So even though they did huge mistake and lost my package, they just claimed that they didn’t receive it and stopped answering my calls my mails , no contact way at all ,even though I provided proofs thats they still have the package they stopped answering and refused to send me money back and obviously the shoes , do not trust these people they are thieves with a license i also read the same stories all over the internet, its their thing guys , its a 100% scam , DO NOT USE THEIR ITALIAN SITE THEY ARE SCAMMERS

I am surprised at the appallingly poor client service (email communication is useless) and return handling. The return has not been paid for over a month already. This leaves impression that the company is going bust. It is a shame since the shoes themselves are very nice and I am happy with the purchas. If buying from this company again at all then only from their distributors not directly.

Haven't been refunded for return
Sent my trainers back for full refund over a month ago which cost me a staggering £14 at the post office. Still haven't received my refund. No correspondence to even say they had received them. £140 I am owed!!

Shoes not delivered, customer care doesn´t answer
I ordered 2pair of shoes. I got an email of UPS that they should be delivered. Impossible, because nobody was at home. I complained by UPS and I contacted Altra.
Now, more than 1 mont later,I still didn’t receive an answer of Altra. I phone them, they just ask me to wait. That’s all they can do...
It wasa bit cheaper instead og going to a shop, but now I lost €253 and didn’t receive anything.
Do not buy through altra website - the exchange process is messy
I don't have that much money. I decided to splash out on a pair of Altra running shoes online. Over a month ago, I purchased my pair and promptly requested an exchange online (size too big) which was granted. Since then, the exchange process has been held up. I've been calling Customer Services and sending emails a couple of times a week to understand what is holding things up. My emails are outright ignored. My conversations are nonsensical.
Turns out, Altra thought they had informed customers where to ship the shoes back, but they hadn't. The shipping information was nowhere to be found.
Anyway, I've got hold of the shipping address today. It took 5 calls and one email to get them to give me the address. But now I don't trust their process. I'm dreading they will lose track of the shoes and I'll get stiffed. Or spend hours explaining, proving, pleading.
Not looking forward to the next leg of the journey.
Purchased Altra Olympus 5.0 Hike Mid…
Purchased Altra Olympus 5.0 Hike Mid GTX Mens Shoes for the Overland Track, did 4 hr hike and 12 x 7ks wearing in on suburban path. The sole has 8 soft treads of which the 2 at the heel of the shoe is already worn with the worn area extending to between both treads. I contacted Wildfire for warranty and they declined claim. I then went direct to Altra and had to follow up twice before response. They claim 'does not affect the performance of the shoe nor does it affect the longevity'. It was too much a risk to do the multi day hike with inferior soles. so I bought Merrill MOAB and their soles showed no wear and tear. Waste of $379, very disappointed in the quality of the shoe and getting a response from Altra. Save your money and buy another brand.
No refund 4 months after return
I ordered from the company in July, but unfortunately the shoes were slightly too small so I wanted to return and get another size. I sent the return back, and initially was told they couldn’t find the return. I had to do an investigation with Royal Mail as Altra kept insisting the return hadn’t been received.
After sending further proof I got from Royal Mail (I had already sent proof of postage), they miraculously found the package and said they would refund me. Since then, there have probably been 80 emails back and forth of me asking where my refund is, either to be told it is still processing or to be completely ignored.
I will never ever order from this website again, and wouldn’t recommend anyone to do so. I specifically spoke with Margherita and Beatrice at their customer service, both of whom have not helped me with this issue at all.
Please don’t order from here, it feels like it is borderline a scam.

