the Appfolio future event is a must

The classes and the knowledge center was amazing I would have attended others as well I will defiantly attend next year to progress my understanding further I can't wait also I feel like you heard my concerns and reacted towards those issues. this seemed like a must prior to starting with Appfolio.

NO SUPPORT

Do you like to work with a company that offers support, look elsewhere. No one is home! They want to to use their chat support which only refers you to instructions on use. Very, very disappointing. Someone tried to change my password so I wanted to speak with someone about how to protect our account further. No one is there to help. Scary.

I could not set up my account due to a death in the business

I could not set up my account due to a death in the business and the legal issues that followed. That didn't stop Appfolio from billing me nearly $500 per month, refusing to refund me or stop charging me, and asking me to pay them over $1000 to buyout my contract. I paid thousands of dollars with nothing to show for it. Horrible customer service. Carelessness. Don't sign up with them.

This place is a scam along with any other apartment complex that deals with AppFollio.
Beware of any place that claims to have one apartment available out of a 50 or more and want you to pay a fee to do a background check on you.
They take one apartment and make it the nicest one out of all of them, so,when anyone comes to look at it they are amazed how nice it is and especially how cheap it is. Then when you decide to apply to rent it and pay the $20 to $55 processing fee they will deny you for the smallest reasons possible just to scam everyone who applies for that apartment out of the fee.They don't care if you have a guaranteed income such as Social Security because your disabled, that the government is paying 70% of the rent, that you have a 100% payment history , no derogatory marks, no criminal record or anything else bad on your credit record. They will use back child support from 25 years ago to deny you. The Moral of this comment is; if an apartment looks way to good compared to rest of the whole complex and is super cheap, do not apply to rent it, and definitely don't pay a penny on a processing fee because you're going to be out that money and starting over again. This has happened to me 3 times in 2 weeks. Surprisingly all 3 complexes only had one apartment available, and what shocked me the most after the 3rd time was the fact they all deal with AppFollio.

From failure to success!

Our company consists of a small team of 5 with just over 450 units. We had bought out a sinking company 2 1/2 years ago and were told "you should get rid of AppFolio, they suck, and go with a better company" by the previous owner. I have to admit when we bought the dumpster fire of a company, it was a temptation to break up with AppFolio and start from scratch; however, after diving into AppFolio, utilizing the help center, trainings, and cleaning up the system with APM help it was evident that AppFolio was our saviour and not the problem. Learning the ins and outs of the tools AppFolio offers and then implementing them with my team, tenants, and owners, allowed us to save the catastrophe of a company we purchased and create a thriving community where Owners needs are met, Tenants feel heard and supported, and my team can manage the high volume of tasks they have each day. I am eternally grateful to AppFolio and attribute our success, in a large part, to the tools AppFolio provides.

It was a great party

It was a great party. The presentations were a bit "meh" and repetitive (AI YES WE KNOW) overall, but the evening festivities, food, and the new venue were great. Maybe consider a more modern music group for next time, but the Rady was super fun and we all had a great time. Thank you!

Maps/Notebooks

LOVED the venue, and all of the parties. A few things -

It was hard to find some of the classes and the map on the FUTURE app wasn't helpful. I would reccomend something a little more interactive to find what class is where.

In the past, we always got notebooks in our goodie bags. I didn't bring my own as I thought they would be provided. Would've been helpful to have one!

Once in a lifetime experience

It was all around a very inclusive and immersive experience. I feel like i know more about our software than ever before. We were offered classes that were explicit to our job rolls and titles

customer service has gone from excellent to extremely poor.

For the past 12 years, I have been using AppFolio for my property management business, and I have watched as their customer service has gone from excellent to extremely poor.

Recently, I returned a security deposit to a tenant who claimed that he did not enter the bank account number where the funds were transferred.

I begged the agent to escalate the issue to the legal team, but he never did. I had to search on Google for the legal team email and when they finally responded, they informed me that they could not file a claim for that transaction. As a result, I lost $8,000.

Additionally, I requested that the option for tenants to pay by credit card be removed due to issues with chargebacks, but I was told that this isn't possible. Instead, I have to disable online payments on each tenant's page manually. Smaller property management software has this option.

What happened to the exceptional customer service I experienced when I started using this platform?

Rather than feeling that the company is protecting my business, I now think I’ve lost a significant amount of money, and no one seems to care.

Tuesday was a great day

Well planned!

The program was set up well and it was easy to find where the individual sessions were. We also like the one on one session and all the food & entertainment provided.

The conference was mostly incredible!

The conference was incredible, and I really enjoyed the venue. However, one thing I’d suggest changing is to wrap up the event at least an hour before the hotel's checkout time. Several attendees I spoke with found it challenging to attend the closing keynote and check out of the hotel on time.
