AVOID AVOID!
AVOID AVOID!! Literally the worst company in the world. Do not use them!! I am a tourist travelling to Australia, and when I setup my esim, it asked me every single piece of information about me ever and forced me to download apps. It made me verify my passport and ID which didn't even work it just kept saying failed. Their customer support number or email doesn't work at all!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Dont go near them !
l had been transferred to amaysim , after a short period of time l was no longer even getting 4g , it went down to 4g lite , even though l paid for 5g , it wouldnt allow the internet to work and caused massive problems when getting e-scripts filled , it was just one problem after another, l had paid 6mths in advance , to find out that even though l cut service one week later, l could not get any refund. l was tired of dutifully paying for non service .
These people are not worth even talking to , the service is non existent , their a bunch of crooks... dont go near them , you think your saving , but its ludicrous with the level of reception
Biggest scam
Biggest scam. Impossible to activate the card, and i try to contact them they don't answer the phone. What a waste
Awful. Make it impossible to port to others
First plan jumps from $15 to $25. When we try to port won't let us as they want to keep number unless we buy new sim to approve transfer.
Very frustrating dealing with then. Talked to 3 people to resolve the issue none interested in helping.
Scam offer. Worked ok in Australia but not in NZ
Worked ok in Australia but not in NZ. The description of roaming is just deliberately misleading. Roaming is NOT included. Amayasim were for me, an expensive waste of time. Avoid

To speak to anyone at Amaysim ia appalling this time I waited 52 minutes and still spoke to no one and this happens too often had enough with Amaysim. It's goodbye from me.
Be careful promises to look after you…
Be careful promises to look after you then change your monthly plan to be one of the most expensive and tell you it's going up next month. Don't be fooled by them. And if you want to keep your banked data you can't change plans. It's deliberate has to be.

Amaysim was OK for a while but when I needed to change my number they were a nightmare. Their technical support was reasonable but when my new E-sim wouldn't work, it took 3 days for them to work out the issue needed to be referred to a senior technician. They finally contacted me after 3 more days and the fix they provided didn't work either. Another 3 days later by which time I was so frustrated I had moved on to another provider.
No help with hacked Sim
I’ve been with Amaysim for more than 10 years. Just had my phone hacked and my Sim turned into an eSIM. Nightmare trying to block the phone number as my email hacked as well. In the end, after hours on the phone I went to a big retailer and paid to retrieve my phone number. Despite several ‘escalations’ the ID team never contacted me to help rectify the situation.

10+ years of happy experience…
In the over 10 years I have been very happy with my mobile service from Amaysim. Once in awile, there has been some minor issues, as is from any company, but customer service has always resolved them. Such as IF for what ever reason my payment does not go through, even though I pay with the same credit card on file yet I can not simply reactivate that same credit card. I have to readd it. A minor yet annoying thing. Over all though I have gotten way more in return. Times when Optus network goes out, Amaysim gives me free data. Or when my old phone possibly might have used 3G for emergency calls, Amaysim gave me the option for a free new phone up to $150. With even free shipping. Instead I opted to get a more expensive $270 phone with a $150 discount. So was able to get a mid range new phone for only $120. Nice. Even contacting customer service earlier this year was no drama and the issue was resolved. So happy with the service that eventually even my wife even switched to Amaysim several years ago, and I am looking forward to another 10+ years with Amaysim.
I bought a new plan and have no service
I bought a new plan and my ESIM did not work. I have tried live chat multiple times, holding for WAY TOO LONG. By the time I get a response and check my phone I am disconnected and have to restart all over again with another person. It has been days now and I still dont have my ESIM. I have been dealing with people in live chat who have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON. NO RESPONSE TO MY EMAILS. MASSIVE REGRET, GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!!
Rip off.
Rip off.
Stop stealing money from my bank account. I even don't have yr simcard at all.
Single worst customer experience
Single worst customer experience. Been with these guys for 15 years and no idea why it changed but lat 6 months to a year has been the most frustrating time I have had outside ot Telstra. Changed the entire billing process and make it impossible to deal with them.
Honestly ... its cheap and fine if there are no issues but the minute there is (and they are happening more) then good luck with anything. Honestly - they don't give a shit anymore.
Ha... Update ... 2 hours on the most frustrating chat session EVER, I managed to multi task and port my number to a new company and be up and running by the end of it.... (No paid anything - but check out Tangerine)
Hey Amaysim ... 15+ years as a customer and you are so happy to let me chrun and burn you in review sites? !!! Good luck and your management team should be fired.

A Hopeless and Infuriating Connection Experience
I had the most frustrating and completely unacceptable NBN connection experience with Amaysim today. I was switching from Superloop to Amaysim and chose today as the connection date. I’ve switched NBN providers before and never experienced anything this irresponsible.
Everything was working fine before 9 AM. Right after 9 AM, the internet went completely down. Then I received an SMS from Amaysim saying they were activating my service and that it would take “a little longer than expected.” We waited for over 30 minutes, but the connection never came back.
And the worst part? There was absolutely NO ONE to contact.
Live chat: no response
Phone support: rang for over an hour, nobody answered
No updates, no communication, no estimated timeframe
It felt like the entire company had shut down
Both my wife and I were working from home today. She had important tasks and an 11 AM meeting. She was forced to use her mobile hotspot, with the help of her company’s IT support, just to barely keep working. I had a full work schedule myself and had to switch to hotspot as well.
All we needed was a simple answer:
How long will this take?
If the delay was going to be long, we could have gone to the office or asked them to pause the connection and resume tomorrow (my Superloop service wasn’t disconnected yet). But with ZERO communication from Amaysim, we were completely stuck.
This is not how any company should operate—
❌ Unexpected outage
❌ No support
❌ No communication
❌ Serious impact on work
❌ A completely hopeless experience
I switched for a better deal, but instead I got a disaster. After today, I have absolutely zero confidence in Amaysim. If you rely on your internet for work or study, I strongly suggest thinking twice before signing up.
Value for money 🙌
I’ve been using **Amaysim** on and off for years, and I’ve always found them great value for money. Their website and app are super easy to use, and paying for my plan has always been quick and hassle-free. On the rare occasions I’ve needed to speak to customer service, they’ve been really helpful and easy to deal with.
About three years ago I switched to the 365-day plan, and it’s been fantastic. The value for money is unbeatable, and the data rollover is a huge bonus. Overall, a reliable service that keeps things simple and affordable. Recommend!

Prepaid SIM - poor support, and no refund
I bought a prepaid sim for a holiday in Australia. It turns out my phone had an issue in that it was set up to use 3G for calls, and therefore unable to connect to the Amaysim network. By the time it took to work that out, we had left the city that I bought the sim in, so couldn't go back to the shop to get a refund. But the Amaysim help people said there was no problem, and would refund me. But then I got the run-around, back and forth and bounced from person to person. They insisted the only way to arrange the refund was to voice call me, but of course my phone wasn't capable of voice calls.
Then, back home, a few months later, I got a message from the company I bought the phone from, letting me know the 3G network was getting shut down here. BUT - all I needed to do was to dial a magic number, and the phone would be switched to a different system. AND OF COURSE Amaysim never knew about or offered that advice.
