.

I got one question wrong in a Unit, so they told me to have another go. The problem was, I could not enter the answer in the field, as Alffie had locked it out, meaning I had to use a field above. However that field was for another question. I ended getting it wrong again. (who could of seen that coming) Alffie locked the Unit, saying I had to do a one on one with an Assessor. I told them it wasn't going to happen, I'm not a 5 year old.!! If the answer is wrong just ^#$*@! mark it as wrong. Not rocket science.!!!

Then 2 weeks later, the Unit is unlocked, marked as correct and Alffie is now sucking up. Too little too late.

The one good thing that has come out of all this for me anyway, is, I have kept screenshots of all Units that have been completed, sent in, sent back for assessment 'and' then submitted (by someone at Alffie) after I have saved and logged out. How does that happen.???

Even emails to Alffie, have revealed no legitimate answer, they simply reply, submit the Unit and we will let you know in 4 weeks.

Well Alffie, I have screenshots as I mentioned above and scans of all emails from your Staff. I have reported you to the RTO that handles all complaints from students. You will have their reply within 4 weeks.!!!

I have also done your online feedback, in the link you sent. Enjoy the read. I hope when you are unemployed very soon, your provider will place you in an Alffie course, so you can see how pointless, they really are.

Good bye and good riddance.

Assessor cannot or will not provide any…

Assessor cannot or will not provide any additional assistance. Two modules disappeared completely before I had accessed them, as well as many resource links being broken.
Zero flexibility with assessment tasks.
Spelling and grammatical errors throughout the course, poor quality graphics and use of disturbing AI images.
I could not complete many assessment questions due to insufficient or irrelevant resources.

Signed up and completed my online work…

Signed up and completed my online work for Cert 3 Logistics, but Alfie's efforts to find me a suitable place (or any place!) to be signed off on was pathetic and they acted only when I pushed them. I was living in a capital city as well, yet nothing eventuated, course was never completed, it just became too frustrating dealing with them. As long as they get their money up front, the rest was purely lip service. I'd give 0 stars if the option was available. Disgraceful.

The most painfully bad course…

The most painfully bad course experience I've ever had. They drip feed you the course work, meaning you can't do the course work in a way that suits you, you can only do what they let you do & when they let you do it. The questions are so painfully pointless & repetitive. You are constantly forced to go back and scroll through the coursework constantly to find the section they want you to pluck your answer from. The terrible interface making this really frustrating to do.

Half of the course is multiple choice questions that you can answer extremely quickly. The other half is written answers that will often force you to once again go back through all the learning material to try and find the appropriate section. The course is not actually teaching you anything, other than how to spot the relevant section of information in the coursework so you can get an answer.

It really feels they have deliberately gone to great lengths to not only drag the course out, but also make as many of the questions as tedious to answer as possible. Over & over again. I'm currently on my final assessment now, and can not wait to be done with this course for good. It's been brutal.

If you can avoid these courses, please do!

A wast of time and energy!

Was compelled to do the Retail Cert 3 as I am casually employed, awaiting a total hip replacement in Sept, 2023. Centrelink still treat you like trash and insist I either get full-time work (despite obvious physical limitations) so I was put into this course. The material is not relevant to what I actually do in retail - it seems to focus on Loyalty Programs and endless units of dealing with angry customers - over and over! It's designed for 18 to 21 year olds with a year ten school leavers certificate who want to get into retail?! I'm 64 and just do it for a couple of extra dollars. I had my career and it wasn't retail!

Absolutely dreadful

Absolutely dreadful! I undertook Cert III in Business and wish I'd never bothered. The course itself seems to have been written by 12-year-olds for 12-year-olds. The most inane, pointless questions and assessments. The interface is not user-friendly whatsoever; endless scrolling back and forth, up and down trying to locate information. I dread to think how much tax-payer money goes to this incompetent "education" organisation. One star given for the somewhat helpful staff (although even they struggled to navigate the system - yikes!)

I can't stress enough how terrible they are. It's been months since I finished my workbook and there's been absolutly no help with finding work placement. Any placement I've organised on my own has been ruined by them. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM

The assessors are very kind and help you when you do the booked phone assessments online. I’m caring for my disabled child and find the 30 hour week certificate 3 online courses invaluable as I can do them when she’s at school or in bed. Using my laptop to do each segment is so easy. The online videos and questions and general lesson material are very well done. These courses are accredited. You can choose aged care, disability care, business, retail. I’m doing business and after this is done in 6 weeks, I will ask to do a business (medical setting). Really enjoying it!

Poorly designed course materials that consist of multiple choice questions and stupid videos. There is no point to them and are basically useless and have no value. These courses are only designed to get you marked off as filling space. They certainly love to spam you even after you tell them to stop and then come the withdrawal threats.

It's alffie.com, so they're not even seeing this

The content of the course isn't relative and just seemed like most of it was there just to fill space. It was mostly about safety which usually gets covered at a staff induction.

The certificate is completely useless, no employer has ever recognised it and some have even made fun of it so now I'm ashamed to even add it to my resume.

If you're looking for a way to keep Centrelink off your back then Alffie courses are for you but if you're wanting to improve your career then don't waste your time with this cr@p

Absolutely devastated that I finally find my work placement and they withdrew my course. Due to inactivness. Did not help me with placement. It took so long for me to find placement and now I might no be able to do it. Now I have to wait for a call to see if they can help me. The lady on the phone was no help short and rude with me.