I placed an order on the 30/10/23, UPS had the wrong address (not sure how) so now I’ve been waiting for them to reschedule for the last 7 days. The customer support is seriously shocking, I wish I had read the reviews first. I was really excited about trying the brand for the first time , making a switch from Nike. But so far the service has been awful and I’m still not sure when i will receive the shoes. And they can’t issue a refund until the shoes are back with ALTRA, so im stuck.
Buy from shop in the UK, not from the Altra website
I like Altra trainers, but make sure if ordering from the UK you order from a shop in the UK that stocks Altra trainers. Do not order from their site!
They get shipped from Italy and the returns are an absolute nightmare. They actually received my return on 9 Oct and I did not get my refund until 2 Nov… what are they playing at?
Just look at the other reviews, they must be losing customers fast.
Comfy shoe, let down by poor quality and awful customer service
Bought a pair of Torin 7 which were comfy shoes but the quality just isn't there. Several holes in the uppers after less than 50km and the brand logo was peeling! Customer service finally accepted the warranty claim after almost a month of chasing but no sign of the refund they said would take 4 working days, 10+ days later. Customer service is super slow. I have decided not to buy further Altra shoes or products in the future as a result. Such a shame.
Disappointingly flimsy and bad for the planet
Well – I’d taken photos of my Lone Peak all weather boots to send to Altra, but it seems from these reviews that there’s not much point bothering.
I returned my first pair to the (UK) shop after around five outings because they were leaking and splitting between the nylon upper and the plastic welt – the shop owner said “that’s rubbish” – and arranged for replacements. That was in July 2022. Altra might say that was a LONG, LONG time ago, but the new ones have been only lightly worn because I spent much of the intervening period waiting for a hip replacement – and you don’t do much hiking in those circumstances. However there are now holes at the bend point through to the Goretex. Soon they’ll be leaking – and then what?
Are we supposed to replace Altras every few outings because they are made of such flimsy materials?
WHAT AN ECOLOGICAL DISGRACE from a company with a website which says “This planet is our racecourse. Our trail. Ours to explore. It’s where we live, breathe, run and move. And who we are? If I could give this company no stars at all I would. Absolutely do not order from this company if you ever wish to see your money again. I returned an item on the 16th August. I was then repeatedly told, until the 2nd October that my return had not been received. It was only when I followed up with the shipping company that I was contacted to inform me the item had been received and a refund would be processed within 14 days. However, NO REFUND has yet been processed despite being almost a month since I was advised the refund would be processed. When I followed up I was told there was an error processing the transaction and I now get absolutely no response to my emails. I have now left this matter in the hands of my bank in the vain hope I will get my £175 back one way or another. Absolute scammers!
Shoes with defect, no return
I bought two shoes from the EU website, one came with one defect, and the other was the wrong size, I tried to return both from Ireland, and paid 20 euros to return each one of them via AnPost, one was returned successfully, the other (the one with defect) for some reason unknown never reached the destiny and it was returned to me, lost in total 150 Euros, lesson learned, ALWAYS check what is the return method, it is an easy and trustworthy one, is better to pay 50 euros more and buy from a good website.

I have previously bought four pairs of shoes from Altrarunning.eu. I purchased a fifth pair, they were too big. The return cost to Italy was £80. The shoes cost me £150. The customer service is non-existent. I have emailed 5 times and tried to telephone. The customer service phone number goes to an answer phone. I am now stuck with a pair of shoes that are too big and am £150 out of pocket. Beware - do not use this company.
Inferior product - no support
Bought Torin 7s online in June 23. Fit was fine, however the shoes started to lose form and disintegrate, with the heels on both tearing, almost immediately. I contacted Altra customer service and was asked to provide photos and receipt, which I submitted. Note the shoes had less than 30 miles on them. Within 5 minutes my return request was denied, with their diagnosis being “normal wear and tear due to heel slippage”. Right - in two months with minimal mileage. I now see other reviews mentioning issues with heel disintegration - I wish I had seen them prior. Now I’m out 150US with useless shoes. Not worth the risk in my opinion.

I bought a pair of shoes following the sizing guide, even got 1 number bigger than my usual shoes, and they came uo too small.
I was aware that I had to pay for the return, but there is no return offered, you have to search for a delivery service yourself, and they are located in Italy, so it would have to be international shipping, so about 30-40€ depending where you are.
Huge letdown :(
