Useless for me. I just want to play the itunes library I already have - including music I was happy to pay for and now own. Apple closed down itunes as it was not good for their greedy business mod... See more

I recently had a terrible experience…

I recently had a terrible experience with Apple Music. My subscription renewed without my intention, and I canceled it on the same day. Despite acting immediately, Apple refused to refund me. It feels completely unreasonable to not accommodate a refund when I didn’t use the service after the renewal.

The lack of flexibility and poor customer service made the whole experience frustrating. I expected better from a company as big as Apple. Be cautious if you’re considering subscribing — they seem more interested in holding onto your money than treating their customers fairly.

Beware of the automatic renewal…

Beware of the automatic renewal subscription

After purchasing an Apple product, I was given 3 months free of Apple Music subscription. After the 3 months, I received an invoice from Apple Music for a 1 month subscription renewal, before this invoice I received no advisory email from Apple Music that my free subscription was coming to an end and that my subscription would be automatically renewed for a further 1 month. I immediately cancelled the 1 month renewal subscription and filed for a refund claim. The claim was rejected and the descion final. Lesson Learnt! This has left a bad impression on me regarding Apple as a company. Shame on you, Apple Music.

Great in all aspects, for some people

Apple music is in my opinion the best for anyone who has an iPhone and uses it primarily to listen to music. I'm using Sennheiser Momentum headphones and the sound quality is Noticable better than Spotify for example, and it's also super cheap for what it offers. The UI is fresh and feels different and fluid, which makes it feel great to use.

My only gripe is that if you are not in fact only into the Apple ecosystem (for instance you have a Windows machine as well for gaming), then you will have a subpar experience there

Unfair

I had Apple Music more than a year already probably 2 years, it took me 100’s of hours to make my playlists and i just want to say apple sucks on this because once you cancel your subscription they will wipe out all the hard work, the problem is: they don’t give a foxtrot about customers but only about money, i could rate this 0* if possible, don’t make apple music subscription, it’s very expensive and it doesn’t worth it, nothing special, find alternative: there are better and cheaper, apple music making money only because of people’s ignorance….

Don’t get Apple Music

I ended my subscription to Apple Music.
To punish me, they deleted all playlists from music on the iPhone. Including playlists created in iTunes with music I own going back 14 years. They wiped every playlist. Countless hours of work. It’s criminal.
Their support team claim it is in their terms of service to remove any playlists created with subscription music, which I understand but this isn’t what they did. Searching online shows this is one of their tactics to keep you subscribed and punish customers for not paying them a monthly fee.
Bring back iTunes.
I’m taking my business to Spotify. They don’t delete anything after you stop subscribing, I’ve checked.

Apple Music/itunes avoid

I recently tried to use 3 months free Apple Music which I got with a Currys purchase. There was no way I could get logged in as I kept getting told my email address was already registered and would not let me create new password. Also in chat I asked if it could be anything to do with itunes which I used to use. I was told there was no connection between apple music and itunes! Finally, I have had £65 sitting in itunes and there is no way I can get access to it.
No problems with Amazon music that I have switched to.

I have used apple for many years since…

I have used apple for many years since the first device of Iplayers came out and put my Cds on the apple which was great. Over the last two years ago, the pictures of bought albums on itune got all mixed up and spend a lot of time with the support who came up empty handed. More recently all my CD's added to apple just disappeared although they show on the system. Keeps telling me cant find the location. It seems they are pushing us into monthly subscription where they make more money.

ITUNES 10, APPLE MUSIC 0

I had problems when iTunes refused to reload tracks which I had purchased. Technical telephone support was good, and advised me to switch to Apple Music. Problem solved, but then the other problems started. Apple Music is awful, so many good features have gone. With iTunes, I used to be able to search the store free, to purchase an album or a single track, to upload CDs and burn CDs, to import music. All gone in Apple Music. The iTunes library index worked for albums and artists by initial, Apple Music "index" is just scrolling through long lists. Why the detrimental changes? I would still use the ITUNES services but there is no way I'll pay the monthly fee for Apple Music.

Red Alert We May Be Giving Away Something For Free

Continual requests to 'Log In and Verify'. I have it free with my EE contract, but I'm done, it's so unreliable, I'd rather foresake the so called 'benefit' and sign up and pay for something that delivers. I used to pay for Deezer and it BLEW apple music away. 2.2 Stars on Trustpilot for a major, worldwide company is shocking. Do yourself a favour, if you like music, seek an alternative and save yourself the frustration.

My wife purchased a song at the Apple…

My wife purchased a song at the Apple store. they charged for the song & she never got the song. There is no place on there site to email them as to why she never got the song. We had a hassle the last time we purchased a song from there. They seem to be worse now. My recommendation is buy your songs else where.

The app offered 3 months for the price of one.

Sign up and the renewal date is set for 1 month and I had already been charged for 1 month.

Support just quote "you weren't eligible" and *we can't find a record of the payment".

Breach of contract as there were no terms or exclusions shown in the sign up flow.

Acorporation of thieves

This is about as unreal a situation as I have ever experienced with a company. Last year I installed Apple Music on my phone and opened an account. I had been using itunes for decades and had amassed a huge library of purchased music and podcasts .
Eralier this year my ipod classic was stolen while in South Africa. A week later I found my Apple Music id had been deactivated and I have subsequently discivered that all my purchased music in the cloud is inaccessible and that the account cannot be reactivated due to what they say is some violation of conditions of Apple Cloud.Needless to say ,I have no idea as to what they are talking about.
Net result is 20plus years of music purchased legally from these peopleis inaccessible due to their actions. No explanation has been forthcoming as to what violation has occurred to justify such drastic action.
Basically: Apple Music have stolen my legitimately purchased music-they are thieves.
Have nothing to do with them.

It's quite bad (nearly bad)

It's quite bad (nearly bad), delay music generating and there's no diversity of music genres. All in all, the apple music's interface is sometimes laggy and so complicating. Can apple pls extend the music's high quality platform to more devices like not just Apple's devices. Make it free if you can:>!

Apple Music country top 200 songs is not current top chart hits as advertised. It's hours of old music not what is popular and playing on the radio now. Can't possibly be updated daily. Very disappointing!!

Apple Music for Artist

I am artist with more 100k monthly listeners and I'm reviewing Apple Music for Artists, not the actual Apple Music.

The service is terrible, from the complicated, messy and lacking UI, to the poor customization option, to the bugs that often occur and the terrible customer service. I really dont like it!

Apple spam music - "FREE" - no!

Buy a new iPhone and you will get bombarded with ads from Apple.
They want you to try “FREE MUSIC” and as we all know nothing is free.
Contact Apple and the friendly supporter will tell you it is not spam, Apple can send you offers.
Meaning that buying a new phone from Apple they get a free advertising place for their products and you cannot make Apple stop doing that.
Do not like the bloat on the phone either, some of it can be deleted but some seems to be impossible to get rid of.
Conclusion: Apple IOS is no better than Google Android. Only more expensive for less memory, slower CPU only nice design as positive but newer Android phones get better also when up in same price level.
