Disappointed with Amazon had ordered…

Disappointed with Amazon had ordered bottle of Jack Daniels with other items, all said were dispatched and coming on the same date, however the Jack Daniels wasn’t delivered?? but showed up saying delivery was attempted (liars) I was in they never knock they just chuck parcels on floor! They never follow instructions. Got in contact with customer services and explained all of this, that I was in and I have it on Camera they did not attempt to deliver the Jack Daniels only two parcels in hand to deliver, no Jack Daniels in hand whatsoever. walked back to the van with no parcels in hand!!! Customer services from Reading phoned me asking about the item and was going to try and get the item sent out again later this evening. It just keeps saying item is running late, still arriving! it never did. This company has gone downhill.

Terrible delivery

First, delivery - I have had numerous chats with customer service about delivery. Although I have made it clear that the delivery person should knock loudly and wait for me to get to the door, only occasionally does that happen. And if I'm not to the door quickly enough, or I'm out, the delivery person NEVER follows my delivery preferences - to either leave with a neighbour (several are very close and at home) or to take it around the back of the house (easily accessible) and put it under the table there. Instead, they leave it on the doorstep, which is easy to see and very accessible from the pavement only a couple metres away. We are on a busy road, with lots of traffic, and in light of the increasing problem with stolen packages, it amazes me that Amazon delivery pays no attention to the instructions left for safe delivery.

Second, returns - I don't know why they have changed to make it more difficult, but the new system is very confusing!

Further to the above comments:
I tried to talk to the delivery guy about the problems and he just fobbed me off with an excuse of too many packages for him to deliver and expected my sympathy for his workload. He clearly has no intention of even reading my delivery instructions.
I have downgraded to one star - I'd give less if I could - it's goodbye to Amazon for me. I'm sick of dealing with them.

Order number

Order number: 026-8106299-5112303
I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding my recent order. Several of the items I purchased have not been delivered and are marked as missing. These items were bought during a promotional offer, which significantly reduced their price at the time of purchase.

While I appreciate the refund that has been offered, the amount only covers the promotional price I originally paid. Since the promotion is no longer active, the refund is not enough for me to repurchase the items. What I need is not simply a refund of what I paid, but a resolution that allows me to receive the items I originally ordered.

I have now been transferred between multiple agents, at least five, and unfortunately none have been able to provide a clear solution or an escalation path. This has left me without the items I paid for and without a fair means to obtain them.

I am requesting the following:
1. A replacement order for the missing items at no additional cost to me, or
2. A refund that reflects today’s cost of the items so that I can repurchase them.

I kindly ask that this matter be escalated to a supervisor or a team equipped to resolve issues involving lost promotional items and refund discrepancies.

Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to a prompt and fair resolution.

Useless baboons

Amazon restricted my account to digital purchases only .
They won’t give me an explanation as to what I’ve meant to have done wrong after being a loyal customer of over 20 years .
I’ve asked some department called OFM for an explanation but get ignored .
Amazon you are scum

Don't you just love Amazon

Don't you just love Amazon ? Now they are using enviromentally friendly paper packaging. Good for them, works well or it would if the driver had bothered to get out of his van and deliver the package to the front door porch. In stead he threw it at the gate and left it to get soaked in the rain!! Of course paper (bag) packaging does not work well in the rain, it tends to disintegrate. Which is how we found it after recieving a message that it had been delivered. Usless Amazon, usless. Is this how Jeff Bezos recieves his Amazon deliveries?

I have been a Prime member for years

I have been a Prime member for years. I LOVE Amazon and PRIME Tv. Order an item on App or online and you get it the same or next day. So driver leaves parcel on doorstep rings bell and goes, so what he is busy a lot of deliveries to do. Prices are sometimes the best and you can get items that you would have trouble finding in the shop. I ordered an item from another online seller paid £15.00 for next day delivery i needed it urgent. It was more expensive on Amazon. Phoned next day to make sure it was coming. Sorry item not in stock WTF. Refund took 10 days to get to my account. Ordered an item on Amazon coming tomorrow. But then i decided to buy from screwfix. Tried to cancel from Amazon but to late item despatched. No problem Ive done this before. Item arrived, booked a return and booked for Royal Mail to collect from my home sometimes free sometimes £1.99. Royal mail turn up Scan, stick on a label take it away 30mins later from Amazon we have given you a refund. EXCELLENT service. I did cancel an item a while ago £25 but it still got delivered. Phoned and spoke to customer service. Apologised and told me to keep item and no charge. Again EXCELLENT customer service. I must be ordering something every week

The driver who should have delivered a package would not leave it because l wasn’t in and my wife wasn’t going to provide her full name and date of birth; so he went to our neighbour, who was expecting a package; and used her details to say he left the package with her, which he didn’t (we’ve know our neighbour got + 20 years and trust her) the driver lied about delivery our package and tried to implicate our neighbour; be very careful when using Amazon- whilst the company might be legit some of their drivers are not; !!!!

Influx of cheap low quality products

Used Amazon for years but this last year I have had nothing but trouble with the product quality of the items. Shoddy tat. Seems to be more and more fake reviews and substandard items being sold here. Amazon are slow to intervene. The return process is the only good thing about buying on this platform.

