I’ve had a very disappointing…
I’ve had a very disappointing experience with Amazon. Not only was I treated poorly by their delivery personnel, but a package I never received was marked as delivered. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, I’ve been met with unhelpful responses and still haven’t received my full refund. This has caused me a great deal of frustration and stress. Don't buy from Amazon again, they are corrupt.

Do not ever believe the delivery time they mention on their website! I had especially chosen the items that I needed, among the ones that can be delivered in two days, still I got the half of my order on the estimated day and now I have been told that the rest will be delivered in two days time.

My experience with Amazon NL and DE…
My experience with Amazon NL and DE have been mixed. Yes Amazon goes to great lengths to get you your products. Kudos. Lots of labor behind the scenes! Their returns policy is also so easy. Although there are caveats. Sometimes you can get lucky and get items at a very nice price not seen anywhere else in the Netherlands or Germany. They use pricing aoftware that automatically adjust prices for sellers to make the most of selling. This can get you lucky. I bought mostly electronic gadgets. I guess the only downside is when they've started to use paper bags to ship items. Some items with collectible value will get damaged in the shipping process. Beware. You can then return these items yes. But if you do this a couple of times and constructively complain to Amazon about it. They will close your account. Like they did mine. Although this isn't consistent and account closes are privvy to their own judgement. Meet a supervisor with a bad day or personality and you're done. So this might vary. I've heard Amazon now reinstated the option to still hide the contents of the packaging. Which will, if you order items large enough or plenty enough, will be shipped and protected by a box. I like Amazon. But sometimes they can be very very harsh to customers. I still don't have my account back. Nor am I able to create a new one. Ah well.

Phones are simply thrown out on the street. In my case the delivery driver came before noon on a working day. After work the phone was gone. You can then go to the police to solve their problem and your money is gone as the wind. Been without a phone for weeks due to this disastrous service. Thieves!
Ordered an iPhone
Ordered an iPhone; delivery required giving a security code to the courier. Initially, the courier took the code but delivered incorrect packages. It took three days to receive a replacement package, which, upon opening, contained a travel charger instead of the iPhone. Customer service said they couldn't assist immediately as they needed to investigate the issue and promised a callback within 48 hours. I paid 800 EUR and haven't received the item, feeling effectively scammed.
Account blocked and no way to unblock
My account was blocked just after moving o the UK and getting a prime subscription. They tell me to call customer service (US number), I did and they cannot find my account. They tell me to call Amazon NL (where my account is originally from) but there is no number. After insisting the guy gives me a random Belgium number +3222012345 that doesn't seem to be the right one.
Flawed goods sold as new
Normally no problems with Amazon.nl But for more expensive items, over 100 euro, I will think again.
Flawed monitors sold as new. Ordered 2 monitors and the first had a dead pixel (probably already noticed by Amazon, but still put up for sale), the second a defect volume knob.
Likely the reason why these older type of monitors (wanted the same model, so I had a pair of the same) where still not sold.. I accept my loss, returning will take too much time and hazzle. If possible at all..

Amazon.nl Turned it all around
I had horrible experiences with Amazon.nl initially. However, they have had an amazing turn around. While a faithful Bol.com fan, I needed a book urgently. It took 15 days (while I have expedited shipping) vs 1 day with Amazon.nl.
I have also had several items I had to return, they really stepped up their game and are reliable and a solid delivering company.
Returning goods
Unfortunatly we bought our daughter a puzzle she got twice with the holidays. Returning the package was easy and the swift payback was a surprise. Really happy with the service!
Worst service provider in Netherlands
Amazon is the best service provider in my experience but in Europe Amazon is completely useless.

Post nl, the biggest joke in the Netherlands are their delivery partner, a company who are nothing but a bunch of thieves!
Basically the experience I’ve had is like this, post nl stole my parcel, said it was delivered, package signed for but no mention whatsoever who signed for it and where they live, so I decided to have any future parcels delivered to the post nl point thinking they can’t steal it now, but post are so stupid and their employees don’t seem to have to answer to anybody so they just take it wherever they like, so they took my package to the pick up point in the other side of town, so I cancelled, got a refund and they got the items sent back to them from the post nl point, the Amazon worker was actually so sweet that I gave them another chance but the exact same thing happened again, fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me so now Amazon can, F*** Off!
So anyone in the Netherlands, if your thinking of using Amazon just remember they work with crooks, aka post nl and you’ll need to be lucky to see the items

Nothing Possible...
Ordered a product that dropped in price. But apparently was too early and few hours later next day the price dropped even more. Contacted customer service to see what's possible but looks like nothing.
Only option I received was to return the product when received and order it again with the lower price. Not very green Amazon... Cancelation was also not possible anymore while the status page of my order showed it still near the ordered line not even close to being dispatched...
Then not to much later you read a message on the customer service page all orders between 17 Nov and 27 Nov will be automatically refunded if the price drops even more... But when you ordered on 16 Nov 22:00 you are out of luck and need to jump through hoops to get it for the lower price. Customer Service is not allowed to refund the difference and change your order... Again not very environmentally friendly for such a big company, wasting a lot of unnecessary CO2.

I've made several purchases recently and I have to admit the service was very satisfying
Plus points:
- very fast delivery
- they usualy don't charge any shipping costs
- good prices
- few orders was returned without any issue, refund arrive next day.
Minus points:
- By ordering anything in amazon, you're automatically signed for spam emails, which I hate. I would take 2 stars out, just for poor advertising system but being fair: 4/5.
Disappointing service Amazon Netherlands!
I was loving Amazon shopping until I required some customer support in the Netherlands. It is my third time phoning to resolve a login issue, after holding for 22 minutes and being transferred I was cut off. My second attempt resulted in a commitment to resolve my issue within a few days, that was over a month ago. Because I cannot login to my account my only alternative is to phone which is not working. Very sad indeed. I did not mention that it was also difficult to find the local phone number. Disappointing service Amazon Netherlands!
