I ordered a book; they sat on it for a week and then claimed they didn’t have it in stock when I emailed to ask about the status of the order. They then said that they would offer me a book for free or heavily discounted to make good. I picked a book, and then they only told me that they’d give me the deal if I left them a positive review on trust pilot.

I then found that they had the original book I ordered listed for a much steeper price. So they just didn’t want to sell it for me for the original price they had listed.

I went and read other reviews on trust pilot, and found other people who had the exact same experience of ordering a book, them claiming it was out of stock and then finding it relisted for much more later.

Don’t buy from them. They’re scammers and slimy.

Incredible variety of books and the customer service is unmatched! Definitely will be using again in the future.

They illegally put my book for sale on their site. It was only available on Amazon KDP and they have copied it and placed it for sale on their site, fetching triple the price. KDP have now terminated my account due to this illegal listing.

My experience with American Book Warehouse was exceptional. Unfortunately, the book that I paid for was no longer in their inventory. I was given a full refund and offered another book that I chose at no cost as way to make up for the inconvenience of not being able to fill my original order. There are not many companies that would be this generous. I highly recommend purchasing books from them.

They deliverer was fast and timely and they answered me when I sent them a email the Bible I received was.in great shape even though it was a used one I had zero trouble and will order from them again very pleased

I had an issue with an order. The book I ordered could not be filled by the publisher so American Book Warehouse did not have the book in stock. ABW went above and beyond to take care of me and get me another book that I wanted. Thanks again for the help and making this right.

Major scam- perhaps once in a while they ship out an order just to keep the scam going but don’t do it. You can’t find your book anywhere else because it is not available- this is not the answer.

Beware. I tried to return a book that turned out to be useless (I am studying for an upcoming certification). I emailed them 3 times in a span of 2 weeks. No response. I had to file a credit card dispute, and it set my studying back. I would give them no stars if that was an option.

HORRIBLE company. I would never do business with them again. Ordered a book and it was pending for 2 months with zero correspondence. Zero calls or emails returned. I finally heard back with a refund saying the book was out of print. I saw the exact book on their site the following week for $350 dollars. I had originally payed $40. EXTREMELY unscrupulous business. Steer clear.

Had an issue with getting a textbook delivered which was out of stock, company had some back end issues with inventory/email servers. However, customer service issued me a refund and offered me a different book, apologized very sincerely for their tech issues. I appreciated their response cause I was worried this wasn’t a real site! Rest assured. Thanks!

I ordered a book from them and never heard a word back. I have called, I have emailed, and I have gotten absolutely no response from them. It has been over 2 months since I placed the order. Please heed this advice and take your business elsewhere. They are not a good business.

I ordered a textbook from American Book Warehouse and it turned out they actually did not have the book in stock. I was so impressed by how the company handled the issue! They promptly refunded my money, sent me a personal email apologizing for the mistake, and then offered to give me a free book of my choice. I would happily order from them again - great customer service really stands out these days!

Quick responses to my questions. A sincere willingness to locate a hard to find book that was in excellent condition. Your pricing and shipment time are much appreciated.
You will be my first choice for future book orders.

They were the only ones who had the book I wanted. There was a problem with shipping, most likely due to the holidays. But the customer support responded quickly and showed concern, updating me with the shipment and even refunded some of my order

Took my money and extra for priority shipping. Never shipped the product. Never have me the “automated email with tracking info”. Ignored 6 attempts to contact over 2 weeks. Had to file a dispute with the credit card company

One of the most awful customer service and overall online shopping experiences I have had. Did not receive my order, took over a month to even receive a reply, never got a tracking number. Once they did reach out they attempted to bribe a 5 star review. Overall shady practice, would recommend shopping elsewhere.

I never received tracking information, nor my book. They did take my money, though. I had to do a charge back through PayPal. 0/10

Excellent customer service. Extremely friendly and helpful. They were able to resolve my issue quickly and professionally. Would recommend!

1. Never received my order (ordered December 7th)
2. No tracking provided when item "shipped"
3. Non responsive customer service (sent one response after I sent a complaint through Amazon demanding a refund) (I sent 4 emails, including one to management, Amazon sent an inquiry on my behalf and I also left two voicemails). Amazon, NOT American Book Warehouse, has since refunded me as I used Amazon Pay.
4. Company claims they are using AI for help being short staffed (I never got an AI response) and they claimed my item should have arrived on the 19th - but they also had no tracking and had reached out to the shipper... it has been over a week and I still have not heard back).
5. Proceed with caution from this company.

NO customer service. I’ve left at least 5 messages and 2 emails. No reply. The book arrived 2 weeks after ordering it and it is used and beat up. I did not order a used book!
