Wake up Alffie

Communication with anything being followed threw is impossible with Alffie. Multiple emails and calls just to try and obtain a hard copy of attainment for semester 1 which i still dont have. Work placement is apparently at the end of semester 2 which is different than the student handbook suggest. After reading the reviews here i now feel i will be making an official complaint as this seems to be a "course going nowhere". No work placement at end of semester 2 you wont even get a certificate of attainment for that either. Waste of time in my opinion

It's a puppet of the corrupt Jobactive network, the course work is basically cartoons for kids, and then they start sending withdrawal warning threats. They also dob on you to your job provider. I've never heard of any TAFE or course provider stalk people and dib a dob because people don't want to complete the Alffie taxpayer funded course for 2 year Olds.
It's utter trash don't even know how they manage to keep milking government funds for nothing.

Cert 3 Hospitality & Tourism = Alfie

I studied a Cert 3 In Hospitality & Tourism part time for year & half because at the time I had previously lost employment during the pandemic ,it was recommended by my employment provider APM that I needed to participate in a course with Alfie . Because of the ridiculous lockdowns & mandates it took a little longer . I have already been had previous & many
years of experience in the hospitality industry as I currently employed by a local employer also . But I wanted to further my education in the tourism sector as hoping the certificate would help me with
with further travel & work . I completed the diploma course at the end of 2021...well the written side of it online anyway I Completed each assignment & practical assessments .
After Alfie Congratulating me on completing the course , they said because of Covid I needed to do the Prac side to complete the course . I gave Alfie a List of places , venues , employers of where I would like to do Prac work... I rang several times & contacted them.. their answer was That they would inform me and contact me when they have found me a placement , never received a Phone call from them still to date, assisting with finding me any Prac positions to do the work placement.. then the lockdown & mandates kicked in so it delayed ,my progress even further ...so i have contacted them again in Feb 2022 and was then told by Alfie member its up to me to seek the employers to do the practical work to be able to gain my certificate .Now they have told me that I need a working with children's Check , I went to the post office to get the working with children's check form for them to inform me to gain the working with children's certification It will have to have to completed by Alfie ( place of study or employment or course ) this needs to fill it out. My employment provider emailed & scanned document to them , no reply . Omg this is so wrong ,even the lack of communication & following up with their students . This is so frustrating for myself as I dedicated many hours of my time as so have many others, by seeing their complaints on their reviews . I think this company needs to be reported to the ombudsman ..I don't think they should be getting away with deflating peoples hopes & dreams & misleading people who are trying so hard to better themselves & improving their career & thinking they will be rewarded by gaining a diploma Certificate in this course .

Garbage

Garbage! JobActive provider enrolled my in this course. Course material is pointless, and useless. Nobody, no employer asks for it, there is no way I put this on my resume. Answered every question with the utmost level of stupidity. Managed to attain enployment before completing the course, and dumped them.

They continued to spam my email and phone (sms), despite telling them to stop. I've set up an email rule at the ISP level, automatically deleting emails from the alffie domain, and blocked their sms on my mobile.

Don't study with them, they don't deliver.

I went through the course for Cert 3 in Community Services, whilst in lockdown in Melbourne. Coming up to finishing now and they are nit picking with the marking. Up until now, I sailed through the course, but now, I'm not getting the certificate granted to me because they are saying an answer I gave to a question is wrong and no matter how I change it, it's still wrong, one day it's too detailed, they want bullet point and the next day its too short, can I expand? I think they sold many of these crappy courses during lockdown and there is no way they can provide work placements, so now they are going to fail a whole bunch of people so they don't have to deliver on their promises. By the way I have 2 Uni degrees, so it's not a matter of smarts. This company is a scam, if you legitimately want to get a Cert III don't go through them.

Hi can you change name to alffie.com not Alfie.com

Hi, I cannot contact your organisation because there's no actual way to contact trustpilot, so if you happen to read this, please either delete alfie.com and update it to reflect the reviews on alffie.com

Alffie.com is a training organisation in Melbourne Australia hosted online in Australia, and the reviews are not pertaining to the link above but to some random site named Alfie.com, I have no idea if it's a mistake, while I'm aware alffie.com does not know about the ratings on this site and it does not help anyone, rather those frustrated.

Those frustrated may have appeared to comment here assuming the site actually reflects the course but it does not because the training organisation really never signed up with your community as a business.