Possible legal action if the wood burning pen is faulty

Last week I received an email from Amazon saying that a wood burning pen I had purchased was faulty, and needed to be returned. I tried to follow the link, but when I clicked on the section regarding recalled items, it said that there were none. After trying various ways to contact Amazon, I finally got hold of a human being rather than AI generated messages! I gave the lady the order code stated in the Amazon email. She came back saying it was an error, and that the code number referred to a totally different order of mine. I asked her what exactly it did refer to, but she cut me off before answering. I can now only assume that the wood burning pen I purchased over a year ago, is safe to use fingers crossed. However, I have told my wife that if I should get electrocuted by it, she is to sue Amazon for as much as possible in damages.

Very unfair treatment and distressing experience with Amazon

I bought an expensive pair of Salomon shoes — a brand that provides a two-year warranty for material defects. After less than six months, the inner heels started wearing out badly, something that had never happened before. I contacted Amazon Customer Service, clearly explained the issue, and was told to return the shoes for a refund.

After doing exactly that, I received a warning accusing me of abusing the return policy because the shoes were “used.” How could they expect unused shoes when I reported a material defect after half a year of normal use?

When I tried to explain the situation again, I only wasted my time on the chat. Worst of all, I received that stressful warning email on Sunday morning, my only quiet day after a very difficult week. The way Amazon treats honest, long-term customers is simply unacceptable.

Unfair account deactivation and terrible customer service

I am beyond frustrated with Amazon right now. Out of nowhere, they suspended my account so I can only make digital purchases and they won’t even tell me why. I’ve reached out to customer service multiple times, and every single time I get the same useless responses. Nobody can explain anything or direct me to someone who can actually help. It’s like talking to robots reading from a script.

What makes this even more ridiculous is that this all started because Amazon’s own delivery drivers kept leaving my packages in random spots around my building, where they’d get stolen before I could grab them. I only got refunds because I never received my orders and not because I did anything wrong! Now it feels like Amazon is punishing me for their delivery failures.

I’ve spent so much money on Amazon over the years, and this is how they treat loyal customers? No explanation, no accountability, no real help, just automated replies and dead ends. Absolutely unacceptable. I expected better communication and accountability from a company as large as Amazon. Instead, I’ve been left completely in the dark, with no explanation, no escalation path, and no resolution. Really disappointing experience.

Amazon 3rd Party sellers - "licence to defraud"

1) The seller advertised shirts on the Amazon platform using the terms 'flannel' and 'lumberjack'
These terms are EXCLUSIVELY used to describe shirts of considerable thickness worn in cold countries to combat the cold. The shirts sent by the fraudulent seller simply has the patterning associated with this style of garment but are TOO THIN (they are as thin as a dress shirt) and should never be termed flannel or lumberjack.
The seller should not be using descriptors that are not honoured by the garments they've provided

2) I ordered 3XL size and the size I tried on wasn't even a large size..
The seller must know they are dispatching shirts not the size requested.

So 2 aspects of Fraud regarding my order
But I blame Amazon for putting me at risk in this act of fraud

COMPLAINT:
WHY DOESN'T AMAZON COMPEL ALL THIRD PARTY SELLERS TO BEAR THE COST OF RETURNS - rather than the defrauded customer having to pay to return goods

A simple, major way to keep sellers honest and protect customers would be that Amazon ensure that all returns are paid for by the seller.
When Amazon doesn't do this Amazon paves the way for fraudulent sellers to:

a) Deliberately send substandard, misrepresented goods
b) Pocket the money spent by defrauded customers
c) Pad their bank balance and leverage loans against it in the time it takes the defrauded customer to spend their own money on a postage return
d) Receive back the substandard, misrepresented goods ready to cheat a new customer
e) Potentially delay/deny the refund falsely claiming returns were incomplete/damaged thereby retaining the money fraudulently obtained from customers

I requested via an Amazon Customer Service phone call that the seller provide a prepaid address label so I don't have to pay for postage.
I have rejected the sellers rubbish offer to keep the goods for a 50% refund

Amazon please compel all sellers, including 3rd party sellers to pay for return postage. It's a no brainer...

Unprofessional Customer Service & Mishandled Delivery

I am extremely disappointed with Amazon UK’s handling of my recent orders. On 4 November 2025, 10 items I had ordered for 5 November delivery were delivered without prior notice to my address at Silvine Law, Chancery Lane, Holborn. The packages were left in an unsafe location, as shown in the Royal Mail photo (Tracking ID: FO399753832GB), and I could not locate them when I returned.

I contacted Customer Service twice, first at 22:40 and again at 23:37, each time for over an hour. The first representative was unprofessional, raising their voice and consulting with colleagues in the background, leaving me feeling unsafe. The Team Leader refused to explain the claims policy or allow me to submit a formal complaint properly. Compensation offers were inadequate (£30, £50, then £70), and my request for £250 was dismissed. The second representative was more courteous but still gave unclear information and misled me into thinking my orders would be re-dispatched.

Due to these incidents, I lost over two hours dealing with Customer Service, was left without my essential items—including Nytol Herbal Sleep Aid Tablets—and had only 4.5 hours of sleep, significantly affecting my professional responsibilities. Amazon’s failure to communicate, mishandling of delivery, and obstructive customer service caused stress, frustration, and personal inconvenience.

I hope Amazon takes this complaint seriously and improves its delivery and customer service practices.