Thanks trust pilot team for investigating.

1.6 months and still waiting for work placement

I'm not here to discredit a company, I would like every training organisation to meet the commitments in their vision message, but Alfie have really lost the ball on this one.

I finished the course in December 2020 community service certificate 3, Hoping some training would help me enter the community sector, I obtained a police check, and child check, and as of 2021 the requirements for vaccinated people to be vaccinated I held off, but was double vaccinated eventually, as I finished the assignments back in December 2020 a man on the phone said you're allocated to high priority work placement and we will find 5 within your area, my work placement was in limbo since February, then may 2021, then june I called them up over 11 times, most would say: the work placement coordinator will get back to you, never once was I ever called back. After Sydney went out of lockdown they requested I obtain a NDIS check, I spoke to them and they notified me that the requirements were for November 2021.

As of now the course sits in limbo, while the employees sit at home relaxed improving their opportunity towards finding a different job when they decide to leave.

I want to pass this course, not because of the name Alfie but because it's accredited and I want to use the creditation from this course to enter into the community sector in any way or form.

But I noticed company's will hire people now even with out warehouse certificate, retail certificate ect, but community service is compulsory work placement that's the only reason I chose to do it.

Will do tafe at any opportunity I get.

Waste of Time

Some of the questions asked in these courses are stupid and pointless. The system does not allow you to move onto other questions in the sections if you're having trouble answering them until you answer all the questions on that page. Alffie courses are the only online courses that the Federal Liberal Government makes you do as Work For The Dole if you are unemployed. This is probably because one of their ministers or someone in their family or friends is making money every time a jobseeker is forced to sign up for an Alffie course. Corruption at it's finest.

Got pressured into doing a Cert 3 in…

Got pressured into doing a Cert 3 in logistics from Maxima. Supposed to be 6 months online but once a week I can complete the module in about 1.5 hrs. To be honest it seems like it's been designed by a 15 year old to get another 15 year old a job in a warehouse. It's absolute rubbish. Only consists of multiple choice questions and daft videos.i would be fuming if I paid for this . But maxima and ALFIE seem to think its kosher. I'm 57 . It's a joke

Scam training institute.

Don't waste your time with their courses. They seem to exist purely to line the pockets of those that keep you in the course and the certificates aren't taken very seriously by a lot of organisations. The same questions will be re-worded throughout different units. There's not much to gain or learn but you will certainly lose time.

Awful system awful communication.

Currently working on my second certificate. First one biggest issue they asked me to get a police certificate many months too early for work placement so by the time it was actually required they wanted another more up to date one so they wasted my $50.

Second one I had a couple revisions. The comments made on the "wrong" comments would disappear thinking you retyped your answer. Never had that as many of the questions primary school children could answer. Person who checked my work barely read my answers properly. Sure seems like the person had a personal grudge against me or has some unsorted personal issues they closed until later date not yet satisfactory. I sent a message and got a response from "Scott Assessment Manager" and even they didn't answer my questions and never got back to me when I asked them to answer the questions.

Nothing but DRAIN on the Australian Taxation system!!!

Completed a Cert III in Logistics. Was horrified at the number of spelling, grammatical errors, nonsensical case studies catering to imbeciles. It was an online course, but EVERY time I sent an email asking simple, specific questions, they wasted my time insisting I telephone them to ask (which I couldn't do as I was caring for an elderly parent). When you do an ONLINE course ... you'd think they'd have provision to communicate ... errr ... ONLINE!

TERRIBLE customer service ... and complaints went NOWHERE! When I responded to their emails by telling them I can't call during business hours and asked them just to respond to my simple email ... they would REPEATEDLY tell me to call them!!! Ugh!!! It was ridiculous! I could ask them simple, specific questions that simply required a yes or not answer ... and STILL ... was asked to ring!!!

These guys are just a money making mob who seem to be in existence purely to profit from tax payers ... because their courses are predominantly for the unemployed ... for people who are forced to either do a course through alffie ... or work for the dole!

They make TONNES of easy money through the tax system ... yet do NOTHING to actually provide a quality educational experience.

SO many errors throughout the course ... it was like a 7 year old compiled the course content! The questions were asinine ... and so basic ... you'd have to be a vegetable to get them wrong!

TERRIBLE ... regrettable experience! Would NEVER recommend them!!!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!
